Men hvis du ikke er kresen, og planlegger å bare sove og stelle seg er det et perfekt hotell. Servicen er veldig bra. De hjelper deg med det meste, og svarer på alle spørsmål. Beliggenheten på hotellet er helt perfekt. Det ligger i gå avstand til alt. Hvis det blir for langt å gå er det bare å strekke ut armen rett på utsiden av hotellet, så kommer det en taxi med en gang, eller du kan ta metroen som ligger 2 minutter unna. Jeg var veldig fornøyd.

Hotel was well positioned for the tourist. The subway was 50 yards away which made it very easy to get around the city. The hotel was clean and very comfortable and the staff really helpful. We had a great stay and they upgraded our room. Perfect location to Empire state building and Macy's on Broadway and only a few minutes walk to times square. The hotel is very clean. staff very helpful. Breakfast great lots of choice in bagels,bread,pasteries,fruit,yog,cereals,cheese,jams,porriage,tea coffee, fruit juices, In great location lots of bars and resturants. Resturant in hotel nice but pricey as is the bar 2 dollars more than in bars outside hotel. Coffee lounge in hotel very good. Good to go […] for coffee after shopping. Overall, the hotel was nice, in al old world type of way. The lobby is gorgeous and the rooms are nicely decorated. It is a bit dated and the rooms are small, but the amenities made it nice. It's hard to find a decent cont. breakfast in NYC hotels. This one had better than average bagels and a good assortment of yogurt. I like the old fashioned charm […] of the stairs. I've stayed at the Hamton Inn and Hilton - both next door- and they do not offer a breakfast or a rooftop deck or restuarant/bar, but have larger & newer rooms. "Very disappointing and drab"
Room was cramped, tatty, drab and dark - in spite of blinds being open or shut. Outlook into a cramped, grimy back service court was gloomy - Dickensian. Hotel was worn and badly in need of a refurbishment - rattling lift, chipped bath, smell of mould from shower curtain. Furniture well designed but scratched and not maintained. Overall I found staying […] at the Metro quite depressing. Desk staff were sometimes rude, others were charming - lack of consistency here. Metro Grill staff were very pleasant but the food was unhealthy, greasy and all tasted the same. Breakfast in the hotel was very basic, stingy quantities (eg orange juice) and poor presentation. Given the relatively high daily rate for a room, I found it definitely NOT value for money, even given the particular time of the year where there was high demand. We thought that it was one of the best hotels we have stayed in NYC. It was so quiet, the bed was so comfortable, we had a terrific night's sleep which is not usually the case in the city. "Spacious room for four..."
Had trouble finding an available hotel that had two beds for the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving. Also wanted to be close to the subway and Penn Station. This hotel fit the bill and considering the location and date, more affordably than many. Left early in the morning (to get our spot on the parade route) so didn't try the breakfast. The sleeping […] room was larger than many I have had in NYC, the bathroom fixtures appeared to be new and the shower was great. The windows actually opened which we discovered when trying to lower the room temperature quickly - and not noisy as result. Room had refrigerator, closet and arm chair. Staff were very friendly. Perfectly located near herald square, times square, Bryant park etc. The room was small but well appointed. (This is NYC...the rooms are always small.) Excellent location to be able to easily access all of New York. Breakfast was good and no issues with using paper plates and plastic cutlery all better quality than they sound. Staff all extremely helpful. We had room 501, which came with the noise of the AC units from neighbouring building didn't complain as there isn't much that they can do about […] this. "Great value and high quality! How can you beat it?"
Very competitive price for midtown Manhatten. Large room as were all the 3rd floor rooms, judging from the floor diagram and fire escape map on back of door. Front door, lobby, elevators, hallways and rooms all appear to have been upgraded or re-decorated relatively recently. Bathroom very nice and plenty of hot water and a good shower, not always the […] case in any level of hotel. Example of nice touch was two big umbrellas in the closet with Hotel Metro on them. We were in and out for a one-night wedding trip so didn't have a chance to test out long-term stay. But the desk staff and concierge were polite, friendly, and helpful. "Hotel Metro is a must"
Love the hotel very much very comfortable clean and cosy. The free breakfast was very good a nice touch and the roof terrace was great location was great nice to get away from time square for a change .The dinners in the hotel were lovely we would definitely go back to this hotel thank you hotel metro .Verifisert Expedia-gjesteanmeldelse

"Pleasantly suprised after sight unseen booking"
The hotel represented great value and a big plus was that it was only half a block from the subway. Enjoyed the bagels for breakfast and the open air rooftop, which had a great view of the Empire State building. The room was also very clean and quiet at night. "Great choice near Empire State Building"

"Nice hotel, very centrally located"
I stayed at the Hotel Metro while on a business trip. The room was quite small, but very clean and the hotel was in good shape. The WiFi worked OK (and was free :-), and the continental breakfast was nice - I really liked the breakfast room. The staff was pleasant and helpful. "very overrated."
Room was a closet, air conditioning didn't work, couldn't walk around the bed without hitting your shins on other furniture. I booked because of all the good reviews, but I was in room 901 which I very much do not recommend. I won't be going back.Verifisert Expedia-gjesteanmeldelse

"Nice place for small people"
This is a really nice hotel, nice staff, good location. Only thing is, the rooms are small. Can't open the bathroom door because the bed is in the way kind of small. Bathroom you could touch both walls simultaneously. Having said that, the bed is comfortable, the location was really convenient, and it's very clean. The breakfast was really good too […] . "hotel gem near Empire state building"
In the shadow of the Empire State Building this hotel was really wonderful. The roof top terrace for drinks and the view of the open sky and the ESB was a superb way to start a weekend before going out for dinner. The staff of the hotel was very helpful and friendly. The continental breakfast was very nice: great bagels, pastries yogurts. The hotel […] has character and is near Times Square, shopping. I will be back. The room was small but it is what you would expect at a non-chain boutique hotel however the ambiance more than makes up for the quintness of the room.
