Closest for US visa. View from room was horrible.Last year, they gave us a room which was in a bad condition with a horrible view. "Good Concept for a hotel but some parts look tired"
It is supposed to be a 5 star hotel but the condition of the toilet (the taps, the sink and the toilet bowl) are not excellent. Further, while staying in Room 5023, there were renovation works from 9am int he morning which absolutely drove me up the wall. I know the hotel must renovate. But I also know that it is a 5 star - so it is up to the owners […] to figure out how to conduct their renovations. They could have not allocated that room since it would have been unbearable for guests to stay in Room 5023 while drilling and hacking was ongoing. Les mer
"Taxes and surcharges"
The taxes and surcharges on this hotel were enormous - 50% higher than the quoted rate. The first room had a leak from the ceiling and the staff moved us quickly to a very nice room. Remodeling occurred in the hotel, so from 9-6 daily, there was a LOT of hammering, pounding. The spa is lovely. The Sunday buffet was spectacular but so was the price tag. "One of the better options for Chennai"
We found our stay to be adequate with the caveat that we felt Chennai (a larger city with an international airport and larger international business presence) to be a bit much less developed and with very limited choices in terms of hotels and restaurants than one would expect. We were told this hotel was one of approx. 4 top choices in Chennai. The […] staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was very nice with a lot of western and indian choices. The rooftop pool area was calm and relaxing. The hotel lobby and restaurant were clean and decorated in a modern fashion. Our room was clean and cool with working air conditioner. The downside to this hotel for us was the bathroom in our room was reasonably clean but a bit worn out and dingy - peeling and moldy paint on the ceiling and walls, gray caulk in the tub, grimey light switch plates, and slightly musty / moldy scent in the air. I expected a more updated bathroom for being a top hotel in a larger city and for the "US" price I paid for my room. Les mer
"Hotel room corridors and rooms had a bad odor"
Had to go to USA consulate. Hence perfect location. Good friendly service at check in and check out. Extemely BAD rooms. - They smell - Aircondionting has got this tremendous moist odour smell and very uncomfortable in the nights. Be careful if any one has asthma issues. Both of us fell sick and woke up with a bad throat and subsequently a cold. Bathroom […] had three lights installed out of which one was working. Fresh towels had this wet feel. Felt very dirty after having a clean shower. Thai food was very good. Room service and Housekeeping staff had abs no friendliness. Infact all of them were like - why are you here and giving us work kind of an attitude. Very very disapointed with PARK-Chennai. Was very good in the begining. Had been staying here from the past 10 years. Never ever had such a bad experience. Until management takes proper corrective steps would strongly recommend HOTELS.com not to represent such a Hotel. "The Park @Anna Salai - Chennai"
My wife and I were in Chennai for a day on business and we were looking for a hotel on Anna Salai which happens to be the downtown like area at Chennai. We booked Park based on reviews on the website and the fact that the price was at par with the Taj etc, we hoped that things would work out fine. We got to the hotel in the evening. As we entered the […] lobby, we could barely hear anything in the lobby. Loud music was blaring in the background. The front desk itself was understaffed and the one person present was busy on a phone call for a while. We were then given a shabby room with two twin beds when we requested a queen bed. We had to then head back down to the lobby as nobody seemed to care to address the issue through a phone call. We then waited another 20 minutes to finally get a room. The room was far from what was promised on the website. We had a small tv set. The bath had three lights, of which only one worked. There was mold on the walls of the bathroom. Pretty nasty for the the price we were paying. Would never recommend this place to anyone. Only positive was the fact that this was close to where we wanted to be. Les mer

Very friendly staff and a nice roof-top pool. The Thai restaurant was also great. Stayed at "The residence" (6th-7th floor) - but those rooms didn't feel particularly special. Would definitely stay at the hotel again.

we spent 3 days/2 nights at this hotel. everything was smooth and according to plan, no surprises. very friendly staff at the front desk, room service etc. The hotel is very modern and all the amenities, room, furnishings etc are clean and contemporary. I think it's quite suitable for westerners who are used to this rather than a traditional Indian […] luxury. We got a decent deal via hotels.com. Be ware however, everything else that you need while there (food, minibar, snack bar, internet etc) are very steeply priced. i suppose this is to be expected from any 4-star hotel. if you want to keep daily costs in control you are far better off exploring the surroundings for these services. There is a internet browsing cafe at Parsons' complex, a short walk away who charges 1/8 of what the hotel does. Hotel is in excellent location within walking distance of most everything. overall a good, comfortable experience and one i would recommend to others looking for a 4-star stay in Chennai. Les mer
The screen all the bags including your carry-on, but don't make attempt to promptly return it to you. When you go through this, how can you check in when you can't get your hand bag that has your passport? Hotel lobby and room can be more cleaner. The hotel is young, modern, rooms in very well kept, and people are very kind. I enjoy my stay their team and customer service made a difference. Fair to say is very good!

インド滞在の初日に利用しました。 夫婦での一泊滞在でした。食事は非常に種類も多く味も良かったです。しかし、タクシーを一日レンタル9時半より5時までレンタルしたのですが、距離数と時間での計算で、明細は出ず、その後のインドの滞在の他のホテルでのタクシーの利用料に比べ、倍以上の請求でした。 朝の清算時に空港の時間が迫り、それ以上のやり取りも できずにそのまま支払いましたが、10泊の旅行中での一番悪い思い出になりました。 残念です!
"値段相応"
10時ごろに到着したのですが、すぐにチェックイン出来ました。スパを利用するとレイトチェックアウトの追加料金がサービスになりました。 スパはフェイシャルがいまいちでした。泊まっていた部屋は静かだったのですが、スパの個室が大通りに近い為、外のクラクションが聞こえリラックスできませんでした。
