"Dogs allowed-Good. Everything else-So-so."
Unfortunately I was not happy with this stay. The only really good thing I can say is that they allowed Dogs. It was very over priced for what you are getting. I have stayed at 3 and 4 stars for less then I paid here. The 'Gym' is not even located on site and not just the hotels. It is a local gym that they give you a pass to. Also if you are located […] on the street side it is quite loud. You can really hear the traffic and there is a stop light right next to the hotel. You are given tickets also for your breakfast. These are to be used at the eatery next door. We did not eat there as we were out the door prior to their opening hours. Beds were okay but pillows were very lumpy. First of all hotel refused to honor the rate we booked online for. No continental breakfast at hotel. Rooms were clean. Overpriced in light of competition.

We enjoyed our two night stay. We used the indoor pool and whirl pool, both nights. The pool water was a little too cold though. My wife was unable to use the pool because of that. She has arthritis and fibermialgia. We had two of our grand daughters with us and they enjoyed the pool. We liked the convenience of the Country Grill next door. I was very happy with my room it was very clean and comfortable. The staff were polite and helpful. There was a resturant next door which made eating out very convenient. I would stay there again and would recommend it to everyone.

Excellent hotel experience. The hotel was recently updated all around and exceeded our expectations for a mid priced Upper Peninsula hotel. The rooms were large and well appointed. Nice pool and lobby area. Conveniently located with a snowmobile trail head that leads right to the parking lot. I would recommmend this hotel to anyone.

"Best Western Country Inn 850 US 41 West"
The hotel did not have an elevator which made it very difficult for my 88 year old mother-in-law. Our room was on the 2nd floor.The bathtub was also unusable for her as it had one very low bar to hold onto. When we arrived the toilet would not flush, so after going down to the main desk, my husband was told that no maintenance staff was on duty (this […] was the 4th of July weekend), and he could wait for the desk clerk to come up when she had time, or he could do it himself. He took care of it himself. Because the sink was in the room, my mother-in-law had to take a sponge bath with no privacy. I would not use this hotel again. No compensation was offered for our inconvenience. They did not try to get us a room on the first floor to help with the stair situation. Les mer
