This hotel does not have a 24 hour desk. If something happens to your flight or you are delayed, you may end up searching for another option. Also no shampoo is provided, just a bar of soap. Otherwise its ok.

I needed the room for a couple of nights. The shower was not very good. the pressure was weak. The room had been well used and showed it in the bathroom more than every where else. The bathroom sink was not very clean. There was no room in the bathroom for a person to spread out and get ready for the day. I would not stay again.

Older hotel, seems to used as a extended stat hotel for work crews. Clean and okay for a night but not one that Id want to bring my family to. Some of the rooms seemed to have permenant residents.

The bed was rock hard and the air conditioner turn off and back on every 4 - 5 minutes. It kept us awake all night. There was a coffee pot but no complimentary coffee. And there is no pool. Other than that the room was great.

The pictures of the rooms are very deceiving. Our alleged "No Smoking" room must have been very recently converted from a smoking room. It smelled of smoke. The kitchen contained no pots and pans for cooking.

Although it was not a very *nice* hotel, both of my dogs were allowed to stay with us which saved me a LOT of money on boarding fees, not to mention the heartbreak of having to leave my "babies" in someone else's care :). The staff was very friendly as well, and it is close to fast food and a few essential stores.

I booked the hotel for almost a week, I never get cleaned the room, because they say they clean the rooms once a week and unfortunately, I didn't stay until that day....?!. The first night I stayed there I was searching for a clean room because the one assigned was noisy and smell to smoke. It seems like most of the people staying there smoke a lot. […] The guy at the front desk me was nice and helpful. Finally the one I got was ok but I little bit smoky. Everything was fine with our accomidations, with the exception to the cleanliness of our room. The shower was rather dingy as if it were only being wiped down with windex one too many times, instead of getting a good cleaning. There was hair on the bathroom floor as well. The dishes and utensils provided in the kitchen were dirty, even though they were […] in the cubbard/drawer. A dead bug was found in one of the beds when trying to crawl in to sleep. Since this is an extended stay hotel, I would think that once an occupant has checked out, the room would get a good cleaning. Instead, it seems our room got new sheets (hopefully), trash liners, and a toilet flush....I guess next time I will shell out the extra $20 per night at a nicer place, instead of fearing that I've brought bedbugs home with me. There was only one bed for 3 people. The headboard came off the wall. The bed was very hard and kept slipping off the frame. The front office person was very nice. The room was clean but could use some paint. Would have been fine for one person or couple.

There was a cockroach in our room. They said they come in from outside. The staff was great just the roach incident soured my whole experience. They did offer to change our room. We did move.

Do you like roaches? Well, me either. My stay was a total of 4 nights and almost everyday roaches were seen. It was also weird that the other guest at the hotel- LIVE at the hotel. I felt like they were always watching when I was going and coming. Also room service or clean towels are not provided daily.. unless you want to pay extra.

Although we only stayeed one night, we got an extended stay to be able to have the conveniences of home. There was no icemaker in the freezer and we never found the ice machine. We had to go to the front desk to "check out" the pots, pans and cookware to be able to cook our breakfast. Then when we went to use the stove it did not work. The room was […] clean but shabby. I've stayed at this hotel several times over the past few years. The comfort and cleanliness of this hotel has continually gone down. There has not been enough upkeep over the years. If you know anything about Plano, TX you know that it's NOT a poor area... so to have to stay in a room w/ paper thin walls was a real surprise and a big disappointment. Unless the AC was on, I heard every last word spoken by the people above me, and I got to listen to them carry on until 2:30 in the morning. The perk of having a kitchenette in my room […] was instantly diminished by this rather poor construction. So instead of the new roof they were having put on at the time, they should have spend that money on at least SOME insulation when the building was constructed. This hotel was just OK. They are set up for extended stays. They do not maid service every day. The TV is really small, our remote didn't work. OK for a place to rest your head.

I don't need frills. If it was safer, a touch more comfortable and had a shower, I'd sleep in my car. But when traveling for business, people expect you to be showered and wearing different clothes when they see you the next day. The Sun Suites in Plano is perfect for me. Free WiFi, shower, coffee pot, bed, and protection from the elements. No frills […] like flat screen TVs, business lounges, or mints on the pillows. Available space when needing to be alone to gather one's thoughts. Amenities were basic but clean - more than one hand towel available for guests would improve the situation. The kitchen/dining area, with coffee maker made the stay a bit like home. Ample hot water and dishes/cutlery for two. Microwave in lieu of cooking utensils. It was nice, spacious, mostly clean. Cockroaches in the sink and around the toilet but NOTHING else was wrong. Nice hot water, clean fridge and toilets. Clean (as far as we could tell) sheets. Triple locking door.

I would recommend this hotel to the budget seeking traveler. Nothing fancy, but clean and very efficient. Great location near freeway, restaurants, and entertainment. Bedding is somewhat less than desirable, I would recommend you bring your favorite blanket from home. Other than that, we were pretty pleased.

Staff courteous and helpful. Handicap room needs improvement to accommodate handicap peron in the shower. NO bench for shower and the tile floor much to slick. Otherwise, a good rating.

horrid, air conditioner would not work in the first assigned room...second room worked, but I had to leave for 2 hours for it to cool. I was on the second floor and the air had not been on all day....clients were very poor and conditions in the room were awful....one bar of soap...no hair dryer....basicly nothing...never again

It is good enough for road warriers as it provides clean room, shower, and wireless internet. And, the price is reasonable for its' class of service.

The cleanliness of the room was extremely poor. When we walked around the room with socked feet the bottoms would become brown from the floor. It was not an issue of picking a "cheep" hotel and we need to live with it. I reserve one room for three adult men, as I usually do for business trips. However, even though all they used the room for was to sleep and shower, they were miserable. When I called the first morning to ask about cots, coaches, etc for a third person they didn't have them available. The Sun Suites in Plano was extremely clean. The staff very friendly and helpful. The location was very convenient to everything we could have wanted or needed. HOWEVER...the beds are absolutely HORRIBLE. The mattress is wrapped in plastic and loudly crinkles constantly as you're attempting sleep. The support(?) is VERY firm & VERY thin. Both mine & […] my wife's back were hurting so bad after the first night that I seriously considered purchasing an air mattress at the conveniently located Target, Wal-Mart, Costco, etc... Also, you may wish to pack a towel. We checked in on Friday afternoon, showered, and attended a conference. Sat morning we showered and left for the conference. You get the idea, 98 degrees in Dallas Texas in June & the towels are not changed the entire stay. "Available for trade at desk for NOMINAL fee". I didn't inquire because I believe I paid for towel usage in my rental price. Les mer

Put on thrid floor. Room a/c didn't seem to work. Got anther room on third floor. A/c starting cooling room about 4 hours later. Very uncomfittable.

The walls were paper thin, could hear voices in the other rooms. If you are staying there for one week, there is no housekeeping service. They only re-stock your towels. Overall, everything else was great, there is a fridge, sink, utensils, and plates in each room.
