"Good value"
This hotel is in a good downtown location. It was clean and comfortable. The staff (esp. Megan) were friendly and helpful....and the hot chocolate in the the lobby was delicious!

The room was a great size, but the heat nor the internet did not work. When I made the reservations with Hotels.com, it indicated that there was breakfast included for both nights of my reservations. I receive a voucher to have breakfast for 1 morning in the the hotels restaurant which the service was horrible and the portion size of the breakfast was […] very small (egg, 2 pieces of bacon). "Magnuson in Bozeman"
Clean and comfortable. Could use my computer in the room. Close to everything. Nice staff. Only thing that was odd was when I used a water glass in the room, it was removed without being replaced. I would stay there again.

the room was large & comfy, clean but pretty worn out. didn't try the restaurant but there is no continental breakfast -- just coffee in the lobby. It was fine for a night's stay but nothing special..
Very convenient location, one of few hotels close to downtown. Hotel was clean and comfortable enough. Good price. However the room I stayed in did not have warm water in the shower.
"Great Location but shabby hotel"
This is the third time we have stayed at this hotel and although we love the location and appreciate the price, the hotel becomes shabbier each year. The beds were uncomfortable. The carpet desperately needs to be replaced. The size of the room is great but the furnishings are not. We will think twice about staying here again.

We've stayed at Magnuson many times over ten years. If you want luxury...it's not the place to stay. If you want clean, comfortable AND walkable downtown location, this is a very good choice. We like to stay in town on our travels and this is the only viable option. You can walk the town, shop, eat at any of the many restaurants, have a drink or two […] and WALK back and feel safe getting in a daily early morning walk throughout the wonderful town. Les mer

The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and it was great being able to walk around Bozeman without looking for a parking spot first. The room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. What more do you need?

The staff at the hotel are friendly and helpful. The room itself is dated, old creaky beds, smelled musty and not much air circulation. The price is good and walking distance to main street, if we had to spend more time in the room we would have requested a new room. The small pool was clean and the hot tub was welcome!

I can't really say anything bad about my experience, except the place didn't offer a continental breakfast. Otherwise, the place was fine, just an average hotel at a budget price. It was clean and had two beds, a TV and a decent shower.

The hotel is not aging very well, there were used towels hanging in the bathroom. Having said that the location to beautiful downtown Bozeman is absolutely wonderful. If you want to be able to walk downtown and enjoy the restaurants and bars this is the most convenient.

The Hotel has ample parking and is conveniently located in the city center, everthing is within walking distance. The hotel is reasonably clean, spacious and and a good central spot from where to schedule a host of excursions. We only spent one night, but I would recommend this hotel to friends.

"Convenience - 70s Charm"
Our room was large, the cost very reasonable. Not an architectural gem, unless you're looking for 70s nostalgia. Just a few blocks from the heart of downtown. The restaurant is hidden in the back where no one could possibly stumble upon it, but breakfast isn't included, so we didn't even walk in. "Manguson City Center"
Was pretty run down all in all, thought I would chance it b/c the price was so much cheaper than the chain hotels, but I pretty well got burned. Don't get me wrong, it was clean, but needs a major overhaul. The front desk help was nice, but the neighborhood was fairly sketchy. "Bozeman Hotel Noisy Air/Heat"
The Air conditioner had one speed and was very noisy. We rented two rooms and they were both this way. The Heat light in the bath room, on a timer switch, would not go off. Stayed on all night. Also: it should be noted to park on the East Side, no access until you have a room key on the West side. For the price it should be better.

Allow me say that during summers I stay at a variety of hotels due to traveling softball tournaments. The 1st thing I noticed was the staff ( desk and housekeeping) were not only friendly, but very accommodating regardless of the request. The room was perfectly acceptable as were the rates. Very close to downtown BZN able to walk to campus, stores, galleries, grogery and restaurants. Hotel is OLD but very clean and everything worked well. Staff was friendly and helpful.

"Magnuson Grand City Center"
Place reeked of cigarette smoke everywhere. Several days after leaving the hotel, my clothes still reeked of smoke. Plenty of electrical outlets but majority didn't work and I was unable to charge cellphone, Nook, or camera battery.

This is an older hotel but we were very comfortable. Rooms had a microwave and small fridge. Beds were comfortable. Toilet overflowed during night but they sent someone to unplug it and clean up mess. We would stay there again and would recommend it to others. Resturant was good.

During the summer season you need more wait staff. Both times eating breakfast only one waitress was on hand and she was overwheldomed. Lack of staff meant waiting for coffee 10 minutes and your food for 20 minutes which forced several guest to "walkout"! Lunch was a little better but slow waiting for your food. Front desk was wondeful( CARLY and JOE). […] Hint,get a local brewery to furnish bottle openers for the rooms for the microbrews people purchase. Carly " loaned " me her opener which was wonderful and trustworthy of her. Having retired from a major airline and knowing what a "attaboy" letter can mean to a person she deserves one! Les mer
"Great hotel"
This was a great hotel and we enjoyed our stay. It was easy to find and the staff was wonderful. The parking lot is large, and accomodates many different size vehicles. The beds were comfortable and the sink outside of the bathroom was a nice feature. The city of Bozeman, Montana is beautiful! Thanks for making our stay so pleasant.

We stayed with magnuson grand stays in july for my sisters wedding 2011. The staff were friendly with a good overall apperance! The place is really a great location right in town around all local culture. I also left my motorcycle in the drive 3 nights and my alarm didnt even go off! Great job thanks for the good time. Bozeman is a wonderful place to visit and the Magnuson Grand City Center has about the best location in town for Main Street exploring. This was especially important since I was in a wheelchair due to a broken ankle. We were within walking (pushing) distance of restaurants, shops and other entertainment. The Front desk personnel for the hotel during […] our week there were helpful, friendly and full of energy. Drawbacks? No refrigerator in the room for medications or snacks. This is an older hotel in downtown Bozeman, MT. Our room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was small and the sink area was also small. We enjoyed our stay and had a nice breakfast in their restaurant before checking out. We would definitely stay again.

"Great service"
We purchased a room for 2 separate nights (one going to Yellowstone and another a few nights later coming back). We paid for a queen suite (2 queen beds and a sofa) and got that our 1st night. It was a nice size room and very clean. The beds weren't the most comfy, but still nice. The 2nd time we came through, we were surprised by a DELUXE suite or […] whatever it was called. 2 queens in the main area, dining table, desk and then a separate room with a queen bed and tv. All this for the same price as before, which was still WELL below the cost had we called the hotel. So, go with hotels.com and pay through them. It will be cheaper and only a mile off the freeway. Great service at the front, clean indoor pool. bath & body works toiletries... All great. If we ever go through Bozeman again, we'd definitely stay there! Les mer

good hotel,clean and big room. but the bad thing is that there is a casino and it's pretty noisy in the lobby at night, but overall the hotel was great
