"Baymont - Ennis, TX"
2 rooms were booked to be next to each other, on the ground floor and one room was to be equipped for handicapped BUT to make a pre-paid booking was a priority, as the rooms assigned at check in were not next to each other and on the upper floor, no elevator, and neither equipped for handicapped. However, the Hotel staff were kind enough to eqip a room […] for a guest and next to another room and on the ground floor. We moved a bedside table to the bathroom for handicap ease. Breakfast was pityfull - always something missing and short of food, coffee, O.J. etc. so most made do. Room keys were always invalid, meaning trips to the front desk for both rooms on more than 2 occasions. Les mer
"Baymont Inn - Ennis, Texas"
No Wi-Fi but advertised; Doors into the hotel had no security. You did not have to put in your room badge or any other form you could just walk right in. Breakfast was really really weak. Woke up at 9:00 am on Christmas Day and went downstairs and no orange juice or any other juice. Pitchers were empty but 2 girls were behind the office counter. Then […] walked back upstairs and could not get back into our room with the plastic card key so went to the reception desk and she did something to the key went back upstairs sill would not work. The hotel is in diar need of a upgrade. Les mer
"Great Place to Stay"
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Baymont Inn from the time we got here . I was initially skeptic about this hotel due to there reviews but still gave it a try and to our surprise, it was a great place for the price. Rooms were very clean as per the hotel standards, Nice firm beds, Breakfast was combination of hot and cold with waffle maker ,Egg patties, […] Pork patties ,selection of Beverages, Breads , Yogurt ,fruits and more, We were even given a courtesy call to see if we liked our room which I am not very used to getting in hotels, and to it all off was there warm front desk staff . "Very Disappointing"
The night before I stayed at the Baymont in Ennis, I stayed in a Baymont property for the first time, and had a superb experience. Not so here. This was a bit of an older property, and appeared to have begun life under a different brand. Walking into the lobby, you first pass the "night window" with the seeming bulletprof glass and speaker grille for […] communicating with what the original builder felt were the late arriving riff-raff. The common areas are OK. The room was adequate, but my allergies kicked in within two minutes of entering the room. The temperature controls were good, but other than that, every feature was striving to stretch to mediocrity. The door had to be forced shut, and the interior security lock was a slider type device, not the typical swing arm and ball thing that, while not attractive, is pretty secure. This slider could be defeated by a thin five year old leaning against it. Why bother? There was a dead bolt at the locking mechanism, but the physical interior lock wasn't worth the trouble - and of course could only be employed once I leaned heavily on the door to get it fully shut in the first place. The breakfast experience was abysmal. Breakfast is served from 6-9 AM. I showed up about 8:30 and was clearly the first guest to arrive at the breakfast fiesta. There were no cups out for coffee or orange juice. When I got the attention of someone at the front desk, this was quickly remedied. I wish it hadn't been. The coffee was fine, but the orange juice, (even after I vigorously stirred it, since it had been sitting in the pitcher for two and a half hours at that point) was horrible; I literally had to spit it out. (When I checked out, the desk clerk apologized profusely for the quality of the orange juice - I guess she tried some.) Another guest speculated that this hotel had suffered from roving bands of remote-stealing polka dancers. Apparently this crime wave hasn't been restricted to folks of the polka persuasion. "an ok room for the price"
the room was quiet, so we were able to sleep which is always a plus. front desk staff were friendly. the bed linens are scratchy and uncomfortable, the bathroom linens are dingy. they only give you 2 towels, so then you have to call for more. the swimming pool was broken. neighborhood was great, close to restaurants and such.

"Nice room for the money, service needs work"
Granted, it was a very busy weekend in Ennis, Texas (National Polka Fest). But we didn't have a TV remote in the room, and found out the next day that they were supposed to be passing them out to guests at check in (are Polka people notorious remote control thieves???) but apparently forgot to give us one.
