The Hampton Inn Edmond is a really nice hotel. You will need a car in this area anyway, so the location doesn´t really matter. The good thing about the location, was that it is close to I-35. Had no trouble with noise from the road. The standard and quality of the entire hotel is good except for one thing: The AC is extremely noisy. I have never heard anything like it. You can choose temperature and whether the AC shall be On or in Auto mode (which is a really nice feature!). However, we found out that if we should use the AC during the night, we had to leave it on and use earplugs. If you choose Auto mode, you are awaken every time the AC turns on. We were there in the spring when it was still possible to leave the AC off during the night, but I would not recommend this hotel at times when it is absolutely necessary with AC. Too bad, because the hotel is really nice except for this.

"If you need a cheap hotel with less than no frills"
This is your place. It's cleanish, the main issue is that it's freakin old. The TVs are still tubes and staticy, the bathrooms have stains and shower water damage...it's not a bad place, but if you need it for anything more than a bed, this is not the place for you. "Guthrie"
Employees were friendly and helpful. Room clean, except sheets were not changed when the room was cleaned on Saturday. Thermostat got real warm in middle of the night even though it was set to least warm setting for heat.
"Clean and Quiet"
Located 30 minutes from Stillwater (OSU) - so drive to/from OSU was the only complaint we had. Otherwise -- hotel was clean, quiet, very comfortable beds. Easy to get on/off I-35. Furniture was out-dated, however new paint and carpet was great. Breakfast (included) was good; but there are also a number of restaurants close by. "Guthrie Scottish Rite weekend"
My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay. The staff was helpful and friendly and the room was very clean and comfortable. The only thing I wish is that the bar repairs are completed before we stay again. Having a bar on premises was the main reason we chose to stay here.
"The Best Western in Guthrie"
This is an extremely well maintained hotel. The clerks working the front desk were very helpful and pleasant. No matter what time it was we checked in. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and if I plan on staying overnight for an OSU game I will choose this hotel.

Zooming south on I 35, the directions were easy to follow. The property sits on a hill next to a great ribs place. There's a variety of food and gas businesses close by.
