Our room had a lamp with no light bulb, bathroom had burnt out light bulb, and the bathtub/shower had a slow drain. Continental breakfast was poor with a juice dispener that had "100% orange juice" but was thinned down with water and tasted closer to water than OJ. After our experience with this hotel, we will aviod all Ramada Inn Hotels.

Besides location relatively near Cal Poly, I found nothing to recommend this hotel. It was particularly telling when I alerted hotel management that the television in the room was not functional, I was told nothing could be done. While I didn't stay at the hotel to watch TV, this non-helpful, indifferent attitude was reflected in the low quality of […] hotel furnishings overall. Les mer

Good location and relative price.

The hotel was simple but very clean. It was very quiet at night and I was not disturbed by my neighbors. The people at the desk were friendly an helpful. It also has a wonderful Cajun restaurant next door which I highly recommend. All in all, I was pleasantly suprised!

I was in town for three days and two nights for a job at Cal Poly and was looking for a clean room with reasonable rates. Pros: Rates were reasonable. Hotel was very close to job. Located near fast food. Cons: Rooms were nasty, gum and candy wrappers on the floor. A USED bar of soap in the shower, hair ( pubic and from a head ) on two of the towels, […] on the shower curtain on the floor , and in the tub. Towels were mis-matched and close to shop rag condition, and there was hardly any TP left.The next morning I asked the guy at the front desk for a new set of towels, TP, and soap. He responded with his own question in butchered english....Don't you already have these items in your room? I said "no, thats why I'm asksing you". This went back and forth a couple of times untill he gave in and told me he would also have the beds made as if it were a special service. When I returned to the room that afternoon I could not tell if the towels were new or simply re -hung, I did notice that the coffee cup I had used that morning had not been replaced but just simply turned over as if it had been. We were very disappointed with the quality of service. Called to request extra towels and was told we could go get them ourselves. We needed extra glasses which were never delivered. For the cost of the room, we expected the basic service of towels and glassed delivered to our room. There was no hotel or surrounding information booklets or pamphlets […] in the room. WiFi was spotty at best. Would NOT recommend at all. We will find another hotel for our regular trips to SLO. Les mer

The hotel was perfect for our little college trip. Very close to the school and easy on-off the freeway. Nice and clean room and very friendly people in the office. Great place to stay for a short trip up to San Luis Obispo. Even great views of the mountains that are close by! This has to be the worse hotel I have spend a night in. Fire codes harzards everywhere. Customer service was bad... I booked for two night, but was outta there after the first night. Manager was rude and showed no concern for guests requests to fix the lighting, electrical outlets, water controls, hanging smoke alarms...etc. do not book.... This is a decent no frills kind of place, plenty of places to eat in the area. We had a suite, the extra space was nice. The beds were very firm, and quite uncomfortable. Room was clean...but bathroom drains did not work so well.

We arrived earlier than normal check in time, but were allowed to check in earlier. Very nice, and helpful proprietor. I couldn't figure out the shower. He showed me how to get the full amount of water required for my shower. I realized that it was because of the arthritis in my hands that I need to use both hands to pull the water spout out. Not the […] fault of the shower. Our toilet was running very slowly, and he fixed that for us. He was there full time, evidently lives on premises. Very pleasant gentleman. Older hotel that has been updated (low volume toilet, newer granite counters). Doesn't yet have the updated beds with foam padding and modern-looking comforter as some other pricier places. But it was clean, functional, located near Cal Poly and downtown and even had a relatively private back patio overlooking the creek. The room is very clean and comfortable except the pillows are too soft. The guy at the reception was very polite and allowed me to check in early.

This is one of a number of decent SLO hotels that are reasonably priced. In fact this one is better than a number of the others. It is a great location for Cal Poly parents. Restaurants are close by and you can get downtown in 5 minutes. Hotel has coffee and fridge in rooms. Walls and floors are not great for noise but we were not bothered on this […] trip. Vry good value for the money. Exiting hotel by car has limited vehicular view and somewhat dangerous.

The complimentary breakfast was only bagels, muffins and danish. I would call that continental. The carpet was filthy and the whole room just felt dirty. Will not stay here again.

We stayed in room 281. When I made reservations originally, I requested extra pillows due to 6 herniated discs in my back. Upon arrival, I was told there were no extra pillows. Then, to make matters worse, one of the pillows had a very large lump in it. My daughters and I actually named the pillow "it has a tumor." All the pillows were old and dingy. […] The refridgerator was off so by the time it got cold, our food was rotten. There were insufficient towels and they must have been at least 10 years old. Very thin, not even thick enough to dry off. The sheets were ragged as well. The blanket was not warm, it was the type that did not provide warmth. We expected a "cozy" room and bedding. Much to our surprise, that was not the case. Additionally, the breakfast was stale bagles, a few muffins so there weren't even enough for everybody and the juice was not fresh. The man at the counter did his best with what he had to work with. Oh, I forgot, I was told we could buy movies, well, all we had was a small t.v. with local stations and no movie channel and no dvd player to even put our own movie in. I was quite disappointed. I stayed here because it was convenient to Camp San Luis Obispo. Looks like an older hotel that has been refurbished. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and the TV worked. Price was the same as field-grade quarters at Camp SLO, so for me it worked out well. I would recommend to others.

Beds were old and uncomfortable. The hotel is in need of updating. Will not stay there again as there are better quality hotels for less money nearby.

We've stayed for years at another hotel in SLO, but decided to try something new that was a little less expensive. We will definitely stay there in the future. It's convenient to the freeway and has a restaurant on site with great breakfast. Room was very clean with comfortable bed and shower had good head with excellent water flow. We had booked a king, which they were out of and gave us twin queens which was fine. The unit was very quiet. We came in late and asked where we could get dinner. They recommended the restaurant Bon Temps adjacent. The room was very dated. The air conditioning made crackling noises, and my bag encountered a sticky rodent trap. And in the early morning hours I couldn’t figure out what was making a beeping noise. For wanting to go to downtown slo this is a perfect hotel for location. The price is fantastic, safe, and clean. Great restaurant outside as well. highly recommended

It was a pleasant stay conveniently located and it was inexpensive. W would stay here again.

Great value for the price. Motel shows its age but is clean and good service. Received great suggestions for dinner. Good location if on a college visit.

This room was not very nice. I would say it compared with Motel 6 or worse. I chose it for it's proximity to Cal-Poly, but the cost was way overinflated for what you got. Next time I go to SLO I will choose a different motel. If I am going to stay at Motel 6 quality, I might as well pay the Motel 6 price, not double.

It was perfect for my road trip travel purposes. The Cajun-style restaurant downstairs had great music and delicious food. My only complaints: - The "heated" pool was downright cold - The room door had to be checked that it was shut properly or it could be pushed open. The toilet leaked, and we only received two towels in our room. Added to our inconvenience was that doors were loudly slamming through the night.

You would be better off sleeping in your car. Our room #130 was disgusting. There was mold in the bathroom on the ceiling that was falling down,feces on the toilet handle,the floors were sticky and dirty.Walk across the carpet in white sox which turned black immediately. If there was another room available in the town I would have taken it.Unfortunately there was not. I called Hotels.com when I got home and they credited me back 50% of the bill. I was o.k. with that. The rating was based mostly on the value, location & limited business purpose. On this trip, it was a brief business trip and the room served for the limited purpose of getting back to my room to use the internet & place my head on a pillow. The hotel manager "Andy" was most accommodating, although someone needs to do something with the coffee. In […] this regard, it was perfect and very close to downtown where I spent most of my time walking around during business meetings and Starbucks' where the people were great. If you like the smell of curry in the morning this is the place for you. The stench in the lobby made it unbearable to eat the somewhat lacking continental breakfast. I have had better at less expensive hotels. They only provided Coffee, Danish, and bagels. No cereals or milk. The room was not clean, the bathroom was filthy, the hairs on the floor were […] not mine or my wife's. The lock on the sliding glass door did not work, the thermostat was broken, and no AC in the bedroom. (This was a King Suite). The remote control for the TV was also missing. The room was very dated and needs a make over. There are holes in the carpet, and the walls had at least three different colors of paint. I thought I was getting a good price when I booked this room. The place is outdated, which explains the reasonable pricing. I think, however, it is fair to expect clean linens on the bed. Was that dried milk on the blanket? Horrifying...

Easy on freeway access; walkable to downtown; couple of good breakfast restaurants within one block; pool is small so only nice if few or no people; good maid service; overall clean and well run. Has laundromat with two washer and two dryers (you may have to wait).

Hotel was quiet and close to downtown. Pool was clean and heated.

Fairly run down property, rude owners, somewhat sketchy clientele. Good waffles, though. Would not recommend.

What a dive. Thought we were at the bates motel.

It is a good place to stay at for it is in the heart of the town with the shopping centers only a walking distance away. The hotels are clean and tidy but not luxurious, the workers at the hotel were helpful but like any place there are also horrible workers it all just depends on what type pf person you are.

The light switch in the hotel did not work. My warm shower would turn extremely cold and then scalding hot periodically. Their boiler must not be functioning. The worst part is when I checked in, the clerk was rude and very mean. I tried resolving an issue with him and he was very unprofessional and got upset with me. Also, we had left a pair of $50 […] tennis shoes there and when I called the next day, I was told nothing was turned in. I do not recommend this place at all!!!! Les mer

We made a reservation here because it was one of the cheapest options, and we got what we paid for. It's a great location and great price, but don't expect too much past that. Several things in the room were either broken or patched up, and the continental breakfast included bagels but no cream cheese. I think that sums it up.
