King bed, corner room with a couch. Room was clean, location was quiet and it had windows that opened. The bed was comfortable. The inclusion of breakfast is a bonus. Overall I would recommend.

My son and I enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean and spacious and we were not far from Mount St. Louis for skiing.

Nice, friendly staff. Really comfortable King bed........... Hair Drier (or outlet) did not work? Left with wet hair in the middle of winter. Breakfast area clean and plenty of choice for continental. Would stay again.

The room was clean, the bed was comfy. The jacuzzi definitely jacuzzed. Upgrading to get 2 full day lift tickets for $40 (ask about this) made the weekend!

"BEST WESTERN ROYAL OAK INN 35 HART DRIVE in Barrie"
I stayed at the Best Western Royal Oak Inn in Barrie on the 22nd to the 23rd. Front people are really friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The only problem that we had with the hotel room was that there was blood stains on a lot of the sheets and towels. Although everything was good i think that the bed sheets and comforters […] should be better cleaned. When we were ready to go to bed we saw that the comforter had blood stains and when we took the comforter off we saw that there was another blood stain on the sheets. When i took a shower the next day the towel also had blood. I hope that this was a rare occurrence but i do recommend that all sheets and towels be better checked for any stains. This could ruin people's experience at a hotel even though everything else was good. Les mer
"The Best Western Hotel in Barrie, Ont."
I would like to inform the management of this Hotel that I was not at all satisfied with the service - they got our reservation wrong, did not know when we were checking out, gave us a double room instead of a Queen and the worst incident was at 2.30 a.m. I was awakened by a Pizza delivery man looking for his customer. Obviously no verification was […] taken at Reception as to who had ordered the pizza - what name and what room No. which also made me anxious about security since he was able to enter the Hotel obviously without any verification as to where he was going. At even at checking out the staff still thought we had only stayed one night!!! Sorry but I found the Hotel very inefficient - the maid was more on the 'ball' than the Receptionists. Les mer
"Excellent value"
This hotel was perfect for our one night stay. Enjoyed the complementary continental breakfast. The hotel was easy to access off the 400. Only issue was the limited parking when the hotel is sold out and you arrived back at the hotel after midnight!

Overall good hotel, helpful staff, good breakfast. Was able to park at door. The drawback was cleanliness of the room. Not terribly dirty but dust in the corners of an upholstered chair and along baseboards always make me wonder just how much detail is put into cleaning.
Staff was great, room very comfortable and breakfast was good. Would stay there again

we booked through hotels.com and apparently when you book online you get to stay in the unrenovated wing or something. the outside looked like it had been recently updated but inside it definitely needs a facelift. overall, it was clean and quiet. might stay here again if im in the area. Wasnt awesome, wasnt terrible.
