Veldig billig og bra hotell - kan anbefales selv om det ikke ligger helt i sentrum. En flott frokostbuffè ventet på morgenen, og etter en solid frokost spaserte vi de 15-20 min. inn til Sentrum. En god og koselig tur morgen og kveld som vi satte pris på. Hotellet lå veldig nært jernbanestasjonen (ca. 8-10 min.). God skilting når du kommer med tog og […] veldig trivelig betjening. Dette er ett stort konferansehotell. Veldig fint, og kanskje litt stivt. Frokosten var den beste vi fikk i Italia, og de har også restaurant med lunsj og middagsmeny, men her var det ganske dyrt. Området rundt var rimelig trist og litt skummelt. Gåavstand til togstasjonen som var fint for oss som reiste rundt med tog til Venezia og Gardasjøen. Hotel part of a very reputable chain. Close to the train station and not far away from main Verona attraction, in case 5-6 euro in a taxi. Beautiful hall and bar area, good food in the restaurant but consider around 40-50 euro for a meal. Room are spacious and quite. Breakfast room is really big and different food is served. Leon D'oro was a great place to stay in Verona. Despite its distance to town, we have enjoyed the walks to and from the hotel. Hotel is 5 minute walking distance to the train station which worked out very conveniently for us. Staff were very friendly and accommodating in anyway they can. Breakfast buffet had verity of choices that make up of a typical […] Italian breakfast. Overall we enjoyed our time in this hotel and Verona all together. Would recommend this place to anybody. Nothing is more disheartening than to learn that you cant take a shower in your room because the shower is covered in BLACK MOLD!!! The hotel needs a complete makeover and needs to be cleaned and re-inspected!! Very disappointed.

Walked a lot so this hotel was not bad for us. Very nice place very clean.

The key to the door did not work. The SKY tv did not work. A significant leak in one of the taps in the bathroom. Charged €15 per day for car parking. Good location near the city.

Greatloction - easy walk from Verona train station and into the city. Views from the hotel arent great but then we weren't there to stay in the hotel much anyway!

The Leon d'Oro is a very nice hotel, but is not very convient to the downtown area of Verona. It can be walked during the day, but a taxi is mandatory in the evening. The breakfast buffett is very good.

Breakfast choice is miserable but otherwise an easy location for train station and with comfortable rooms.

Booked this for a lower price considering it is 4 star. This hotel was overall very good, with a touch of class in all areas. Only slight downers were that the tv was very old, wifi coverage was limited to 1st/2nd floor and this was a little further out from town, but this was v near the train station. Lovely hotel, a little bit old-fashioned but represented traditional italy. 5 minute walk from the bus/train station (if you've got a good map! - it's difficult to see the hotel from the station due to a bridge. 2 mins walk from Porta Nuova and you're in the centro (Piazza Bra/Arena) in 10 minutes max. Nice hotel with very nice & very helpful staff. Rooms were very nice & clean. It was about a 10-15 walk to the city center. Only negative was that the hotel was in a somewhat industrial area so the start of the walk wasn't the best (you had to walk through a long, but well lit tunnel to go under an over pass) Once you got past there it was a very nice […] walk. We were walking with our four adult children so I felt safe as a group of six - but would be a little uneasy at night if I had been just women or a couple - although the city seemed very safe. Very comfortable Hotel with good en-suite bathroom and breakfast. Hotel is wonderfully located 5 minute walk from Verona's railway station which is also the drop off point fro the airport bus. 15 to 20 minute very pleasant stroll into the town centre. There must be a difference in the rating systems between the US and Europe. The Leon d' Oro was an OK hotel but definiately not a 4 star hotel. The room was clean and it is a 10 min walk to the city, however there was mold on the shower/bath tub. They indicate that there is free wireless but it is only downstairs in the business room. And they are stingy […] with towels and soap. I had to ask for an extra bar of soap for the shower. My hotel stay was average. If you are expecting US 4 star quality you will be disappointed. This would be a 3 star or even a 2 star hotel in the US. Les mer

We arrived by train at the Stazione Porta Nuova and hotel was only 5 minutes away. We could walk easily to Piazza Bra and the centre of Verona - the hotel location was superb. The hotel was very comfortable and the staff very helpful - we would certainly recommend. We came for the opera in the arena and the hotel actually povided a courtesy bus before […] and after - an unlooked for service that was very welcome! Les mer

Easy srraight 15 minute walk to the heart of the old city. Located on the fringe of an industrial area. A very nice business type hotel, lovely rooms with plug in internet and desk for your computer. A great value for the quality of this hotel.

It took us a 10 min walk from the train station would have been quicker had we known to cross the 8 lane roadway prior to walking down the street to the hotel. Location was not that bad, a comfortable 15 min walk to the arena not great if you wanted to pop back to the hotel during the day but certainly worth the stay for the price and comfort of the […] hotel. The rooms are very nice with everything you would expect in a 4*. In the room we were deligthed to find a lovely book on the history and main sights of verona and surrounding areas. Les mer

Easy 15 min walk from Bus Station and 20 min stroll to Verona centre/Arena etc or circa Eu10 taxi ride. Opera "courtesy bus" provided by Hotel is not free Eu7 pp still cheaper than taxi as price is for return. Hotel room is of standard international quality nothing fancy but clean, quiet and air con excellent. Breakfast is in the basement is self service […] all you can eat hot and cold and very good. Very clean, very prompt service. There is a charge to park, and you must pay each time you come and go. Facility is nice and in close walking distance to the center of the city. Breakfast was nice. The showers are big enough, but not well lit and the shower heads need the calcium deposits removed so that water flows a bit better.

The hotel is located out side of the city center. It is 20 minutes walking distance to the arena. It is not possible to hail a cab because of the location of the hotel so the hotel must call a cab for you. However when they hotel calls a cab, the cab driver starts the meter 3 Euros more than what a local cab driver would charge because it was ordered. […] The breakfast was not good at all. Best hotel in terms of amenities (bath soaps, AC) from my two week Europe trip. Hotel is big and well-appointed, but no Wifi in the rooms (only Ethernet connection), and the cost of Wifi in the lobby is ridiculous (8 euros for an hour). You can get a pretty good deal on the room considering the quality, but depending on what you pay breakfast is not […] included. Worst aspect is crossing a nightmare of a roundabout (if you're driving, that is) or the 15 minute trek to the old city center (which is beautiful). Les mer

Great breakfast to set you up for a day site seeing Bus for Opera is a really handy particularly during storms!

Hotel room was a little outdated - bit of a throwback to the 1980's but in fairness it was clean. What was most peculiar about the room was that it was not possible to completely close the bathroom door as it was blocked by none other than the toilet. The hotel location was fairly spot on though- a leisurely ten minute stroll to the centre of Verona […] but in order to gain access, you had to travel under an underpass along a very busy road. It takes less than five minutes to walk to the train station from which Venice and Peschiera del Garda can be reached. Les mer

This hotel must have been very grand indeed 20 years ago! Close to the exhibition are it's still fine for a quick overnight stay, clean, huge bathroom and a substantial breakfast.

Scelgo sempre questo Hotel nei miei frequenti viaggi a Verona. Vicinissimo alla stazione e raggiungibile a piedi. La struttura è buona, il personale gentile, l'accoglienza cordiale. Fiquei por 4 ou 5 dias em Verona e optei por este hotel porque era 4 estrelas, nas fotos parecia bem conservado e acolhedor. Inicialmente, ao chegar no hotel e fazer o checkin fui informado que meu quarto não estava pronto, apesar do horário. Ainda assim efetuamos o checkin e deixamos as malas no hotel, rumo a parte histórica da cidade. Nisso já vimos […] que a localização do hotel era a pior possível, bem distante do centro histórico e sem nenhum comércio ao redor(apesar de ser atrás da estaçã ferroviária, mas antes deve-se atravessar uma rodovia bem movimentada, onde não há faixa para pedestres). Quando voltamos ao hotel no final da tarde outro incômodo, fazer novamente o checkin, já que não havia registro do checkin feito anteriormente. Perguntei sobre internet wifi e informaram que não havia nos quartos e sim somente no hall do hotel. Chegando no quarto não deu para esconder a decepção. O quarto era muito, mas muito velho, com aquele carpet todo desbotado, televisão minúscula ao lado da cama(ou seja, tinha de assistir tv de lado) e um banheiro que dava até medo de usar(ao redor da banheira havia aquele mofo preto, de coisa velha e que não é bem limpa). Posso dizer que foi o pior hotel que fiquei nesta viagem(embora o preço não seja barato). Chegamos e dormimos. No dia seguinte constatamos que a televisão não mudava de canal. Informamos a recepção que mandou alguém arrumar. Chegando lá verificou-se que não havia conserto e o atendente prontamente se dispôs a nos trocar de quarto. Fomos para outro quarto, um pouco melhor desta vez, o banheiro era menor mas era mais limpo, ainda assim com aquele mofo ao redor da banheira. Desta vez a tv era maior e na frente da cama. Ligamos a televisão e vimos que não havia som na mesma. Novamente ligamos na recepção e uma recepcionista muito mal educada disse que iria mandar alguém novamente ao quarto e que esperava que esta fosse a última vez que reclamássemos. Sinceramente eu também esperava isso mas não cabia a ela dizer isso a qu Les mer

Questo non é un Boscolo o forse é la vergogna del Boscolo. Era un bell'hotel 20-30 anni fa. Da allora non hanno speso un euro per la manutenzione. 1. Lampadina all'entrata nella camera non funzionava. 2. Ai comandi accanto al letto per accendere le luci mancavano dei pulsanti. 3. L'armadio in camera era senza un'anta e tutto graffiato. Piú facile toglierla […] che aggiustarla. 4. Sotto lo scrittoio ci sono accumulati decine di metri di cavi elettrici e di prolunghe alla rinfusa e non puoi mettere neanche le gambe sotto, perché rischi un colpo di corrente. 5. Il bagno con la muffa nera nella vasca e il water con l'acqua che scorreva rumorosamente giorno e notte ed era giallo dal calcare. 6. La colazione sarebbe a buffet se riempissero man mano che si consuma. Alle 9 non c'era piú il pane. 7. Il parcheggio é a pagamento e il minimo che mi aspetterei é avere la tariffa giornaliera e non per ore. Cioé entrare ed uscire dal parcheggio quando ne ho voglia senza dover ricominciare a pagare le prime ore piú care. Potrei continuare ad elencare pagine intere di difetti. Non andró mai piú in questo hotel, peraltro abbastanza costoso e non raggiunge neanche il livello di una stella, altro che 4 stelle superior. Finora hanno vissuto di gloria. Ci penseró piú volte prima di scegliere un hotel della catena Boscolo. Les mer

apreciamos o conforto e a localizacao do hotel... fica a 15 minutos de caminhada do centro de verona... o unico problema é que cobram o estacionamento a parte...

Es un hotel que tiene sus años y requiere que sea remodelado. Esta cerca del centro de Verona. Nos toco cenar en el hotel y al atención fue excelente. La comida 5 estrellas y la atencion del personal tambien.

Gunstig gelegen 20 minuten lopen naar centrum is goed te doen. Goed personeel . Zeer goed ontbijt enmooie kamers. Prijs kwaliteit is goed,maar de kosten voor parkeer garage vielen tegen voor een hotel dat ver uit het centrum ligt.

Huonosti toimiva ilmastointi ja hotellin ympäristö ei ole kovinkaan kaunis, sijainti on kuitenkin hyvä ja parkkipaikkoja autohallissa on runsaasti. Vanhaan kaupunkiin kävelee reilussa viidessä minuutissa.

Das Personal war g.t.sehr nett. Es ist nicht leicht zu finden, wenn man von der einen Seite kommt und genau so wenig, wenn man es Richtung Gardasee verlassen möchte. Das Hotellogo ist nicht beleuchtet und auch sonst sind einige Birnen ausgebrannt. Vier Sterne sind etwas zu hoch für den österreichischen/deutschen Anspruch. Für drei Tage war es eine nette […] überschauliche Behausung. Les mer
