Inn on Broadway - Rochester

My son and I stayed at the Inn on Broadway (formerly The University Club) while visiting University of Rochester. We were thoroughly pleased with our rooms, both of which were clean, nicely updated, tastefully decorated and quiet. Beautifully restored, clean and charming. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was included, which was nice,but it was fairly uninteresting. I would definitely stay there again.

We got one of the luxury suites for a night and it was beautiful. Huge soaking tub, coffee maker, fireplace. Really lovely.

If you want something beyond the typical hotel, this is great old spot, but adequately updated.

Our stay at the Inn on Broadway was most enjoyable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were charming, large and clean. The location was excellent with several great restuarants and pubs within walking distance. We parked the car when we arrived and it stayed parked until we left.

Fantastic! You will love it!!

This was probably one of the most pleasant hotel experiences I've ever had and without a doubt one of Rochester's crown jewels. The property is the former private Rochester Club that has been completely renovated into a fabulous boutique hotel that also has an exquisite steak restaurant and renowned wine cellar on it's premises. This is a great place to stay. Plenty of parking, easy to get to, near music, movie theatre, restaurants. Room was attractive and very comfortable with good soundproofing from event below, gracious front desk staff.

We were going to a wedding and waited too long to take advantage of the hotels reserved for the wedding. We used Hotels.com for the first time and chose the Inn on Broadway as the price and location were close to the wedding. The Inn was beautiful and classy. This hotel should be much better. They are obviously cutting back on staff, hotel maintenance, food service, etc. Welcome to valets sitting in chairs, half dead topiaries, dirty tables in dining room for continental breakfast. Elevator was broken one day, obvious leaks in ceiling outside of elevator, shower door does not close, bathroom door does not […] close, noises heard from next door rooms and sliding doors on other floors. I loved this small botique hotel. The hotel staff was great we had a red eye flight and arrived at the hotel about 11:00 the room wasent turned over from the last guest and they sent houskeeping up to get it ready early for us, so we could have a nap after a long and exausting flight. I enjoyed my stay here but I found myself missing a wet bar in the room. I arrived at 1am and hadn't eaten for hours and needed a tiny healthy snack before being able to sleep, and there wasn't so much as a morsel available so I had to get back in the car and drive to a grocery store. A very nice city boutique hotel. Laid back, but quite elegant. Great for business travel during the week, or a getaway on the weekend.

Great location and area! Breakfast was good. Staff was great with the exception of one overally friendly person. Did not try the restaurant due to high price. Overall the hotel is pretty old and somewhat musty (definitely not a modern experience). When we arrived we were greeted with pleasant staff that were smoking on the front porch. Noticed that […] the roof leaked all over the stairs during a rain storm. The fountains outside were not working and the flags were not displayed. Each night the smell from the rest. filled the lobby. The front desk staff were great with the exception of an instance early one morning when I could not get directions to the hwy which was only a few blocks away. The room was nice and well equiped. The only complaints about the room was that the lounge chair had a broken arm and the padding was stained. The bathroom had a pedestal sink with very little counter space. We stayed for 5 days and after the first night considered switching to the Hyatt a few blocks away. Overall the stay was about average for the price! Les mer
