Nice, clean, friendly people, good breakfast, very centrally located at Gran Via. Main shopping area outside the door, close to Metro stations. Good price. No disturbance from street traffic. What more would you want.

Hotellet hadde god standart. Imponert over badet. Elendig utsikt. Min kones pass ble stjålet på hotellet. Sikkerheten ar derfor ikke god nok.

Det er meningsløst at et så bra hotell på alle andre områder ikke har roomservice eller i det minste mulighet for tidlig frokost for dem av oss med grytidlige flyavganger. Ellers: HELT strålende.

Sentral beliggenhet ifht. shopping. Fine fellesarealer med en topp takterasse med bar. Fin utsikt herfra.

Hotellet har en helt perfekt beliggenhet i Madrid. Personalet er hyggelige og hjelpsomme, og takerrassen i 10. etasje er genial. Rommet vi fikk var svært lite, men på den annen side funka ac'en godt, og vi lå ut mot baksida sånn at det var stille og fint å sove, sjøl midt i feiringa av Spanias EM-suksess. Et annet minus: Vennene våre hadde allergiproblemer, og det viste seg vanskelig å få bytte til ikke-røykerrom. Det ble bare parfymert over røyklukta, noe som jo ikke akkurat er noen genistrek når det gjelder allergikere!!

Koselige og rene rom, og hyggelige folk som jobber her. Hadde utsikt til en kjip bakgård, men hvem trenger vel utsikt når man i stedet skal være ute å oppleve herlige Madrid. Hotellet ligger svært sentralt. Anbefales!

Blid og vennlig mottakelse i resepsjonen. God veiledning mht. hotellet og hotellrommets fasiliteter. Pent møblert rom. Delikat og velutstyrt baderom. Innholdsrik og god frokost. Koselig bar i toppetasjen. Hotellets beliggenhet var perfekt, sentralt til det meste.

Kjempefin beliggenhet, rent og delikat rom. Hyggelig betjening og en kjempefin salong med bar og takterrasse.

Bra hotell det var internett men det kostet frokosten var og ok sentralt til metro og turist buss

Flott beliggenhet, topp service med meget dyktige og kunnskapsrike medarbeidere som hadde gode engelskunnskaper, rene flotte og store rom. Ok frokost kunne vært noe mer utvalg men ellers flotte lokaler. Fantastisk flott på takterassen og tilhørende oppholdsrom.

The staff was very kind and helpful. They answered questions and helped with arranging local tours. Rooms very clean and comfortable.

We were delighted with the accommodations of Hotel Atlantico. The room was small, but tidy, and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel staff was attentive but not overbearing. We really enjoyed the free Internet on the 9th floor lobby and the beautiful balcony overlooking Grand Via. The location is across from the Calleo metro stop and about 300 meters from Puerto del Sol and a few hundred more from Plaza Mayor. The only downside was the expensive breakfast buffet which we opted out of. We highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is excellent. The rooms are nice and updated. They are quiet and have double windows and external blinds to keep out the traffic noise and light. The top floor lounge and bar is very nice. The location is great if you are looking to be in downtown near the old city. It is between two subway stops and very close to the major sites.

I have stayed at this hotel 5 times. The only problem I had this time was that we were there on a Friday night, and our room looked out to Gran Via, it was very noisy. It has wonderful accomodations and a great breakfast. I would stay here again.

It was the perfect place to stay and I will be back! The staff was friendly and helpful.

Stayed here on my first visit to Madrid.I was visiting my daughter, who is studying abroad. I was alone for several days until my husband arrived and always felt safe. I opted for the premium room and can't say what the basic is like, however the premium room I was given was very nice;comfortable beds,double sheeting,flat screen tv,marble bath with separate toilet area. I had turn down service almost every day(for some reason they missed a few days; but in fairness , we were keeping strange hours i.e. sleeping in late going out to dinner late) I was a bit concerned about the noise level since my room was on the Gran Via side, but they have wonderful shutters that block the noise and it was no problem.The hotel is in a very central location. We walked to almost everything. Night time is a bit sketchy, but well lit and not entirely unsafe ,if you are city savvy and keep your purse across your body etc. I had trouble finding the shuttle they provide from the airport and ended up taking a cab(37 euro and a hair raising ride!) My husband arrived 3 days later than I did and found the shuttle. When I asked about this they seemed to shrug as if maybe it's erratic. The rooftop bar is nice however I was alone for dinner one night and didn't want to dine out alone so I ate there, and it was not very good. Very small selection and my potato omelette was cold. No big deal though. There is free internet in the room as long as you have a cable( they will provide one if you need it) The staff was very nice and welcoming. Breakfast was not included in my rate, but the coffee is complimentary,My daughter and I ate breakfast one morning and although it was good, there is a Pans to the left of the hotel where you can get coffee, fresh squeezed juice, and a croissant for under 3 euro,so this is what I did most mornings. I would definitely stay there again.

We were very impressed by the hotel. It was beautiful with good service. Note: The hotel is on the Gran Via and although we were on the 7th floor the noise from the street was very noticeable.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. Coming from the USA "Best Western" does not go with comfort and quality but the Best Western Atlantico is an excellent hotel. The bed was hard but they had great pillows to offset the not so great bed. The staff was the best! very friedly and always helpful. We always stay at Marriott hotels but the room at the BW-Atlantico was much nicer than the Marriott room we had in London - including the staff. Great Hotel for the money- will consider staying here again on our next visit to Madrid.

We love the old world beauty of the hotel and found the staff very helpful. We just had a few days there, but would return.

Have to say was really pleasantly surprised that such a lovely hotel was such a reasonable price considering its central location. We were a bit lucky in that we were upgraded to a superior room. Terrace bar is very relaxing and we found the service there very good. Overall, if i go back to madrid I'll try to get a room here again.

The staff in the Hotel Atlantico were very helpful. My purse was stolen while on the Metro on the day we arrived in Madrid and the receptionist and bell captain were very helpful in providing forms, calling the police and translating what they were saying for us. The hotel itself was lovely. Very centrally located, everything was in walking distance. The terrace was a little haven in a busy city. I would not recommend a trip to Madrid or use of the metro there but I would recommend this hotel if you must travel there.

Hospitality is great, location is amazing, services are great, and the only downside is that the rooms are a bit cozy, especially if you are lucky enough to book one with twin beds pushed together (I'm assuming the choice is to be friendly to muslim travelers, as a bidet is also available). Our air conditioner leaked the whole time we were there though so we had to keep a pile of towels by the front door at night. Not ideal, but at least it wasn't broken in the 90 degree weather!

Hotel Atlantic was very central and right across the road from the metro station and shopping center. when we arrived early the first morning we were treated very well by the hotel staff. The room was spotless and well equipped. Bathroom was spacious, shower had good power.

The hotel staff and the rooms were great but if booking with the hotel itself it is very expensive for what you get. I got cheaper prices by booking online and was very satisfied with my stay. The staff gave great advice of what to see while in the area and made the stay even more worthwile!

The hotel was alright. The service was fine and the front desk people were very helpful. The breakfast room was nice and had a good breakfast for additional eight Euros. The hotel was also very close to shopping areas, but the area seemd to be the the bad part of town. The ladies of the night hostled in front and the side street of the hotel all night long.

Based on reviews I had read online, I had expected much more from this hotel. I found it to be much smaller than I anticipated with decor a little dated. Though, I would definitely recommend the hotel based on it's location, pricing and lovely rooftop bar.

Ten of us spent three nights over August Bank Holiday weekend at the Atlantico. The hotel is right in the heart of Madrid, we are all seasoned travellers and are accustomed to using public transport when on holiday but this time everywhere we wanted to go was walkable. We had booked five basic rooms but they said the hotel was very busy (it didn't appear to us to be so) and most of us were upgraded. We were all very happy with our rooms though some said theirs was on the small side. We were given a room adapted for disabled customers and it was fantastic, the bathroom was beautifully tiled with a great shower, bidet and specially adapted sink, the bathroom alone was bigger than some hotel bedrooms I have been in. We had no view from our window which initially we were a bit disappointed, however some of our friends who had front rooms said that on Friday and Saturday night the police sirens never stopped and revellers were in the street all night until 6.30 in the morning. So definitely ask for a courtyard view or take some good earplugs. The breakfast was good value if you like a hearty breakfast, lots of choice with a table set aside with sugar free alternatives. The staff were all very pleasant and more than willing to help, even with some impromptu Spanish lessons. All in all a very nice hotel offering excellent value for money in a great location for those looking to do the tourist Madrid - would definitely return and recommend.

Fantastic location,definitely recommend this hotel.The metro station is just outside.The bar on the 9th floor with a view of gran via is gorgeous. The room is a bit noisy from the traffic but still got a good nights sleep.

Hotel is right in the center of Madrid and in very close proximity to all the major attractions. Nice, clean, quiet rooms and great price. Only downside is that the bed was not very comfortable.

The location on Grand Via is good but if you want a quiet location this isn't the place for you...

The location can't be beat! Convenient to Parque Retiro, Plaza Mayor, Plaza del Sol, Plaza Espana, etc. etc. as well as Metro and bus. Add to that an excellent, friendly staff and very clean, well appointed rooms and you have a place for a great stay. Breakfast buffet was availablei n a very nice, bright room that overlooks Gran Via. The lounge on the 9th floor was a nice place to relax and have a drink. The lack of a resturant in the hotel wasn't an issue because there are a wide variety of restaurants at all price points available within a few steps of the hotel.

The staff were very helpful, the room was clean, the bathroom massive. The hotel is situated in a very convenient location, in the heart of Madrid on Gran Via. Our window was not on the main street so we could sleep well at night.

Family 4 day stay here in mid August - outside temp. was hot so returning to a nice air conditioned hotel and hotel room is a must and this hotel was 'cool' . Staff very friendly and very helpful. The hotel has a lovely relaxing lounge and outside terrace on the 9th floor - perfect to have a relaxing hour. Location is very central to attractions and shopping and Madrid metro (which is excellent by the way) has a stop just beside the hotel. We had rooms fronting onto to Gran Via but windows can be completely shuutered at night time so street noise wasn't a problem. Highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel was excellent, staff were very helpful, the room was very comfortable. The lounge on the 9th floor was magnificent with views of Madrid and its surroundings.

The friendliness of staff, location, comfort of room, daily room cleaning and breakfast were all excelllent. The one negative is that, at the weekends, the street outside is noisy but this is probably the price you will have to pay in any of the hotels on the main streets. Nothing that earplugs or heading out for a few drinks yourself can't fix! I would definitely return here. Also the metro brings you from the airport to 100m from the hotel entrance.

Excellent hotel which is air conditioned and fully soundproof but right in the centre of the city....great bar on the 8th floor to relax. Service was fantastic and the staff were very friendly

This was a great location, right in the shopping district of Barcelona and very close to all the major sites, like El Museo del Prado, La Puerta del Sol, and el Palacio Real. The cafes nearby are also lovely!

Good location to access many of the sites. Good breakfast. Great view of city from roof-top terrace. Hotel is not plush or fancy but has everything you need and is very comfortable.

Staff is # 1 - especially front desk personnel. Rooftop cocktails are a must and only negative is off-site parking, but no one should drive in / to Madrid.

The Hotel Atlantico is a very, very good hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and completely renovated. Our room, big for Europe, with a balcony facing the Gran Via. The bathroom is modern and with an amazing shower. We would definitely stay there again.

If you are taking the complimentary shuttle from the Madrid airport please don't let the appearance of the shuttle fool you. The shuttle could use a little cleaning but the hotel is FABULOUS!!! They have a quaint rooftop lounge with really good drink prices, considering you are in Europe. Definely would visit Madrid and this hotel again!!!

I loved this hotel. The standard of the rooms and the service was excellent, and the ninth floor lounges and terrace area were stellar and a great feature. My room was excellent and there were a lot of little touches that made it special (I can't remember the last hotel I stayed in where the bed was turned down at night and chocolates were laid out for me!) Because it is on a very busy street I expected the hotel to be fairly noisy, but it was no worse than any other hotel. I had a room on the back which may have helped. The location is close to Sol and Plaza Mayor, and to Chueca. It is walking distance to the Prado and the Retiro and on major subway lines, The only reservation I would have about the area was the number of prostitutes working outside and nearby. I was propositioned every night and some of them were pretty pushy. If you were traveling with a family or a girlfriend/wife/spouse you might be bothered by that. Wi-fi is available on the first floor and the ninth floor - no password needed. Breakfast was 9 E a day extra and optional when I stayed there (July 2009) and consisted of a buffet with plenty of hot and cold food choices. It was worth it. All in all I was delighted by this choice and the hotel experience. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and they made my whole stay a pleasure.
