We picked this hotel based on the location and convenience. The hotel itself was average, nothing special, but served its purpose. The location was absolutely perfect and so beautiful! The breakfast buffet was excellent! The biggest con for me was the smell. It smelled like air freshner was being pumped through the air vents throughout the entire hotel. […] I am sensitive to smells and was very upset when we walked into our room. We didn't stay long because we went out to explore and by the time we came back the smell had toned down some and was better in the morning. If you have asthma it may be wise to avoid this place! "Hello???"
My wife and I got to this hotel to find it completely abandoned. The front doors were unlocked but nobody was inside. We found a note on the door saying that because of "Business levels" our reservation was moved to a different hotel. However, they made no effort to contact us or let us know...just that sign on the door. Fortunately the other hotel […] wasn't TOO far away, and was pretty nice. We picked that hotel specifically for the location and scenery around it, neither of which we were able to enjoy. Les mer
"Location, Location, Location"
The hotel was so convenient while enjoying the multitude of activities in the park. The king studio we were in was pretty small, but ok for the two of us and the amount of time we actually spent in the room. Service was ok, as both desk clerks I encountered weren't rude but I wouldn't classify them as friendly. We will definitely stay there again.

This hotel is in Stone Mountain Park, so if that's your destination the location is prime. The staff were lovely. The room looked nice enough-- but it was permeated by the smell of wet animal hair, probably dog. Also, it had a very squeaky ceiling fan. I have to admit I did not complain because we were hardly in the room, so I don't know if or how they […] would have resolved the situation. But next time I'll probably try one of the other hotels at the park. Les mer
I visited Stone Mountain with my 6 and 7 year old granddaughters and the convenience in itself was well worth the stay and money. The room was lovely and very large. The only disappointment was we could not see the carving's on the mountain but that was small. The service for breakfast was outstanding.

It was very easy to check in and the breakfest was very good. Just about any thing you could want. The room was big. We have three kids and there was room for everyone to sleep and move around. My stay would have been even better if they had an indoor swimming pool. The out door pool was 8 to 3 feet. To many bugs in the pool but the water was clean […] . Les mer

The hotel is in the best spot in the park. Check in and out was efficient and friendly. Car parking is near the room. Room is reasonable value for money. The King Room is small but nice, everything you expect. We had a nice balcony facing the pool in the middle of the complex but the sound of all the individual air conditioners makes it uncomfortable […] to sit outside. Restaurant is not open everyday but there are a few options in the theme park across the road and at the other Marriott. Plenty of souvenir shops in the theme park. A couple of extra costs to take into account. Breakfast, Wireless Internet and Entry into the park, is not included in the standard room cost. Les mer

Bedding was horrible. Thin and torn. Dirty tissue paper smashed on sheets. Cob webs and dirty corners and carpets. Marriott should be ashamed to have their name on this hotel.

Had a very pleasant stay. Room was big and spacious and clean, did need some maintenance work however. Most of the staff was very friendly and helpful. This hotel provided a fun place for a family gettogether, ever more so for its convience to the stone mountain park. was not happy with the internet, did not used it because of the added charge. The King Room is a great size. Just becareful, even if you paid for it...they will try to give you the small double room.

The inn is inside the Stone Mt Park and within walking distance of the major attractions (with the exception of Confederate Hall and the walking trail but that is just 3mi away and parking is available there). The room was spacious, and though in need of an update, it suited our family stay nicely. The add-on breakfast is well worth it--just a few extra […] dollars and you have a full spread to choose from. The kids also enjoyed the over-sized chess and checker boards outside in the courtyard. Walking from the inn does not lead you to the main ticket kiosk, so if you are planning to visit any of the attractions at the Crossroads, make sure you check the ticketing options--much cheaper to get a day-long wristband if you are planning to ride the train, play mini-golf and do some of the other activities. (I wouldn't recommend the train though--pricey and you can't see much of the mountain or any other scenery really.) Les mer

First of all, my wife and I waited 15 minutes, as nobody was attending the desk when we arrived. Next, our so-called suite was smaller than a motel room. Every conversation down the hall could be heard easily and was that way all night long. In the morning, my wife awoke to find silverfish bugs in the sink as she was about to prepare her coffee. "Stone Mountain Inn- I could have stayed longer!"
Our room was spacious and located right across from the famous sculptures at Stone Mountain. The hotel staff were wonderfully helpful and friendly. I only wish we were there longer to enjoy everything the area had to offer.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Stone Mountain Inn. I will agree with one reviewer that the room is small but who cares. It was a king bed room and for 2 it is perfect. My title is because I walked about a mile and then came across the trail to walk the mountain which was 1 1/4 mile up hill, walking on rock and I thought I would not make it […] but I did and the view was worth it. The room was lovely and comfortable, but the refrigerator did not work. The restaurant was closed, but staff was helpful in ordering delivery Chinese and recommending nearby restaurants. The gift shop was seriously understocked. Very friendly staff.

The Stone Mountain Inn is a piece of Americana. The locatin is perfect for those wanting to be close to the action. I had heard that the rooms were huge, but ours was actually small and no chair for just sitting. The breakfast buffet was terrific and the service excellent. The small town had two restaurants--Italian and German (which were recommended) The only other option for dinner (because the Inn dinng room is closed for anything but breakfast) is the park food or takeout--pizza or Chinese. "Nice Place to stay"
The GOOD: Everything was great at this Hotel. The rooms are clean and nice. It was a nice place to stay within Stone Mountain Park. THE BAD: Cleaning of rooms was very slow. The room did not get cleaned until after 1:00 or 2:00 pm daily or later.

My husband and stayed at the hotel for our wedding anniversary. The hotel was very gracious and hospitable. The location is right across from Stone Mountain so extremely convenient.

Nice old hotel in a great location. The rooms are huge, which was nice since we were travelling witha 3 year old, so he had room to play in the floor in the evenings. The location is awesome, step out the door and you are within walking distance to all the attractions at Stone Mountain Park. The room was clean and the employees were friendly and helpful. […] My only gripe is that since the hotel is older, the AC unit in our room was not up to the task of keeping the room cool day or night. What they don't tell you is that there are 2 Marriot Hotels in Stone mountain state park. One is a Resort which my GPS took me to.. this was not the hotel.. The marriot hotel I stayed in is called Stone Mountain Inn.. (A Marriot Hotel) this will help u find it easier.. As for the Hotel ... wonderful . Very Close to Stone Mountain, The Sky Ride (which […] takes u to top of mountain) and the laser Show venue . All walking distance (6 Min.) Absolutely love this Hotel.. Les mer

"Beautiful Hotel in Stone Mountain Park"
We got a great deal from Hotels.com, and our room was very nice. However, our room did not have a porch and rocking chairs like some of the other (probably more expensive) rooms, but we were only there to sleep, anyway. The room was spotless and decorated very nicely. The towels and linens were very good quality. "Make Sure Stone Mountain is Offering Everything while Staying Here"
Be very careful when booking a room here. Stone Mountain Park considers any time outside of when kids are off school as 'off season' and shuts down most of the rides. They only offer the laser show on the weekend during the off season. Hotels.com nor the Stone Mountain Inn let you know this until check-in.
"A Very Southern Atmosphere."
Our 4 day stay at the Marriott Stone Mountain Inn was a very pleasant stay. Staff was very friendly, the dining room has an awesome view of Stone Mountain and the buffet style menu was terrific. Our stay included visiting stone mountain, which is right across the road, we did not have to drive at all. Our room was huge, but there are no microwaves, […] which really sucked because we like to bring our own snacks. The only microwave we could find was at the hotel lobby. The refrigerators are very tiny. I would advise all guests to buy your drinks at the hotels vending machines for $1.00.. the price for the exact same drinks at stone mountain will set you back $3.25. Buy your tickets for stone mountain at the hotel, they give discounts for the rides that are not included with the all day pass. The pool needs improvement, whoever is in charge needs a few lessons on pool chemistry. Hardly any chlorine to kill bacteria and the ph levels were very low. Did not swim in it because of this. bring your own pool tester if you want a safe swim. T Les mer
"Room was Huge"
If you like a litte room to spread out, get the Room with to Queens. Our first night was spent in a room with a King Bed and we had two children with us. Little mix up in the reservations. The next night we stayed in a room with the two full beds. It was twice the size of the room with the King Bed. It was nice to have a little room to spread out after […] nine nights in small hotel rooms. The Hotel was directly across the street from the Laser show and other attractions. We watched the laser show the second time from the balcony of the Hotel after enjoying a wonderful buffet. I would recommend staying in this hotel if you are spending a few days at Stone Mountain.
