Oppholdet var bra, ble møtt i døren av personalet, fikk hjelp med koffert opp til rommet. Frokost var veldig bra og de var serviceinnstilt. Fine rom og gode senger. Bra størrelse på badet var det også.

Hadde et kjempebra opphold på Grand Hotel Cavour. Sentralt og fint. God service, bra renhold på rommet. God frokost i hyggelig frokostsal. Synd at været ikke tillot at vi kunne spise frokost på den flotte takterassen. Vi fikk en ettermiddag der oppe med et glass god vin - det var helt fantastisk! Dette hotellet kan jeg gjerne anbefale til andre.

"Ved jernbanen"
Billig hotell ved jernbanen. Har både leiligheter og rom. Perfekt for familier på tur til Firenze.
"Do not stay here"
Worst hotel ever. I was literally scared for my safety while staying at this hotel. Was given a "room" a block away in an apartment building with no hallway lights, and pitch black surroundings. Do not stay here.
"Derelict Hotel"
The hotel is located in a back alley, and immediately you enter you get a sense of derelict. Second surprise was, that I got an apartment and not a hotel room. The sheets on the bed had visible stains. The hotel staff mastery of english was sub standard.
I would not recommend this hotel. The lobby is located in different building from the rooms. Have to walk with the luggage. Rooms have no phones or ways to communicate. Rooms have poor infraestructure. Located at walking distance from the Doumo, close to train station, but the inmediate sorrounding area is not recommended if walking alone.

The worst hotel I have ever stayed. It's nor even worth one star.
"Frightening!"
I carried my luggage up 2 flights of stairs after finding this hotel in an alley behind an iron gate only to find out that my room was 1 block away in another building!! The other building was scary with dark hallways and people yelling at night within the building. My wife & I could hear all activity in the hallways and were actually scared of someone […] breaking in. The shower is almost directly above the toilet with now catch for the water. Each time I showered it flooded the entire bathroom and hallway into the bedroom. We had to laugh because this was like something out of a National Lampoons European Vacation. Not a hotel I could recommend to anyone. Only plus side, plenty of space with kitchen/living room area. Les mer
"Look for something better!"
I would not suggest staying at this hotel! The only good thing about our stay here was the fairly close walk from the train station. When we arrived the mini fridge in our room had old bread, milk and cheese inside. They did not do a very good cleaning before we arrived. The bed was a pull out couch that was very uncomfortable. There was no phone available […] to call the hotel front desk or even to make an outgoing local call. The TV did not work and the washroom smelt of urine too! Our room was not even situated in the same building as the check in/out reception desk, we had to walk another 5 minutes to a random building that had hotel guest rooms mingled in with regular locals apartments. It might not have been as sketchy at night if they had the area lit with lights, but there were none! We found ourselves using our cell phone lights so we could walk to our room. It is definitely worth paying an extra 10 -20 euros to stay somewhere better and more comfortable overall! Les mer
"The Alamanni Hotel in Florence"
I stayed at the Alamanni in July 2011- the location of he hotel was convenient to the central train station; unfortunately not so for driving in from Pisa on a Sunday afternoon. I had picked the hotel due to its free parking; however, did not anticipate having to navigate the most frustrating and confusing one way traffic system I have ever had to negotiate. […] Hotel maps/advice from staff did not help our exit from the city as even locals find it hard to explain the system and just gave up with a shrug; whilst maps don't even bother to depict the one way system in arrows. The hotel in itself was what I expected for what I paid; clean, comfortable and reasonably central. Don't expect too much for breakfast; very basic buffet with suspiciously stale rolls/bread. Also, wouldn't recommend paying the upgrade for the balcony-all the balconies to the rear and are small and devoid of any view/sun.However, overall a good budget place to stay. Les mer
"second visit"
i had a very disapointing visit. It was my second visit to the Alamanni and just doesnt compare to the first. I expected that i would stay in the same property that i stayed in the last time that i visited which was the actual location that you check into but was given keys to a place that was a block away. This location was not what i was hoping for. […] It was a block farther out from the city which made it inconvienent to get to the beautiful sites, it smelled like sewage in the entry way, there was no safe and was street level so it was very loud. If i knew this before i would not have stayed here and it does not deserve three stars, at most this was a no star hostel. Oh and what was worse was the service. I had asked the guy at the front desk to make me a reservation at my favorite florence restarant and he straight up lied to me and told me that restaurant did not take reservations, only to find out when we showed up that they did take reservations and that other hotels booked tables for their guests. Shame on the alamanni, a good hotel turned trash. :-( Les mer
"Cheap Personnel with bad advice!"
Horrible personnel, horrible internet connection despite connection fee. No breakfast inclusion made things very difficult around town. They advised us to take "The Best of Tuscany Tours" to go around to Siena and Pisa... the tour group left us behind at Siena and we had to find our way back. When we told the hotel personnel, they were not sympathetic […] and were instead condescending and rude. We asked for maps to our next destination to be printed at the desk and they said they charged 1 Euro per page, something that is considered courtesy at any other hotel when they have guests for over three nights. We suspect they had bed bugs as well as we were both covered in bites after our stay at this hotel. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the towels smelled like vinegar... Horrible overall experience, would not recommend it at all!!! Les mer

"Dirty and an uncomfortable stay (bed bugs?)!!"
The location of this hotel is convenient since it's near the train station, but so are the 20 other hotels that are on the same block. This hotel is dirty! The first thing you notice when you walk into the bathroom is a slight mold/mildew smell which made me gag. The walls in the room are dirty and there are dead bugs. There is no free wifi - it's a […] $15/day fee. The AC doesn't really work and since it was a hot day we couldn't sleep comfortably. Worst of all, we had lots of bug bites! We're not sure if they're bed bug bites, but we woke up the next morning and had bites everywhere (I would upload photos if this review allowed me to). We asked the receptionist to change rooms, but he said they're completely booked and he couldn't. There was also no refund for our 2nd booked night. We slept with the lights on, but I still managed to find new bites the next morning. So glad we only booked 2 nights and couldn't wait to get out of there. There are literally 10-15 hotels on that same block, near the train station. Spend a little more and stay at a nicer hotel. Do not book this hotel!! Les mer
"NOT WHAT YOU WOULD EXPECT"
On arriving at the hotel we were told our room was in an apartment block 500 metres away. When we got to our room we could hear the air conditioner blasting away from outside. We could not believe the state of the room. The floor was filthy, 2 of the 3 windows were taped shut, water leaked from the standing air conditioner all the way across the floor […] to the kitchen, the fan above the stove did not work, the shower in the bathroom stood in the middle above a drain which meant you had to walk through the water to get to the toilet. We booked the room 3 months in advance & when we complained to the staff member about the state of the room he became quite agitated & rude telling us no one had ever complained before & there was nothing wrong. We wanted a room in the hotel but nothing was offerred to us. Will definitely not return to this hotel. Les mer
"The worst accomodations ever!"
Hotels.com REALLY need to research this accommodation much more closely, as this establishment is NOT a hotel/motel/B&B. We got to the address of the "hotel" and went to the 2nd floor with all of our luggage, just to find out that we would be staying about 2 blocks away at an apartment building. There was no one at reception to help with our bags, so […] we had to drag them all the way to the apartment after checking in. The studio apartment was not that great and the AC was awful! Les mer
"Alamanni Hotel Florence, Italy"
We were pleasantly surprised with our stay at Alamanni. The front desk personnel were nice. After reading some not so positive reviews, we were concerned about this hotel; however, it was clean, the hotel staff was helpful and we had a pleasant stay here for the price that we paid. This hotel also is very convenient to the train station.

"Location is everything"
It is convenient to the Train Station and an easy walk to many tourist destinations, but not much else recommends the Alamanni. Staff is cool and not given to putting the customer first. Rooms had obvious mold in the showers and towels are cleaned every day only with an extra 7 Euro charge per person. Skip the breakfast (stale rolls, processed cheese […] and generic yogurt) as it was the worst on our trip (4 hotels) and makes you look forward to airline food. Les mer

This was my second visit to the hotel. This time was not OK, they gave me a room very dirty at the shower area, whith mosquitoes and ants, and I had to pay them Internet very expansive. And they did not give me breakfast included in the price. I think I will change my hotel next time.
"Alamanni Hotel - Florence"
We enjoyed our stay at the Alamanni Hotel. The location was perfect, since it was only about 2-3 blocks from the train station. We arrived a day early and were glad to have been able to check in a day early and keep the same room for our entire stay. We were there for 10 days and the service was good and so was the staff. They were all very helpful […] and informative, especially Teodore, who seemed to always be working. It could use a touch of paint, but overall it was clean and neat and the beds were very comfortable. We would stay there again. Les mer
"Dirty and smelly"
We as a group of 5 travellers were allocated an apartment; this apartment suffered from two major issues: 1. Dirty and flea infested. 2. When the windows were closed the air conditioner piping would smell worse than the Florence drains - yo the point where it wad impossible to sleep in the affected rooms. To remedy this we open the windows, this alleviated […] the smell issue but then allowed all the traffic and passing revellers sounds to permiate throughout the sleeping areas (we couldn't win). The owner of the Allamani hotel was extremely rude and would not even propose any solutions to the problem, which as he explained was a common issue in Florence. I disagree as having stayed in Florence before; I can confirm this has been one of my first bad experiences in Florence. The only solution offered was for us to leave and find other accommodation; an almost impossible feat for 5, so close to Easter. I would strongly suggest not using this hotel. Les mer

"Not luxurious but convenient"
For a place to spend the night or maybe even a couple, this is perfect, you walk 3 blocks and you get into the main part of Florence, then is off to walking, you can park your car at the hotel, but you must pay around 20 Euros and the parking lot is very narrow. The hotel was an apartment that was about half a block away from where you check in, nothing […] luxurious but it met all my needs which was a place to sleep and a place to shower. There's no soap or shampoo, but there are towels. The beds are made and there's extra pillows for convenience, I say it again, is not luxurious but convenient more than anything. Les mer
"The owner of the hotel is very rude"
The bathroom shower door was fallen off, when we called, he said we broke it. I took a picture and went to registration office to show him and he unwillingly to come and he was very rude to us, and he said you can get out and slammed the door. The air conditioner was dripping water and the air conditioner another room is very weak. There are a few […] other things such as the knob of safety box fell off and it is not working. Because of the bad experience, we want some refunds, and hope Hotels.com warns other travellers about this hotel. Les mer
"Florence - Florencia -Firenze"
We stayed in May 2010 in The Alamanni Hotel /Apartments on Via Alamanni Luigi 35 in Florence . The general experience was good. We were traveling with Kids and elder people and we stayed 4 adults and 2 kids in one apartment. The interiors are in good condition and the cleaning service is good. For anybody traveling by train to this city carrying big […] luggage is very convenient due to the proximity to the Santa Maria Novella Train Station, just 5 minutes walking. Apartments are good for families and groups, the kitchen is sufficient if you plan to save some money and have breakfast and late dinner on the flats. An important point to highlight is that the reception of the hotel is on a different building than the apartments therefore dont bring your luggage up on the reception building at Alammani road if you requested a cuadruple room as those are the apartments that are in another building. In general was a good choice and we had a pleaseant stay. Les mer
"Hotel Alamanni - Great stay"
This hotel is 5 mins walk from the train station. Our stay was very comfrtable and room was big and clean. It came with kitchenette. The only thing is the address they give when you go there there is a calling bell and you need to go to 2nd floor to the reception. Then they will send you to another building which is couple of blocks away. So be aware […] of it. Other than that the service and quality of the hotel is great!!!! I will stay there again. Les mer

"Great room for the price"
It is practically across the street from the Central Train station (couple of blocks down) which is the main highlight. They have two buildings and you do not know which one you are staying in until you arrive. We stayed in the second building which was a block down, no big deal. チェントロトは逆方面になりますが、駅に近く部屋がアパルトメントのようで広かった。シャワーの水量も強かったし、キッチン付きで火は使えないけど結構便利だった。フロントとは別のところにあって荷物とか運ぶのが大変だけど、連泊で荷物を置いての観光にはいいかも。 トイレのふたが外れてたり、細かいことが気にならなければいいホテルだと思う。

"solo está cerca de la estación del tren"
La atención del personal no es muy amable, la habitación olía mucho a recién fumigada. En mi reservación decía que el inernet es gratis y no fue cierto, me quisieron cobrar 15 euros. No me volvería yo a hospedar ahí, creo que hay mucho mejores.

Angenehme Atmosphäre. Sehr freundliches Personal mit guten Englischkenntnissen. Frühstück war simpel aber gut. Einfaches Zimmer mit Klimaanlage sauberem WC und Dusche. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind gut zu Fuss erreichbar.

このホテルは、フィレンツェ駅の西側のビルの中に位置しているが、その建物の三階にはフロントと食堂と数部屋あるのみで、実際の部屋はさらに二箇所に分散している。私が実際に宿泊した部屋は、その建物からさらに北に約150mほど行った建物の一階にあった。部屋の設備は標準的なものだが特に充実している訳ではない。部屋が離れているため、常時三つの鍵を携帯する必要がある。ホテル代の高いフィレンツェでは割安なホテルではあるが、不便なので短期滞在者にはすすめられない。

Bij aankomst werden wij behoorlijk afgesnauwd door de medewerker achter de receptie en op een dwingende onvriendelijk toon erop gewezen dat wij nog voor parkeren moesten betalen. Helaas is dit alle dagen zo doorgegaan. Geen vriendelijke gedag bij het ontbijt of het inleveren of ophalen van de sleutel. Wij merkte op dat dit bij iedereen zo ging. Het […] ontbijt was zeer karig. Localização excelente, quarto apartamento muito bom, com fogao, frigobar, panelas, utensilios domesticos. muito bom.

Gente de mal genio en recepción. Nos mandaron a otro edificio con otro nombre de hotel a doscientos metros de distancia, a un edificio feo mal distribuido. La habitación olía feo.

"Central beliggende hotel med middelmådig service"
Hotel og værelse (beliggende i separat bygning ca. 200 m fra reception) var pænt, men værelsets faciliteter var ikke vedligeholdt. Vi havde et ret stort familie værelse, som derfor havde to aircondition enheder, men den ene virkede ikke, og det var derfor svært at holde en behagelig temperatur (varm juni måned). Værelset havde også et te-køkken, men […] opvaskemaskinen virkede ikke. Receptionen påstod, at der var et informationsskilt om dette, men det var ikke tilfældet. Ved vores ophold havde vi forsinket bagage, og personalet lovede at bringe vore kufferter til værelset, når de ankom. Dette skete ikke, og vi måtte selv finde og hente dem i receptionen. Les mer

"not bad..."
一番安いプラン（部屋のタイプが当日までわからないというもの）にしました。ホテル自体はSMN駅から5分ちょとくらいでしょうか。ホテルの受付とは別の、さらに3分くらいはなれたところに私たちの宿泊の部屋はありました。広く清潔感のある部屋でしたが、タオルがテーブルクロスのようなものでした。観光の場所からは少しだけ離れますが、歩ける距離です。毎日ベッドメイクはしてくれますが、タオルは変えてはくれないようです。

Sieht man einmal, von dem mehr als übersichtlichen Frühstück ab, war das Hotel ganz in Ordnung. auch das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit
