"Nice hotel"
The only drawback was our room was too hot. Mentioned it to the desk and they got maintenance to look at it but still seemed too hot, though they had left a message on our phone to say we could get a fan if still uncomfortable but I didn't notice the message. But if travelling to this part of the world again I would just drive straight through to Banff […] or Lake Louise and stay there. Les mer

found it a decent place to stay. had a room with a loft and the bed was quite comfortable, the kitchenette was great because it allowed personal options rather than eating out, and the fireplace was great for a nice romantic night in front of the fire. the room was really clean when we arrived and was well cleaned while we were there. the only frustration […] was the parking, which was not plentiful compared to the number of guest vehicles, but it was also the Easter long weekend. overall we had a really good stay. Went in mid march with my wife and 3 year old son. It was quiet and very relaxing. The breakfast is full of fruits, eggs,sausage, bacon. A great breakfast before hitting marmot. The swimming pool and hot tub apeared well maintained. Highly recommend the deli in town.

"Nice Hotel (Motel?)"
The exterior is a little run down but our room was nice and large. Very nice renovations in the washroom. I found it strange that all 4 pillows on the bed were different but this is a minor detail. To get to downtown Jasper you will need to drive but its a short drive as the city isn't too large. I would recommend this hotel.

"BW Jasper Suites Hotel, Jasper, Alberta, Canada"
My husband and I occupied one suite and my 90-year old mother occupied a second suite. It was great to have the two suites side by side and accessible - motel-style - with no stairs. The suites were both roomy, clean and comfortable. I appreciated that all lights were functioning and the shower was great. I kept thinking that the suite would show so […] much better, had the colours selected been more updated. Brown and beige do not a vibrant room make! We all wished the beds had been a little more firm, though mattresses in all cases were newish. Buffet breakfast offered variety and quality foods and the breakfast room was sunny and inviting. Service was excellent by Edith in the restaurant. Thank you, Best Western and Hotel.com who also confirmed our reservations and sent reminders - a nice touch. Cheers to you all. Les mer

I understood it was closer to downtown than it was. It was quite a way to walk for my 83 year old mother. Other than that it was all great.

This location is quite old and outdated, but clean and comfortable with beautiful property. Jasper is lovely overall...

We only stayed overnight and it was fine. Rooms are in a courtyard with own door and it was clean and confortable. We did not have breakfast or dinner on night of arrivial we eat in the town on both occasions.

"Too expensive for the condition"
I was very disappointed in this lodging. They claimed to be non-smoking, yet I would smell smoke. I'm not sure if there were designated rooms that were reserved for smoking and if so they seemed to be throughout and not in a certain area away from the non-smoking rooms. Way too expensive.

Sleep in the car!! For a national chain hotel, this place was awfiul. It was old, run down and horrible. It advertised a view of the mountains....not! Their idea of air-conditioning was a big box fan that we stuck in front of the window. Jasper is a beautiful location near many outdoor activities and breathtaking scenery. This Best Western needs a little updating and a lot more light! We were on the lowest level which I called the "dungeon". Poor lighting. Poor air flow. I did not expect AC but you were below ground level and I did not feel safe or comfortable opening the window for […] fresh air. The provided fan was somewhat helpful. The halls were also dingy and dark and need more lighting. Great little kitchenette. Convenient. I would stay again if I didn't have to stay on that lower level. Les mer

Unit we stayed in: Suite w/kitchenette/ seperate bedroom w/queen /wood buring fireplace/loft area w/3 single beds/balcony.....Overall, this property was satisfactory........we stayed in a suite that had a seperate bedroom with a queen bed in it.....that room was very small......then the staircase up to the loft area was very narrow and steep....hard […] to navigate, especially at the bottom because it runs into the entrance/exit door...the loft area itself was ok....the 3 single beds were comfortable....no ac, but a large fan was provided and the upstairs window did open wide, so there was good airflow throughout the loft area.....nice flat screen tv in loft as well...no bathroom in loft though, considereing this unit could potentially accomodate 6 people, and there was enough room up there to put a toilet and sink....kitchen area was very nice....fridge, microwave,sink, coffee maker...nice countertop....overall great! Bathroom is small...actually quite tight....living area is nice with tv, wood burning fireplace couch and chair....no kitchen table though...and no firewood.....not even sure where it was to go fetch it.....this particular room had a balcony with 2 chairs.....didn't use it, because the balcony itself was dark and dingy...the solid railing walls were too high...when you sat down in the chairs, you could't see anything! As a result was "dark and dingy", instead of open and bright.....didn't use the pool area, but walked by it and it looked good....also had an indoor hottub as well, and that also looked good...overall, this is my honest opinion......I booked this property because I couldn't get a room at the one we usually stay at....and this particular room configuration because even though there were only 2 of us, its nice to have the extra room.... and when I booked, the difference in price between this room and a reg plain room with 2 beds was prettty much the same.....I doubt if I would stay here again.....like I said, the kitchen was great, and the bed Les mer
"Jasper Best Western"
The Jasper Best Western Inn has seen better days, it is dated, old, not in the best condition. The room has a small section with a queen size bed in it with little room left for anything else. The good part, it had a glass sliding door off the living area that opened to let some cool air in as there is no air conditioning. Luckily, it was nice and cool […] while we stayed there. There is a restaurant across from the rooms to have your meals at, that was very good for a buffet breakfast. Dinner selections looked good, but we did eat elsewhere as we were going around the downtown. All, in all, if you are looking for a reasonable place, I guess this is your place, but if you are looking for modern amenities, look elsewhere. Les mer

We were in a loft room. This was very attractive, but quite hot. Neither of us were tall enough to reach the window catch to open it. The crockery in the kitchen was in the highest wall cupboard which meant that I had to stand on a chair to get the plates etc out! No elevator so it meant lugging the baggage up stairs. We were pleased with our choice of this hotel. Initial room allocation was rather dark but we were upgraded to a loft apartment with no trouble. Excellent facilities with a full kitchen and a location away from the crowds near the edge of town. Ample parking and an easy walk to shops etc

We booked this hotel because we all wanted to share the same room. There is a newer section to this hotel so ask for it. We did not know this and although we did enjoy our stay we would have liked the newer area. We drove to the shopping but parking was fine and we loved our stay. We found this hotel to be wildly overpriced for what it was - a very old fashioned motel without breakfast. We stayed in a far nicer hotel in Banff with breakfast included for half the price. Being on the ground floor meant we had no balcony and no view and the entrance was from a yard/carpark which reminded us of a tenement. This hotel can and does get "all" the money for it's rooms however other than it's somewhat remote location, I was satisfied with my stay there. It is about 1x more expensive than comparable properties however there must be a large surcharge being located in a National Park

We booked a loft suite expecting a comfortable and relaxed stay. I was completely disappointed. The dismal room lighting was depressing, doesn't anyone try to read in these rooms? The internet was worse than patchy. They did say that there was a problem with Apples, but I was using a PC. When the internet wouldn't work I rang reception, who told me […] to ring support - reading their telephone number in a dimly lit room was difficult enough. After a lengthy discussion with support they diagnosed that the hotel's server was down, and they would ring them to bring it back on line. Three times I went through this process, and I have to ask why the hotel couldn't ring support instead of me. If offering a service, a business should have the staff trained to at least a basic level to support that service. It should not be up to guests to chase up their problems. On a bright note, their restaurant was great, and a three course meal for $24.95 great value. Les mer
Room was rather dark and stale smelling. If you want to eat, go to town, to the Greek Restaurant called "Something Else". The restaurant food on site is very poor and expensive.

Great pool, saunas and steam room! Disappointed that there was no exercise room as it rained quite a bit while we were there and you could not be out hiking, walking, biking etc. Good size continental breakfast but missed the waffles that we have come to expect at most Best Westerns. There was an extended breakfast for a fee which had the hot food, […] such as eggs, bacon, sausages, pancakes etc. Staff was very friendly and it was nice to have a full restaurant. With the exception of problematic internet reception our multi-day stay was pleasant. The location of the hotel off of the main traffic routes but within easy walking distance of "downtown Jasper" was a definite plus.

"VISIT OUT OF SEASON"
This hotel was one of many we stayed in during a brilliant visit to Canada. We were celebrating our Ruby Wedding Anniversary. It was the worst of the hotels we had chosen. Only average. We were very upset to have approx $40 added to the final bill, quite a surprise for add on taxes etc. We appreciate tax is added for tourists, however, for 3 nights […] we feel this was far too much. One final point, on arrival the whole of Jasper was blacked out with power failure. This apparently is fairly common. We had to chase after torches from the reception as they were not forth coming. "Just perfect"
Having travelled throughout Canada previoulsy and having this time spent three weeks touring BC and Alberta, I have hgot to say that my wife and I found this to be the perfect hotel. Great staff, fantastic room and all in a peaceful location where the food provided at the "Inn" was firct class by any standard.
