Vi bodde der i 2 netter. Var litt for langt å gå til Santa Monica Beach, men bussen går rett utenfor og hotellet har shuttle-buss. Veldig hyggelige hotellansatte! Interiøret på rommene tilsvarer et 2-stjerners hotell.IHOP i 1 etg.

Enkelt og greit hotell, med fin beliggenhet i forhold til pris. 20 min gange til stranda og pieren i trygge og litt traffikerte omgivelser. Fin pris også, i fohold til det du må betale for å komme nærmere stranda.

Bra hotell som vi vil anbefale videre og benytte igjen. Store fine rom med et fint bad. Deilig med garasje i kjelleren som er gratis. Det er et lite stykke til strand, restauranter og butikker, men med bil er det ikke noe problem. Et av de mest prisgunstige hotellene vi fant i området.

The Best Western Plus Gateway Hotel was a great, convieniently located, and well priced option to stay in Santa Monica. 15 mins walk from 3rd st prominade, and beach, close to shopping areas/bus stops/car rentals and restaurants. I booked the hotel because of its proximity to the hospital where I was having surgery. The hotel fulfilled all my needs.

The staff were very friendly. The location was great as it is easy to get to and a great place from which to visit nearby sights. The bed was very comfortable. I just think the rooms look very uninspiring - they need some color. Otherwise a very nice hotel.

The hotel had free parking which is good because everywhere we went in Santa Monica parking was expensive. They also offer a free shuttle bus to take you to main area in Santa Monica which was useful. IHOP (Pancakes) is just across from the hotel so it is a great place to eat breakfast. I forgot my kindle in the room and was excited to know the housekeeper turned it in. They sent it to me hassle free....wonderful service.

Room was clean and very comfortable. I will stay again. This is the 2nd time we stay is walking distances to restaurants and shopping stores.

A great hotel if you are on a budget. Close to everything and an I-Hop right there. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

We were very concerned about security at the hotel. The parking garage was for IHOP and the hotel. The elevators in the garage were open to the public and went all the way to all floors of the hotel. We felt very insecure late at night under these circumstances, particularly because there was no security to be seen and there were many vagrants in the […] area. This BW location is the bomb! Just a few blocks to the beach and then head north to hit Hollywood and LA. The hotel staff were helpful and professional. There is an IHOP right beside the hotel. We will stay here again.

If you are looking for a clean, affordable hotel in the L.A. vicinity, this Best Western will do nicely. The decor is a dull beige and the rooms are a bit claustrophobic, but the location is convenient and safe.

The room was nicely renovated and staff were friendly and helpful -- easy check-in and check-out. My only warnings are that the hotel is in a fairly commercial neighborhood--lots of car dealerships and auto related stores, some fast food. We loved the hotel. We needed to add an extra room and they were very flexible and accommodating. The free hotel shuttle was a huge blessing( small tip) The shuttle dropped us off by the 3rd street Promenade & Santa Monica Pier and would arrive back at the time we scheduled, super great!! Good value for money, clean room and comfortable. Good parking arrangements, no need for a key to the car park. Quite a long way from the shopping areas but easy with a car.

Only negative comment I would make is that the bathroom could be better lit. Otherwise if you are looking for a clean, good value hotel in a good Santa Monica location this is the one. i stay for work so convenient for route10 to la. Hotel is reasonable price and ok for santa monica for tourists. I travel considerably and find best western good value esp for car park and internet, although the internet here is very slow.
