very quiet hotel-sound deadening the best I've encountered

The room was very nice, most of the personnel were nice and helpful. We were there with a large group of high school boys and they were accomondating. Lots of breakfast for the boys too.

Overall great stay, location is in a very quiet neighbourhood, but you are within a short drive of most major locations in the city. Dining locations are very close in location as well as good variation. Complimentary breakfast was adequate, and the only real complaint or problem I can think of is the age of the TV in the room as Im sure they were the […] original TVs from the original build of the hotel. Not a deal breaker, but a newer tv would have improved the overall athetics of the room to the modern layout it has. Also the WIFI signal was not always strong as a few connectivity issues were incurred, but overall this hotel meets all needs and whether your there for one night or a week, I recommend to the fullest! This Best Western is great for price if going to Mall of America or needing an Airport stay. Lobby is beautiful. Night staff that greated us was so delightful and friendly and very helpful with our questions. Our room was lovely as we entered, bed's were very comfortable, bathrooms nice and large. I did not like the not up to date door locks, the heating […] system was not working well (old systems). The Free breakfast food was GOOD, but was so crowded and hot in there for that size of a hotel, needs to be updated. The lady working to refill seemed over whelmed and was not super polite, just reaching in and bumping into people with food on plates. The worst part of this hotel is PARKING. It is NOT HANDICAPP friendly at ALL!!!! There is no parking in front of the main entrance. I did not find one handicap sign where I was directed to go. I had to walk a LONG was from where I had to park and I found a close parking spot. I will not stay again because I am handicap and can not walk far, so the parking is very important of me. I have stayed at Dakota ridge 5 times now and have found it to be a very clean and pleasent place to stay. Staff is friendly and efficent. Parking can be a bit tight sometimes,but not a big enough problem to stop me from staying there again. I would definetly recomend Dakota Ridge.

great hotel and location. only 10 mins to MOA, Excel Energy Centre, Minnesota Zoo, lots of other shopping and dining locations surrounding hotel.

Liked the hotel employees, very kind and helpful, The room was clean and in good order. The TV was older than God and it was the weekend of the nCAA so I was watching the games in the snow on the TV, Did report it; it didn't get fixed. Also, they ran out of papersreally early in the morning so the lady at the front desk said you can probably find some […] in the food room and sure they were all slavered up with jam and butterl I think people were using them for placemats. be aware that if you book this hotel on hotels.com that they say the parking is included in the hotel price. It's NOT. hotel was great, but the extra cost for parking for our weeks vacation was a bit of a let down.

10 miles from airport, 8 miles from Downtown St. Paul made this an ideal location to fly in to watch hockey at the Xcel Energy Center. Room was laid out well, decent comfort, cleanliness was good. Issues: hot water cutting in and out on the shower, temperature control was touchy and difficult to maintain. Not nearly enough parking at the hotel site. […] Every night coming back to the hotel, it was a struggle just to find a parking spot. The other annoyance, PAPER THIN WALLS. You could hear everything happening in the room next door. Positives: great value! For the money, really can't beat it. Location was great and the shuttle availability was wonderful. Fridge and microwave came in really handy with prepping tailgating supplies. Overall, worth the stay, but pretty sure the privacy thing might hinder us from coming back without a discounted rate. Room was smaller than anticipated, but clean and comfortable. Temperature control was a little difficult, probably due to the fact that it is a little older hotel. Breakfast buffet was good with traditional and healthier options and quite a bit of seating. The hardest part was parking. It seemed like very few cars left during the day and it was always […] full at night when we got back after our dinner. They had overflow parking, but that wasn't all that close and there was quite a bit of snow when we were there. Les mer

When we arrived to the hotel they upgraded us to an executive suite and it was a very pleasurable stay. Especially when walking into the room after a long day of traveling and seeing a massage chair in the room....awesome, thank you!

Stayed in Eagan to see some friends play in a band near by. The staff was awesome, very friendly, and helpful. The shuttle service was great! And the room was very comfortable and clean. Great stay at a great price!

I was very disappointed that it was not explained to me that we had to pay for parking daily. I thought it was included in the room rate. Not sure I will book there again for that reason.

Took my wife to mall of America and the science museum for our anniversary, and the hotel was great. Shuttle service to anywhere within 15 miles, decent breakfast. Staff was very nice also. Room was nice. Close to sum good resturants, within walking distance. Only down side was a hour wait for the shuttle at the mall, but that was traffic related. All […] in all, highly recommended! I had to initial a statement saying I wouldn't smoke in the room, but upon entering, the room reeked of cigarette smoke! My girlfriend had to unplug the bathtub because there was still water in there with hair. That was very unprofessional. The blanket had white stains. The internet and tv was very slow, finally gave up on the net and just closed my […] computer. Their was only a flimsy white curtain and a very bright street lamp that made it impossible to sleep (the heavier red curtains didn't even slide all the way to the middle to block out the light). Room description was misleading, say there all rooms include washer and dryer. Only good thing was the individual temperature controls and the walls were pretty solid, couldn't really hear outside noise. Some random girl (not one of the check in people) grabbed my id when i was checking in...very rude. I believe she was part of the staff because the people behind the counter acknowledged her. Elevators were very slow. Didn't even bother to checkout their "fitness" center. breakfast was a joke. i grabbed a spoon to eat yogurt and there was still last nights dinner on it. will not be coming to this hotel ever again. i've paid less for better hotels. This hotel worked perfectly for our needs. We were traveling with an infant and toddler. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We were taking our daughter to have an out-patient procedure, and the hotel staff were very helpful and allowed us to check out 1 hour later with no issues. The guy at check-in was kind of rude and not helpful or friendly, but other than that it was a nice clean place close to the airport.

I stayed here for our Holiday party on a Saturday night. We had a room on the freeway side of the hotel and heard the traffic all night. Snowplows went by and I though they were in my room! Even though check out was not until 11 am, the maid was at the door at 9:30 knocking and then trying to enter. Very frustrating after being up quite late the night […] before. Breakfast was almost non existent on a Sunday. Coffee was the best thing there. Small cups for take out. Some kind of stale looking breakfast sandwich in the warmer and not very nice looking fruit. That was the extent of it. Of course, no one was in the eating area. Stick with the restaurant next door. Les mer

The hotel was in a great location. The breakfast offered was nice - good coffee

Very convenient; friendly staff!

Ten minutes to the airport and the driver was very kind and friendly, though it was 4:30 in the morning!

Hotel had older water fixtures but they were very well kept.

Only problem was the elevators were poorly maintained. On more than one occasion I thought I might get stuck in the elevator.

Had a great nights stay!

Nice facilities, good breakfast, wonderful service. The desk person went out of his way to provide a cot - at no charge!

Nice lobby area with internet/computers provided, nice waterfall when you first walk in, which presents as if it is an updated hotel. However, rooms are quite the opposite, they are old, outdated decor, smells funky. I can't really say anything bad, the staff are friendly, but again, the room has an old smell.

This hotel was the perfect distance from my business, the airport, and Mall of America. Close but away from heavy traffic.

I needed a reasonable hotel close to the airport and the BW certainly met my needs! Nice hotel, clean tidy room, reasonable breakfast, helpful non-invasive personnel. Warmly recommended.
