Utrolig hyggelig hotellansatte, alle ville deg vel. Jeg følte meg tatt vare på. Hver kveld fikk vi hawaiian cookies på sengen. Rent og bra vedlikehold. Veldig bra beliggenhet, nydelig strand. Også rent på stranden.

We enjoyed our two nights at the hotel. It is an older hotel; however, our room was clean and well furnished. The grounds are nice, the Tiki Restaurant was very good, entertainment was good and the personnel at the hotel were congenial and helpful. The surrounding area is quite nice.

I was trying to late check out around 1 but they said I need to pay extra $90 even hotel was not full. Front desk agent told me someone already locked up my room Other guest was complianting same issue because our flight was 9 pm. So I wanted extra hour but we had to leave on time. I never going back to this hotel anymore.

This is a great choice. The bathroom was a little tight-we had a room with just a shower stall, no tub, but all in all this is a great choice. Great location, awesome grounds, friendly and helpful staff. We will return.

I have stayed at the kaanapali Beach twice and I do love the place. However, this time I choose to stay in one of the most expensive ocean view rooms. I was surprised that the ocean was a very far away and that the partial view rooms would have had almost the same view if not better. I was rather angry. Really enjoyed being in the lower profile building on the property. The surrounding tall hotels detract from the 'Hawaii' feeling of a resort area. Room was clean and fresh, and staff was very friendly and helpful. Very pleasant visit. We'll return.

The hotel was in a great location and was convenient to the beach walk that connected several hotels by a well lit path along the beach. We could walk to several places to eat and a wonderful mall that included some upscale stores, mid priced resturants and ice cream shops. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The beach was clean although the surf […] was somewhat rough for those with young children. The hotel decor is a little dated and needs to be refurbished but the location and staff were great. Let's start with the good - we were given a ground floor room ocean front. It's less than 10 metres from a busy walkway. We complained at first and asked to be moved, but soon realised our error - we had prime spot for whale watching on our tiny lawn, which was unbelievable. I bought new binoculars & spent all day watching spouts and fins from the comfort […] of my own room ( whale season Nov to April). The whale boat trip run by Trilogy leaves from front of the hotel & was a lovely, 2-hour 'whale ahoy' potter round the bay, with opportunity to run round the boat trying to get the perfect picture & hear them singing underwater. You also got a naturalist giving you lots of humpback facts ( OK I'm in love with the whales, but they were a-mazing). The nearby beach is long & glorious - so-so snorkeling at Black Rock 3 mins away, & Whaler's Village shopping 3 mins other direction. The bad - our room was in the only wing of the hotel not to be renovated & was very tired & smelt of terrible damp. The toilet blocked often ( cause of damp smell??) - though maintenance appeared instantly to fix it. I did look in a refurbished room - which seemed fine. Another minus - we found toe-nails in the carpet & don't really know if cleaning was that energetic. Also if you needed anything there was often a 10 - 15 min wait at front desk though, which they never seemed bothered to hurry up. We would go again - but only to whale-watch! Les mer

Our experience at this hotel was way beyond our expectations. From the free breakfast upon our arrival to the farewell ceremony at checkout. The food in the restaurants was delicious and the staff was friendly and professional. I will conclude that the KBH was the most Hawaiian hotel that we have stayed in.

No,,it's not a 5 star property. However, the location, service and the ambience make up for those last stars. Comfortable room with ocean view from the lanai (481), beautiful grounds with grass, trees and the ability to move a lounge chair to where you want it. Tiki bar and grill were great... Tiki terrace was very nice also. Walking distance to Whaler's […] Village. Trilogy catamaran leaves from the beach at the hotel.. Would I go back? Absolutely!! Les mer

We loved the Hawaiian culture of the hotel. The k.nut lei we were presented at our departure was such a generous gift and meaningful as well. All employees very friendly and helpful. Landscaping beautiful and kept up. We enjoyed the large checkers too!

The location of this hotel is amazing right next to whalers village. The hotel itself is rather mediocre but clean. The staff is friendly but rather slow even for Hawaii standards. I might recommend it but personally I will try someplace else my next trip.

All I can say was our stay at this hotel was great. The staff is awesome, freindly and very accomodating. You can not beat the value and location, as you go straight out from your hotel room to the most unbelievable beach on Maui. The free shows at night were very entertaining and the bartenders/waitresses were able to keep the drinks flowing (maybe […] too well :)). Unlike other reviewers, i found the rooms to be clean and well kept. We will definitely be back and recommend to everyone!! Mahalo to the entire staff.. Les mer

Wonderful location....couldn't ask for more. Staff was friendly and courteous. The room location was perfect, a beachfront room with access to lawn, then ocean. But..........the smell was almost unbearable. It was musty, moldy, meldewy??????. Had to wash out every item when we returned, including the suitcases.

I will go back as soon as I can. It isn't new or fancy, but I loved it. I love the Hawaiian activities. It had a beautiful beach and shopping near by. Great entertainment every evening.

although the hotel is not new the room that we stayed in smells good! no stuffy and worn out carpets.. i was expecting more about the "hawaiian feel" but its alright..walking distance to the whalers village is a plus

We enjoyed this hotel. The only concern was being in a room next to a family with very young children who were up crying during the night and therefore our sleep was disturbed. I am sure hotel staff would give you a new room if this happened. I waited a few nights to complain and then the family left so we didn't need a new room but hotel staff were […] concerned we didn't complain earlier. Would definitely stay here again. Les mer

We had a nice, large room. Chose ocean view, but also stayed in another room in same wing, with a pool view and distant ocean view....that one was less expensive but still very nice. It's not that large a hotel by Kaanapali Beach standards, so if you get a water view at all, it's a nice room. There was a fridge, would have loved a microwave. Pool is […] small, more for kids. Tiki bar, nightly music and dance was lovely, friendly staff, and aloha attitude were so nice. Kaanapali is more "ohana" than the chain hotels. We would return. Les mer

Thank You Hotels.com for sending us to the Kaanapali Beach Hotel. This Hotel is the best location of all the properties on Kaanapali Beach. You are next door to the best snorkeling for kids and it is very family orientated.

Everyone could not have been nicer! The staff, especially the front desk were wonderful. Initially given a king size bed for my sons room, when I had requested two doubles, they quickly changed their room, and returned my sons Ipod which he left in the first room, within minutes. And I know the hotel was sold out, so it could not have been easy to switch […] room so quickly. Granted its not one of the new ,fancy hotels on the beach but the rooms were nice, large, clean, and the beds were comfortable. They even had small, walk-in closets. There was a large grassy area which was great for families with small children. My only complaint, was a small pool, that was freezing cold, but I really can't complain that much, since the hotel is right on the beach. They give you a welcome gift, and a thoughtful good-bye ceremony with a keepsake lei, which was a really nice touch. Would happily return - anytime!!! Les mer

We love your Hotel. The family feeling there is very strong and it makes us want to come back time and again. We have stayed at fancier resorts...but they don't compare. Mahalo!

It was family trip including minor. When I checked in, they offered me 20% discount of meals at their restaurant (it is called TiKi Terrace). At the check out, they didn't not discount 20% off. I claimed it, and they discounted it from before tax price, not total price. Don't forget to closely look at your bill when you check out. Beach was fantastic […] though. Just finished my first trip to Maui. The overall experience is that the KHB is a good place for the price but lacking compared to all the other hotels around. Not many amenities ( no wifi...seriously, who doesn't have wifi at a hotel these days?) and the pool and food was not very good. The staff is really friendly though and it is right on the beach […] walk so it is easy to go to other places along the beach. If you want to stay at a luxury place, this isn't it. If you want to save a little money on the room and still be on the beach then this is a good option. And besides, the beach towels are almost the same color as the Westin so you can go lounge at their pool. Les mer

This hotel is ok for a place to stay in the heart of Kaanapali beach. The rooms are very dated but clean. Staff was very friendly.

The Kaanapali Beach Hotel was an excellent experience for my husband and me. It is a perfect location, we were treated very well by the staff, there was even an orientation session on our first morning here, which included a free breakfast. The beach and grounds were very clean, and there were lots of stores and restaurants in the area. We could take […] the bus into Lahaina for still more stores and restaurants. Most of Hawaiian hotels, Kaanapali Beach hotel has very caring staff, wonderful free ancient hula at night, great kukui lei blessing, great staff. Restaurant Tiki Terrace food was only OK, and service was uneven. Would recommend hotel but not restaurant. Get some pupus or drinks at the terrace bar and watch the show at night. Very busy place.

The accommodations, the friendliness of the staff, the location, the snorkeling, were the best. A great place with wonderful staff, one of our best decisions we made.

We were very pleased with our stay. The grounds, staff and whole experience at Kaanapli Beach Hotel was fantastic. We had a medical emergency in our party and the Kaanapli Beach Hotel staff was absolutely wonderful. I would recommend Kaanapali Beach over all the hotels on the island. Thank you all for making a difficult situation one of our best.

This hotel is located on the beach with a boardwalk (1 mile?)connecting several hotels, restaurants, and upscale outdoor shopping area (Whalers village). Fun to snorkel around Black rock and watch divers jump. At check-in they upgraded our room to a suite since we had already paid our rate through hotels.com. They gave us a free breakfast one morning […] (fruit, eggs, potatoes, sausage, cereal) while telling us about surrounding sites, with no pressure to buy, simply information. Free entertainment each night (hula, singing) near the beach bar/outdoor restaurant. We stayed here to save $ instead of staying nearby where our meeting was. While it was not a 5 star hotel, it worked very well for us for a better price. A few minor details to improve: bed was a little hard, small shower, tub stopper didn't work. These things were far overlooked for the friendliness and fabulous location. Other amenities adding to the experience - no add on fees (parking rates were reasonable and easy to get in and out quickly), vallet parking available if desired also reasonably priced, mini fridge, locked safe with key in room for miminal charge, two chairs/table on lanai, beach towel service by the boardwalk with no hassle, etc. We plan to stay here again! Stayed at the Ka`anapali Beach Hotel for 6 nights at the beginning of October. Was given a room on the thid floor of the Kauai wing facing the neighbouring hotel which was undergoing refurbishment work. Shortly after moving into the room we received a courtesy call enquiring if everything was alright. We said the room was fine but did not like overlooking […] the building works next door. The next day we were moved to the opposite side of the building, all baggage being transferred by the hotel staff. The hotel rooms appeared a little tired but more than adequate, although we did notice that some were undergoing decoration/refurbishment. All the staff were courteous and friendly. The hotel has a wonderful beach location, facing the neighbouring island of Lan`ai. It is a short walk along the coastal pathway to the Whalers Village where there are a number shops and eateries. A bus shuttle running hourly from The Whalers Village takes you to Lahaina for $1 each way or $2 hop on hop off daily ticket. The last bus back however, leaves about 9.00pm. Before making purchases at the Whalers or Lahaina, I would advise checking out the supermarket prices at the Cannery Mall on the outskirts of Lahaina. Daily evening shows take place on stage in front of the hotel restaurant, The Tiki Terrace. We dined there once and although the service was good the food was average. To one side of the stage is the Tiki Bar and the Tiki Grill from where, one evening, we ordered pizzas. I must say that this was the low point of our visit to Maui. The pizzas which appeared to be frozen were truely horrible and at a cost of $17.50 and $12.50 respectively (about £12/£8) represented very poor value. If you take a car then self parking is $9 (about £6) per night. Access to the car park is made using your room key. Overall this is a comfortable hotel with a beautiful outlook and great sunsets and represents good value by Maui standards. Les mer
