Stayed here after seeing a show at Royal Centre, picked it because of its location which is 3 mins walk away. Probably a nice hotel in its day but a little run down now, cupboard doors almost falling off when you open them, that sort of thing. Also attention to detail could be better, I asked for an iron and ironing board which they delivered promptly, […] however the ironing board cover was a disgrace, dirty and thread bare! The smoke alarm was deliberately set off intermitently more than 10 times in different wings of the hotel in one night as I later understand by some miscrants. Chaps in the room next door to us were having loud chats and noisy throughout the night. Fantastic value for money hotel! Would have paid the price just to use the shower! Most comfortable large kingsize bed. Friendly helpful staff. Classic decor. Will be back again hopefully in a month or so!

I went for a weekend break with the my partner and we both agree that for a city centre hotel the decor is dated but in relativley good condition and clean. The room itself was clean and welcoming. The hotel is directly behind 'Rock City'. Thinking that we would be kept up all night by heavy rock music, I was pleasantly surprissed how quiet it was. […] If I can give one negative. Great Hotel, very friendly staff, can't go wrong with this place. Being really picky the hotels a bit boxed in by other buildings but apart from that, great.

Ive been staying here for a number of years, and have always found the rooms very quiet (even with Rock City next door). Bed was very comfortable, and room was clean. Nice flat screen tv and tea tray. There is a public car park next door for £14 - it does shut between 2am - 6am. This hotel is great for the price. I just stayed there for a bed since I was attending a Christmas party and would be out and gone early the next day. this will be the 2nd time we have stayed in the wellbeck and it wont be the last, no noise & no problems at all, the staff are very friendly & the rooms very comfortable with all the amenities that you need.

The hotel was in a brilliant location only 2 minutes away from city centre but not noisy at all. The room was very comfortable with king sized bed. The only things we didn't like was the amount of dust on the furniture and in the corners of the carpet, also the taps had a lot of limescale around them.......we thought the breakfast was over priced, so […] we checked out early and went elsewhere for breakfast. Great location to walk into the City within minutes. Clean rooms with air-con but rather hot everywhere else. Car parking is next door but rather expensive at £14 per day. The hotel stated they gave discount but this didn't materilise

The Welbeck hotel is perfectly located closed to the city center and about 20min by walk form the train station. We only stay there for one night on a Saturday night. The room was clean and the staff very polite. I would definitely recommend this hotel as it is a very good value for money.

The hotel is starting to look tired. Furnishings are in need of repair and updating. Croissants at breakfast were stale. Staff seemed a bit lack lustre.

We were very impressed with this hotel, just a few minutes walk to shops and bars but far enough away to be undisturbed by city noise. All the staff were friendly, polite and helpful. The room was spotless, comfortable and decorated to a very high standard. The bathroom was equally as clean and the shower was powerful with plenty of hot water. Good location close to centre, although Rock City next door quite loud late on for some rooms. Friendly staff in reception and in the restaurant. Restaurant/bar area is nice, although very quiet. I was nervous about booking a hotel right next to the Rock City venue during a festival weekend b/c I was worried it'd be filled with drunks but surprisingly, it was quiet! Got a really good deal on this hotel and was worried that we'd end up in the boiler room!! However, the hotel was fantastic, room was wonderful and the bed was massive and very comfy. The staff were lovely and I just can't fault it at all. I was so pleased.

Upon arrival, was greeted by a friendly member of staff at reception and was quickly checked in. Old fashioned metal key with large keyring rather than an electronic key, but not a disaster. My wife and I were very surprised and happy to find such a good hotel at a reasonable price in the centre of Nottingham - very convenient for the theatre and shops. We had a very well appointed room on the 5th floor with comfortable beds and a super TV. Food both at breakfast and dinner good. Staff at reception and in the restaurant very helpful. This hotel is looking tired & worn. The cleanliness of our room was very poor & we were moved to a slightly better room, although tiles in the bathroom were cracked, shortage of flannels on the second day, duvet cover was on inside out & the whole room needed a refit.

Room a bit small. Duvets too heavy for Summer. Corridors full of cigarette smoke. Hen parties rather noisy on Saturday night. Having said that would use the hotel if the price was right in the future. Perhaps breakfast could be included or more reasonably priced.

Solid city three star hotel, room was well equipped, clean enough, bed large, bathroom good, all generally about right for the hotel's category. A little wear and tear around the edges made me score the room part of the stay at 8/10. Rest of hotel. Same. Good quality but nothing thrilling. Very anonymous place, few staff visible. I had booked this as a last minute stay as we had a wedding in Nottingham. I wanted somewhere in the centre of town so we could have a choice of places to go for dinner. The hotel was a plesant surprise and best thing a key and not one of those cards. We had a lovely welcome and efficient check-in process and found the staff friendly throughout our stay. The hotel is nice but could do with some modernisation. The room doors do not lock automatically, so you have to make sure you lock up when you go in or out. The Welbeck asks you not to take the key outside with you but to leave it at reception. […]  Therefore, you have to ask for it when you return, which is a hassle and can lead to delays (although we were not kept waiting). I would be much happier with plastic key cards. They avoid all these problems and improve security. However, the rooms are well equipped, the bed was big and very comfortable and the temperature of the room could be easily adjusted. In addition, both the bedroom and bathroom were of decent sizes and there was plenty of wardrobe/drawer/cupboard space. We felt fully able to relax and we were impressed by the vast array of television channels. They provide a shower mat but this was discoloured and seemed unnecessary as the bath had a non-slip surface at the shower end anyway. I think the bathroom could have been maintained better but the bedroom was good. Talbot Street is not the nicest of streets but it is actually a good location, within easy reach of everything you could want in the city, including the tram link to the railway station. We certainly enjoyed our stay and we would go back, especially as the staff were so nice. Les mer

Good: Central location one block behind Crowne Plaza, Secure car park next door, On a side street, Good double glazing and a/c meant a quiet night, Good power shower, Good quality mattress and pillows. Twin room with two single beds meant there was room to move around (Crowne Plaza rooms small by comparison). Bad: Car park discount not given; reception […] reprogrammed parking ticket but discount not recognised my machine. Hotel and car park then both apparently unable to do anything about it. Hotel said £5 would be discounted from overnight 10-24h fee (£14). Car park said only discount was on fee from 5pm to 9am! Result: paid more than expected for parking, and more than at Crowne Plaza next door (£12.50) Les mer

Hotel was without fault, it was brilliant, perfect place for concerts and shops and pubs. Only slight issue would be the parking, it's quite costly at the car park over the road, so be warned, but brill apart from that.

The staff were very friendly, food was excellent, the room well that was very cosy, every thing you needed, i read some of the other reviews people left and thought " are we doing the right thing booking this hotel" but i cant see why people complained about it, its the best hotel i have stayed at in Nottingham and will definately be using it again, […] its very central to the town and the clubs and pubs, overall excellent rating from me :-) Les mer

Tucked away but in the centre of Nottingham, Great value for money and a very good standard, bed huge and comfortable. Car park next to hotel, cost me £12 to park for nearly 24 hours but car was safe. Would use hotel again

For the price I paid, this hotel was great. Perfect location - just minutes away from the city center and all the attractions. I checked in about 3 hours early and they were happy to accommodate me; unfortunately the non smoking room I requested was not available. Still, the hotel was great. My only complaint was that the Wifi didn't work and as a former […] IT support staff, the "it doesn't work with Mac computers" response from the hotel staff was beyond ridiculous. Por el precio que tiene, no está mal. Las habitaciones son amplias así como el cuarto de baño. Lo peor: las cortinas son demasiado traslucidas y a las 7 de la mañana hay mucha luz en la habitacion que no deja dormir. lo mejor: está en el centro.

Il personale è stato molto gentile e ci ha supportato in ogni necessità. Il rapporto qualità-prezzo è ottimo. L'hotel è vicino al centro e quindi anche molto comodo. Le camere sono ampie e pulite.

J'ai effectué 2 séjours de 2 nuits dans cet hôtel et à chaque fois mon séjour s'est très bien passé. L'hôtel est situé proche du centre ville et des transports en communs. Le rapport qualité/prix est très bon! Je recommande cet hôtel!
