Hotell med svært god beliggenhet, greit hotel men ble skuffet over første rom som ble tildelt, når vi byttet til nytt rom var alt OK.. Eller godt fornøyd.

Utmerket beliggenhet. Merk at drosjene ikke kan kjøre helt til døra pga gågater. Hyggelig lite hotell med lang historie, men med moderne standard.

Midt i smørøyet. Moderne men litt små rom med egenPC/Internett. Hjelpsomme ansatte.

Great location, within walking distance of most of the must sees. Nice hotel but by Irish standards more 2.5 star than 4 star. Nigly things like no tea or coffe making in room but available f.O.C. in reception. Unuasual onsuite, almost transparent walls and non locking door. We enjoyed our trip and would stay again.

The hotel was was totally satisfactory but only satisfactory.The rooms are small. A small however, was that it was not responsive to any requests. The computer corner had no light so you couldn't see the keyboard. No one came to fix the TV. But that didn't matter because we weren't there to watch TV anyway. We wanted to stay close to the Plaza Mayor, […] because as I had remembered it from 50 years ago, the Plaza was beautiful and regal. It has turned into a circus with tourist gift shops, and expensive but so so cafes. For the price, and if you want to be near the Plaza Mayor, it would be a good choice. Les mer

The hotel is in a great location close to everything and very easy to find. Reception is tiny and if there is a few people waiting to check in then it gets a bit crowded. The receptionist upon check in was very rude, we arrived early as asked if our room was ready and if not could we leave our bags and go off to Warner Park theme park. She told us "we […] have to wait" in a very dismissive tone to find out if the room was ready. after waiting 20 minutes we were able to check in and boy were we shocked by the state of the room....! for a triple room is was very small, cramped and badly proportioned, There were no Tea or coffee making facilities to be found and the mini bar was loosely stocked and outrageously priced The bathroom was clean but totally needing new tiling around the shower as it was showing a lot of wear and tear, the plug hole cap for the shower was not on the plug but smack bang broken in the center of the shower. The toilet seat was completely broken and actually fell off the toilet, there was nothing holding it on. After a maintenance call they still only placed it back on the seat not even attached. Loved the design of the sink even though the sink was blocked and took 30 minutes to drain...!! The shower was the body massage kind with little pressure with the 20 body sprays as well. If you like a comfy bed then this is not the place for you at all. The mattresses were like sleeping on the floor, completely hard with no give. and you only get a sheet on top but as Madrid is very hot even in September we didn't mind that. The Laptop provided worked as expected but be warned that if you charge a moblie phone though it and the laptop goes into sleep mode you phone will not charge. The tv was a bit strange, no English speaking channels and all but 3 of them German ! Breakfast was good and for €9 worth the extra, you got the full selection of hot and continental. We just left this hotel in Madrid. This is a great location right off Plaza Mayor. The front desk staff were very nice, but the room was very small and had a LOT of problems! Light bulbs out (never fixed after reporting), toilet seat broken and laying loose (fixed after reporting) and trim broken on the main writing table...it looks like this hotel […] needs a lot of loving maintenance attention. Very convenient location, walkable to Prado, Palace, metro stop, and dozens of restaurants of all price ranges.. We had no problems with street noise. Modern rooms in an historic building. Free internet with laptop in room. Front desk somewhat helpful, depending on who was behind the desk. We would return on a future visit to Madrid.

The Hotel is in a great location though in general not a quality place. There is a considerable amount of street noise and the A/C in my room(s) did not work so had to open the window for ventilation. The location is superb and if you dont care about sleeping on worn linen, dirty towels and getting a good nights sleep due to the excessive street noise, […] this is a great choice for you. Les mer

A great hotel, unbeatable location right next to Plaza Mayor, though it also means that there is very limited access for taxies/cars during the day. We had to walk from Sol with a lot of luggage. Very friendly and helpful staff, nice breakfast, usual fare. The twin bed room was tiny, too small for two people but luckily in Madrid you don't spend too […] long in your bedroom! The hotel is situated in a great location, within 1 minute of the Plaza Mayor and within walking distance to most major attractions (Palacio Real, Gran Via). The hotel rooms is small, but this is normal in Europe, I think. The room was clean. It's not the hotel's fault for being in the location, but it was noisy at night, with noise coming from the […] people outside. The bed was comfortable but lacked bedding. There were no blankets so I had to sleep with the heater on all night, waking up feeling very dehydrated. The description on the in-hotel book mentioned that the hotel offers English TV channels and English newspapers, but this is not the case. Bring a good book to read if you don't understand Spanish! The hotel staff was helpful and some spoke English well. The fridge in my room was broken and was fixed the following day. In the meantime, the hotel offered to store some perishable items I had in the hotel kitchen's fridge. Les mer

As with others in this small chain, a laptop is provided free of charge in each room. Location is excellent and the decor quirky. A good place to stay for exploring Madrid.

We were very happy will all but the breakfast, which was too limited. The location was perfect, the room was clean and well-maintained, and the reception staff were helpful and courteous. They also spoke good English. We would use this hotel again.

This hotel is a perfect location, beautiful rooms and the staff is friendly and professional. Definitely would recommend this hotel!!!

I'm not a fan of "High Tech." The amenities like the computer was too touch sensitive, the bathroom door sounded like a bullet going off each time it was opened or closed, and the the modern "square" style of the hotel did not impress me. BUT the location was fantastic, the people at the desk were exceptionally helpful and friendly, and the espresso […] machine downstairs in the breakfast room was AWESOME. A friend and I traveled to Madrid for three nights and stayed here. The hotel has a cozy, warm atmosphere and is very nicely decorated. I read from others that the rooms were small before going, but we both found the room to be a pleasant size with a large, nice bathroom. The sheets were soft and we found the beds to be quite comfortable. It was an […] easy walk there to everywhere we wanted to go, a great location! The only downside to our room was that it was by the elevator, and since we stayed up late and wanted to sleep in, the noise in the earlier hours of the morning didn't allow us to sleep well. I think the walls were a little thin in general...so my main recommendation would be to get a room not right next to the elevator if you're a light sleeper. Otherwise, a great place with a great rate, and I'd most likely stay there again. Les mer

Fabulous location with excellent, helpful staff and fully functional internet service -- via the computer in every room or your own laptop. When we encountered a minor problem (very noisy bathroom door), they promptly moved us.

Excellent location near south gate of Plaza Mayor; nice-sized bathroom and shower by European standards; and very quiet!

During a recent stay in Spain we actually stayed at Petit Palace Posada del Peine twice, once for 3 days and once for one day. The location is very good, just steps from Plaza Mayor and a block from Puerta del Sol and the Sol Metro station. The area is very pedestrian friendly with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The staff spoke English and did […] their jobs OK but they weren't especially friendly. The hotel is in an old building but the rooms are almost annoying modern. Bathrooms are big but the rooms are small. I asked for a quiet rooms and got them in the back. They were pretty quiet considering all the street action nearby. The rooms have dell laptops running Linux in them. It's a nice perk but the internet connection was not great. There was also wi-fi but I could never get my iPhone to connect to it--the server kept resetting the connection. I think they don't really have the bandwidth for what they are doing. Overall it's a good place to crash but no real charm. Les mer

Great location , in the heart of del SOL area , a bit noisy at night , as expected , Spanish people know how to have fun , they stay up late and eat very late too. One recommendation!!! , DO NOT RENT A CAR in Madrid! Hard to drive , narrow streets , hard to find parking. Great public transportation.

This hotel has a great location. It is in the historic section of Madrid and close to many of the attractions. The Sol Metro is about three blocks away. The rooms are small but typical of European hotels. Some of the rooms in this hotel are not accessible by wheelchair because of stairs and the elevators are small. The staff was helpful and we stayed […] in this hotel at the start and end of our trip to Spain. On the whole it was a pleasant hotel and I would stay there again. We booked a family room for our recent trip to Madrid for our family of 4. At check in, we were given (dah, dah, daaahhh)Room 408. We went upstairs and were shocked. We found a cramped room with sloped ceiling that was painted black with a series of asteroid swirl designs on it. We could stand up only in 1/3 of the room and had to stoop over to get […] around the bed. The only view was out of a tiny postage stamp window looking onto the roof tiles (and a beer bottle tucked in amongst them). We asked for a different room and were given a much better one (thank goodness), but one still with things in disrepair. With additional person charges, we would've done better booking two rooms. This hotel is well located for the art galleries on Paseo del Prado (approx 800m) and the many good tapas bars on Calle de la Cava Baja (approx 300m). Also close to Sol Metro station (100m) making it easy to get to the airport or the mainline station at Atocha. On arrival the service at Reception was a little slow, with two members of staff dealing […] with one person. Neither member of staff acknowledged us or advised that they would be dealing with us shortly. The room was comfortable but compact , you would not wish to stay more than a couple of nights for this reason. There was no bath but there was a (very effective) top of the range shower. The view from the window was onto a wall. However, I think this helped keep the room cool and we were out and about all day so this made little difference to us. Amazing shower and bathroom. New, clean, comfortable. Breakfast buffet was great food for a good value. The location was unbeatable steps away from the the biggest plaza in madrid. Night life was extremely active outside hotel which created a little noise but the air conditioning worked great and could buffer the sounds of the street.

We were so excited after reading other reviews of this hotel that we looked forward to our stay with high expectations. We checked in and went to our room. It was very small not really room for suitcases and people. The only flat surface to place things on was a small table desk that had a Laptop computer installed on it. The TV did not work. It turned […] on but the remote would not change channels or volume. The Shower had a power wand and the hose slipped out of the head when the water was turned on. The sheets had stains and there were no washclothes or tissues supplied with the room. Worst of all there were bedbugs. Of course we did not discover those until we slept in the bed [my wife felt that things were crawling on her all night]. In the morning we found a number of dead bedbugs in the bed. Afer we called the issues to the hotel staffs attention they did switch us to another room [it was even smaller]and they gave us a small bag of candy and cookies for our inconvience. Les mer

Great location. Nice rooms. Appreciated the free internet in the rooms. Staff for the most part was helpful. A little hard to find when your arriving into Madrid by car since it is in a pedestrian only zone. Would stay there again.

I chose the hotel because of other travelers' comments on Hotel.com. I stayed in the family room with my 24 and 18 year old kids. The space was a little tight, as expected, but the room was clean, well-located and QUIET. The service was great. Tip: Many people have suggested avoiding the Breakfast Bar because of the $ 10E per person cost. If you have […] kids, reconsider. You'll spend a few dollars less at cafes, but the kids will eat three times as much at the hotel so you'll spend less later. I learned the hard way. Les mer

After booking this hotel I read some fairly negative reviews about room size etc and was not sure what to expect. However, my experience of the Petit Palace was 100% positive. It was really easy to find from the Sol Metro stop, and in an ideal lcation for exploring the city. Upon arrival we were checked in without delay and the staff were very friendly […] and welcoming. Our room was on the 4th floor with a balcony overlooking the small street nearby. The air conditioning meant that we were able to sleep comfortably despite the summer heat outside, and the room was more than big enough for the two of us. The breakfast on offer was also of an excellent standard, much better than I have found in other 4 star hotels. I had a fantastic stay in Madrid and intend to return to the city. When I do I will definitely stay here again - no complaints whatsoever. Les mer

el hotel es ideal para ir andando al Madrid turistico, con un parquing en la puerta y las paradas de metro y autobuses de sol a 2 minutos. Ideal tambien para disfrutar de la oferta teatral de la Gran Via. El personal de recepcion muy atento

中国游客一定会觉得房间小，但南欧酒店的房间都不大，这家酒店的房间相对来说就算大的了。早餐很丰盛，地理位置超级优越，无论白天想去主广场晒太阳，还是晚上去小酒馆体会西班牙美食和美酒，只需慵懒的下个楼梯，悠闲的在街上漫步就到了。如果要去稍远一点儿的地方，该酒店离太阳门广场的地铁站步行也就5分钟吧，相当方便。房间虽不大，但设施很好，住着很舒服。

pessimo hotel, personale non professionale, primo giorno camera mignon con letto francese con pc e tv rotti, secondo giorno cambio di camera con pc rotto e acqua calda inesistente. gute, zentrale Lage in der Altstadt, allerdings nachts eher laut.

Wir waren für 2 Tage im Hotel. Zuerst hatten wir ein sehr kleines Zimmer im Keller. Man sagte uns, es wäre nichts anderes mehr frei. Am nächsten Tag aber haben wir ein schönes großes Zimmer bekommen. Das Hotel war sehr sauber und die Betten bequem. Die Lage ist super.

Pobyt w hotelu uważam z bardzo udany. Nie tylko usytuowanie w centrum miasta (wśród atrakcji turystycznych), ale również standard samego budynku (wyposażenie pokoi, winda, recepcja, restauracja) sprawiają, że wydane pieniądze zdają się być adekwatne do otrzymanego efektu. Petit Palace Posada del Peine polecam wszystkim, którzy szukają dostępu do ludzi […] i rozrywki, ale mieszkać chcą w niegłośnym otoczeniu.
