Jeg og min mann overnattet på Alexandra hotell i forbindelse med 4 dagers miniferie til Barcelona. Hotellet hadde ypperlig plassering i forhold til både serverdigheter, shopping og restauranter. Kan anbefale restaurant Cervecería Catalana som ligger 1 minutt fra hotellet (Mallorca 236), her har de nydelig tapas! Ellers var personalet strålende, både i resepsjonen og i baren. De kan mye om byen og snakker godt engelsk. Rommet er moderne inredet og vi fikk en liten balkong der vi kunne nyte morgen solen. Dusjen er herlig, med stor "overhead" dusjhode. Eneste minus må være at sengen var litt hard. Barcelona er en fantastisk by og et opphold på Hotel Alexandra kan absolutt anbefales som et godt utgangspunkt.

Kjempefin tur med 3 venninner. Sightseeingbuss, shopping, fortauskafeer, gode måltider og avslapning på hotellets tak og basseng. Fortauskafeene utenfor hotellet er også veldig ok med hyggelig betjening.

Servicen var bra, frokosten god (fersk appelsinjuice:), sentralt til alt, godt utgangspunkt for å oppleve Barcelona, nært til turistbussene. Oppholdet endte med forlovelse...:)
Veldig hyggelig (lite) hotell v/småbåthavnen nederst i Gamlebyen. Veldig vennlig betjening. Deilig frokost - passe stort/lite utvalg. Takterrassen er "gull verdt" i sommermånedene! Vi kommer gjerne tilbake.

Et mellomklassehotel ved havna - gjennomfartstrafikk mellom hotellet og det nye havneområdet/akvariet. Hyggelig, rask betjening. Hotellet hadde begrenset utvalg av frokost, og relativ dyr var den også. Hotellet var holdt i en italiensk, gammel stil - rommene var nyopppuset med gode, lyse bad. Vi hadde kun utsikt mot et atrium - men på toppen av hotellet […] fantes en bar med basseng og gode møbler. Men, styr unna drinkene der - de smakte det samme alle sammen -vi ble litt lattermilde da vi smakte hos hverandre. Første besøk i Barcelona - tror vi vil se på andre hotell neste gang - kanskje litt mer moderne? Men hotellet var greit nok - kan anbefales som et rolig hotell. Les mer

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Staff extremely helpful and courteous.Rooms very clean and well maintained. the location is just perfect for a city break and there is no need to use public transport at all. highly reccomended.
Very polite, helpful staff, all spoke English, small room with view of atrium, but very quiet, front of hotel could be noisy, strange drains smell in our room, rectified by staff, but it returned the next day! hotel about 10 minutes walk from Las Ramblas, big road in front, good value.

Rip off... Wont choose it again.. very expensive, and rooms are very small given what we paid. No closet space in room.. We had booked a room for 3 people, and they put in an extra bed leaving almost no space to even move.

Hotel is very clean and very convenient. Literally a two minute walk to the base of Las Ramblas, and a manned ticket location for the Hop-on-Hop-off. We would definitely stay at this location again when in Barcelona. The only complaint was the late niters at the sports bar next door were a litte noisy, but nothing terribly bothersome in the room.

I really splurged for a night at this hotel for my sister and I because of all the glowing reviews. I didn't expect a large room in a city hotel, but ours was tiny. And being on the interior court of the builiding, it was also very, very dark. Given that we had to get up early in the morning to return to the US, we thought we'd be fine with that expecting […] a quiet night away from the street. Unfortunately the music from the bar on the roof-top terrace echoed down the interior shaft of the building until 3 or so in the morning (our wake-up call was for 5:30) There was also heavy bass coming from a disco or a party in the building next door, so no sleep was to be had. Great location at harbor and edge of Gothic quarter. Super-comfortable and quiet room and the roof-deck/pool/restaurant was a fabulous respite from the hustle and bustle of Barcelona in August.

I was so relieved to arrive at this hotel and find that it was EXACTLY as described online- close to the metro, close to the harbor/dining and a few minutes walk from La Ramblas and other sites. Staff was great and accommodating. View from rooftop bar was lovely. Room was comfortable and clean (the robe and slippers were a nice touch!)

Excellent hotel with a fabulous deck overlooking the harbor. Location was great, and right near lots of things to do. Would recommend that rather than walking out to the R towards Les Rambles when you exit the hotel, turn L, walk to the first major street, and the turn L again. Walk a block or so, then turn R and cross over and walk through the passages. […] Terrific restaurants, bars and shops. Rambles is very touristy....the area to the L of the hotel is much better. Only negative is that breakfast was not included in the room charge...and for the extra 15E/person....just not worth the charge. Les mer

The hotel was charming. We booked a standard room but upgraded at check in to get a deluxe room with a view of the port and sea - worth it. The hotel was very well appointed and service always available. A few glitches with internet access but overall a great experience in a great location - would definitely return.

"Very comfortable room, good location."
We stayed in 4 hotels across Barcelona, Paris, and Amsterdam. This was by far our favorite. A very short walk to La Rambla. About a 7-10 minute walk to the beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. Our bathroom was outstanding. Two showers, one with a tub and one regular stand-up. Our friends stayed […] in a different room but didn't get the two shower set up. We paid the same price, so maybe request it? Les mer
Nice hotel in th eright place. Steps from teh Drasseras metro station, in th emiddle of action. WiFi is expensive and should be free for such a hotel It costs 9 euros per hr or 15 euros per 24 hr.

had to be moved/upgraded three times due to wrong bed configuration, unable to control burning/freezing shower water, aircon temp regulation, tv remote didnt work. "thats Barcelona" we were told at reception. excellent location except the street noise til all hours but that is everywhere i think. the upper deck had excellent views but was a little exy […] and service very slow but that seems to be the hotel motto. waited 20mins for my second beer, when queried "oh sorry i forgot" if it was a LOT cheaper you would put up with all of the faults. it isnt cheap so i would NOT recommend this hotel. loved Barcelona though. The hotel is in a great location, you can walk to everything. We requested a quiet room, which they gave us and it was perfect. The rooms are very nicely decorated and understated. My only complaint are the beds, they are hard!! Really, I like a firm mattress, but this was a bit much and not what I am used to with a four star hotel rating. "Fantasic, great location excellent all round"
The hotel service was outstanding, as soon as our taxi pulled up the doorman was there, helped us with our luggage, our room was lovely. The location well you could not get better, 5 min walk from La ramblas, 15 min walk to the beach and just a bit further to Port Vell, where we spent most evenings. I took my daughter for her 21st and we both loved […] the buildings,parks beach and nightlife. We had a massage everyday on the beach for 5 euros drinks on the beach, be warned there is some nudity, but all adds to the fun. all in all a great place Thankyou Barcelonaxxxx Les mer
"Charming and comfortable"
A long weekend with my sister. Would recommend this hotel. It was a very comfortable room with a sitting area just outside with a view over to the marina.The sixth floor has an even better view and has a small bar, and a plunge pool.Sangria in the early evening with great views! Very nice dining room, great buffet breakfast. Unfortunately not serving […] dinner on the days we were staying but enough restaurants around within walking distance. Walking distance to Las Ramblas and the beach as well. The position is good for the Gothic quarter as well. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel. The only downside was the noise one night from a bar/cafe a couple of doors down one night and the movement of chairs when closing. Les mer
"Fabulous hotel"
Brilliant location - literally 5 minutes walk to Las Ramblas. Rooms were spacious and very comfortable, as was the bathroom. Air conditioning was exactly what we needed as it was 36 degrees in Barcelona whilst we were there! Highly recommended!
"Location + Staff = Perfect Place"
Just got back from six nights at this hotel. If you can afford it (and you can sleep through some noise...but more on that in a minute), book it. You will not be sorry. The staff is first-rate. When our taxi pulled up to the curb, we were not even out of our seats when a bellhop was there with a luggage cart. Checking in took all of two minutes. The […] night before we left we inquired about catching a taxi at 9 for our trip the airport. The host wrote down our name and the time, and when we came downstairs just before 9 a.m., a taxi pulled up and the driver came in to the lobby to collect our luggage. Now that is great hotel service. when checkign in, we were a bit early, so they stored our luggage in a separate room. We spent an hour on their rooftop terrace, unwinding with a drink, taking in the postcard view, basking in the cooling Mediterranean breezes, and lounging on their shaded, covered and exceedingly comfortable chairs and sofas. The people who man the terrace bar are even friendlier than the staff in the lobby, if that is possible. They offer a limited food menu, but what they have is as good as anything we ate in any of the countless tapas bars within walking distance of the hotel. We would hit the terrace for an hour or two almost every day after returning from the day's exploring. We had it almost to ourselves anywhere from 4-7 p.m. Note that it does not stay open late, at least on weekdays. A couple of nights they hosted private functions on this terrace, which might have upset me had we wanted to spend time there in the evening. However, we were too busy having fun in the rest of Barcelona. But check each day at the front desk to see if and when the terrace might not be available. At those prices, this might be something they want to rethink. Two computers with free internet access and printing are available, one in the main lobby and another in a quiet alcove on the second floor. I do not know if they provide wifi. The room was superb. Hotel agreable, calme, services appreciables, tres bien situe a quelques centaines de metres de nombreux points d'attractions de Barcelone, donc faisable a pied. Parking surveille sous-terrain juste en face, mais cher. L'accueil par le personnel est correct, mais sans plus, manque un cote un peu plus chaleureux.

Fantastisk service i receptionen. Der var en computer som hotellets gæster kunne benytte på 1. sal. Værelse (standard) havde et smalt vindue til en baggård. Mørke farver på væggene. Mini fjernsyn. Terrassen på toppen af hotellet med udsigt over vandet var fremragende. Lille pool men mere behøver man ikke. Servering fra bar hele dagen, men OK at ligge […] med sin egen flaske vand. Masser af drinks på menu-kortet, men lidt svært at forklare at gin og tonic med cucumber, manglede en cucumber. Måske en detalje, men når prisen er høj, bør indholdet være som beskrevet. Barpersonalets engelsk var ikke helt i top. Der var også en restaurant på taget og maden så dejlig ud. Prøvede den ikke selv. Les mer
