We were expecting to stay only 1 night but was enjoying it so much we stayed another. Tony, the front desk supervisor made our trip! That's the only place we are going to stay in Islamorada.

We stayed here for 4 nights in April 2012 and had booked into a king lanai which we now understand is a room on the very bottom floor which opens straight out onto the beach. However, this did not open out onto the beach, it opened out onto some grass and we had 2 bushes obscuring our view. The room was incredibly small, dark and dingy and felt very […] basic so we were very disappointed. We went back to reception immediately and asked to change rooms and we allocated a room in the same block (2) which was twice the size and had 2 double beds, felt very spacious and light and had a stunning view. The staff we incredibly accommodating and it was fuss free. . The pool was cold The grounds are very clean and well kept. If you are looking for a fine dining experience, you need to get in the car and head out. The raw bar felt like a Macdonalds. Rumrunners bar was good, the barman is great, however the draught beer ran off on day 2 and we were forced to drink the canned stuff instead. The day before we left was a Saturday and it seems that this hotel is a weekend break resort and so the peace and quiet of the resort disappeared and was replaced by the noise of groups of people who wanted to cut loose for a couple of nights. Great if that is what you want, but we came to relax and not listen to woops and hollers from groups of people who come armed with trunks full of spirits. Les mer

Nice hotel, just be aware with a tiki bar on site, the party can go all night and you can certainly hear it. They will move you though if the noise is a problem, clean place, nice inside, beautiful view, no complaints.

The Postcard Inn at Holiday isle is a cute hotel. It's probably someplace I would recommend more quickly for an out of season stay. It is nice that you don't have to go off property, they have multiple places to get food and a beach, but you can if you need to. The walls are pretty solid in the building we stayed in so we didn't hear our next door neighbors, […] but we could hear every footfall and drawer opening in the room above us. The staff was not unfriendly, but only one person went out of his way to help me get our luggage up some steps, let alone say hi. Les mer

Rooms - if you are in building 1 or 2 the rooms are nice. Location - one of the best you can find in keys. Terriroty - 3 restorants/bars. Good choices. Nice and convinient. Beach - small but nice. Pool - Convenient, clean, and nice overall.

Great location. Nice lanai kng size room overlooking the beach. The room was clean with a double shower. Lots to do. My husband and i drove down for our anniversary and it was great. It provided a very casual, laid back, relaxing getaway. We swam in the heated pool, got some sun, rented kayaks and jet skiis. Nice stay, more of a party criwd atmosphere. Outsode pool is great and access to manyfood and drink venues. Not enough outlets in the room though and dual shower heads was interesting.

We were given a bungalow room that took us 20 minutes to find. We had to use a flashlight and walk down a small dark alley which appeared that it couldn't possibly be part of the property. There was absolutely no security lighting. We were happy to wake up alive and our car not stolen. Very complete hotel with lots of food/drinks/activity choice. We were in a portion of the hotel complex that was in need of an update though. When you opened the front door you hit one of the beds, We asked for and got a small kitchen but there was no microwave. Nothing bad to say about this place. Loved the beach and the bars in the resort, especially liked the on site Paddleboard rentals and the fact that it is a dog friendly resort. Many "dog friendly" places scare me but this place is extremely clean and well maintained. My dog and I will be back.

Visited the Postcard Inn on a Monday early March. The facilities were clean and the staff courteous. Really, what else do we need? We spent only one night but would have loved to have more time in the Keys and at the Postcard Inn. A beautiful location!

My kids had an awesome time, the pool was nice, they have a ping pong table which my son love, a small beach that wasn't very crowded, the food is good and my hotel room was very nice too.The staff was nice and helpful. We'll definitely come back again.

Checked in around 10pm and Tony was ready to check me in! We were given a great roomy suite with our own patio. Shula's Burgers has a location in front for breakfast... Excellent overall.

There is a GREAT shop next to the Tiki Bar with top-quality clothes. It is REALLY rare for me to shop for myself, let-alone get excited about shirts that are $50-70/each. But I did here. Only complaint is that it is 82 miles to Key West from PostCard....

We had a very comfortable room which was clean and had stunning views. We were taken by surprise at the extra resort charge. This was not mentioned at the time of booking. Great evening at the tiki bar with live music and friendly staff.

Up dated, lovely hotel! Much to do in the surrounding area, although two hours to Key West.

This hotel is not an Inn. It is not for a family vacation. It is for a party group! If you're with a group that wants to party, then this place is for you. If you have kids, stay away.

Stayed here for 4 nights over Presidents Week in Feb 2012. Enjoyed the location. The heated pool was nice to dip into. Overall condition was OK. Some of the paint was faded, and or dirty, but it didn't distract too much. Room quality was average - nice appearance but on the smaller side (had a king bed room) - and the sheets were rough. AC was loud […] but managed to keep us cool at night. The staff was very friendly, and attentive. Location was great for our purposes - fishing. Stayed at a smaller resort a few years back, and liked this better. More options for hanging out, enjoying the beach, and bar options were not bad. Did not find our breakfast at Shulas (their onsight option for breakfast) to be a good choice. Drive down the road to Mangrove Mike's if you want a better option. Not a lot of people during the week we were there. Les mer

Every time we had questions to the front desk staff they treated us very impolite and arrogant. Except this we enjoyed our stay at Post Card Inn.

This hotel is outdated. There was not any place to put your clothes and the hotel room was small and old. It may be better if you stay in the new rooms but forget about the old ones. It is like a college place. The outside location and tiki bars were great but if it rains and you get stuck inside it is awlful. Would not recommend this place to anyone […] over 40. Les mer

We originally booked another property in Key West, but then thought to change - to be in a little more "away from it all" location. Postcard was perfect, in many ways. At the same time quiet, removed, peaceful, private, and understated - this property is located within minutes of loads of great things to do! The Theater of the Sea is a short walk away, […] as is a great fishing spot by the bridge. The Lanai room with walk-out beach was a nice touch...awesome sunrises on the open ocean. NOTE, the beaches are not soft & lux sand, but rather crushed coral/shells...a bit crunchy. There are many restaurants nearby, some better than others...find the locals. Some onsite outlets were closed, which disappointed a bit, but the Raw Bar, Tiki Bar, Rum Runners, Marina, etc were open & had really great folks there to take care of your every want. Perfect spot, 2hrs to Key West & 2hrs to Ft. Lauderdale. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat & have already suggested Postcard to friends who will be visiting in a few weeks...without hesitation. I would recommend this hotel if you're going to Key West and want to break the trip up instead of driving the whole way in one day. It's a lovely location on the beach but the hotel itself is a little tatty. I think they're trying to improve on it. The lobby is nice as is the sitting area. There are things to do like play ping pong, games and read in […] the nice sitting area. The beach side is beautiful, the sitting area is nice as is the pool. The bars were filled with a young drinking crowd. At night the lights on the beach are very pretty and have lots of ambiance. Surrounding restaurants are difficult if you're a vegetarian. Shop with scuba never opened the morning we wanted to use it - waited up to an hour after opening time and no one showed up. Hotel rooms are small and unless you're right on the beach, not much to look at outside, no view. Seemed a bit expensive for what it was and when we were checking in another person came to inquire about price and they were given a much lower price than what we paided on this sight. Just happened to find this hotel and never knew what to expect. The location is fantastic and the Holiday Isle Resort has, probably, one of the best beach waterfronts on all the Florida Keys. However, it wasn't everything as smooth as we desired. There are four buildings connected with this hotel. Two of them have GREAT rooms and views and the other […] two buildings TOTALLY SUCK!!! Upon our arrival we're given a room in the Building 3. Horrified we discovered a room just a bit larger than a shoebox. No matter the king size bed. There was no view what so ever and everything looked very bleak. We just couldn't imagine staying there. We went and talked to Tony G., the front desk man, a wonderful guy who immediately changed our room to the building # 2, right on the beach, two large beds, refrigerator and - no kidding - about THREE TIMES larger than the first room. We just couldn't believe the difference. Needless to say, the whole "color" of our stay changed immediately. So, FOREWARNING: Totally steer away from the Building # 3 and Building # 4. Main Building # 1 and # 2 are great, great view, right on the ocean. Everything else is unacceptable. Happy Vacationing! Les mer

This place is a great stop on the way to Key West, Nice set up with all the buildings and amentities surrounding the Atlantic ocean. They mis-represent the number of retaurants in the compound. They said that they have 5 when really they have 1. Shula's Burger. (did not eat there) took a ride up RT # 1 for a meal. The Tiki Bar is a fun distraction. […] The place was practically empty when we stayed in the begining of February and they gave us a room in the back overlooking the gas station. I think that this is based upon our Hotels.com discount. Basically the discount evaporates with the taxes & resort fees. This would have been a good time for the Inn to upgrade our room to one of a better location and view. They refused. I cannot blame the staff, they were doing Les mer

hotel was nice, good beach for area, great heated pool, and plenty of activity. nice restaruants on sit and surrounding area. was given upgrade. oceanfront is recommended, nice balcony. lanai nice and larger than balcony, but to close to people walking by.

Stayed at the Postcard Inn Jan 30 - Feb 3, 2012. The hotel renovations are great! The pool, Tiki bar and Rum runners are all at your disposal. Very handy having the Chevron out front. Shula Burger in the parking lot didn't disappoint. Great proximity to the marina for Fishing charters.

I go to Islamorada 3/4 times a year. 20+ years ago Holiday Island was the "Party Place" Over the years it became run down and never addressed. There where reports years ago of developers purchasing it and turning it into high end condo's. Like the economy all of that got washed down the toilet. This recently purchased property now reports an 11 mil. […] dollar reno, that as far as I can see, just touts new paint, flooring and furniture.For the price point they are at, there are much better places to go Les mer

We were satisifed with our overnight stay at the Postcard Beach Inn and Resort. Although the building and room were older, it was clean and roomy. We were very pleasantly surprised with the brand new fluffy towels. The front desk clerk and manager were very welcoming, friendly, and helpful.

Walked through the door of the hotel to be met by a very friendly and helpful staff in a newly reconditioned building after driving through a very nice property with beautiful beaches and what looked like an excellent facility. Upon arriving at my room, it was almost like someone had played a joke on me. I was looking for a candid camera somewhere. […] No such luck. I do not want or need the Ritz-Carlton, and that was not my expectation. But a dump is a dump. The carpet was stiff and disgusting. The curtains did not cover the sliding glass door so privacy was an issue. The refrigerator did not work and the water and other items I had brought with me after seeing that a refrigerator was in each guest room remained hot. The bathroom was bizarre with a tiny shower stall and ultra low flow showerhead. Did I mention the bed; it was lumpy. Importantly, there was what seemed to be a major security issue regarding the orientation of the front door of my unit. It faced the northern most perimeter of the property and was not only perhaps three feet away from the fence separating this form another hotel, but the view was completely obstructed, facing away from the remainder of the property and seemed to be a red flag in terms of break in and assault potential. In total, the tiki bar was really nice and the server was helpful. I left with a bad taste in my mouth and do not feel as though I have unfairly characterized any element of my stay. Worst night’s sleep, worst hotel experience for this frequent traveler since the hostels of Amsterdam. Les mer

We liked the oceanfront location of the hotel. However, VERY disappointed with the condition of the building where our standard room was assigned -- really run down, dirty, musty smell, facing the parking lot! We asked to upgrade to an oceanfront room -- which was in the main building...reno'd and in MUCH better condition. WATCH OUT for the daily resort […] fee that wasn't mentioned on the website!! Otherwise, lovely location and beautiful view. Not a great value by the time you add everything up. Les mer

Very nicely remodeled hotel. Right on the beach. On site restaurants and bars very reasonable. Would like to revisit someday.

Wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy everything they had to offer.

when I booked this hotel I asked your booking agent if the price included the resort fee and parking. She stated that the price I was paying included all cost.. The hotel did not agree with this and told me I had to pay a $15 per day resort fee. You need to get this straight with your workers.
