Great location, friendly folks, all basics covered--including a good bar & restaurant down below, along with their tunes. We'll return for sure.

A local friend recommended Ace as an affordable alternative to a nearby conference hotel. It exceeded my expectations. I could only get a shared bath. I picked a room in the hallway with several baths. It was small with a sink and an air shaft view, which worked for me since I was rarely in the room during daylight. The bathrooms were incredibly clean […] and modern. I never had to compete with anyone for a bath - usually had my pick of 5 to choose from. Excellent staff and very convenient to Belltown area of Seattle. However,, it is located on a busy street and over a popular bar.

I checked into Ace on a Friday afternoon so I could be close to pier 69 to catch an early morning whale watching tour on Saturday. The hotel staff were very nice and helpful. I was extremely impressed with them. Unfortunately my room was directly above a night club so the noise was deafening until the place closed and all the partiers got off the street […] at about 3am. The room was very hot and stuffy, but I couldn't open the window because the night club noise was even louder with it open. I could find no air cond switch of any kind. I was exhausted for my tour. Great spot! Minutes walking distance from Pike's Place, Seattle Art Museum, Space Needle, and Aquarium. Amazing room, friendly staff, this is one of the best locations to stay when visiting Seattle.

Both people working the front desk were exceptional. They were very gracious, helpful and informative (and I ask a lot of questions).

I liked the place but I got the room with the shared bathroom. Staff were super cool. The location is very convenient to all the shops and buses to capital hill and surrounding areas is easy. Would recommend.

We had a lovely stay, my second. The hotel is very stylish and full of character. The desk clerks were so nice and helpful, offering their help loading our bags and telling us anything we needed to know about our surroundings. The room was a little stale, but a few candles and the popcorn they provided solved that quickly. I'm sure that is a difficult […] thing to avoid with an old building in such a wet part of the world. Convenient, inexpensive hotel with unique interior design. The only aspect of the hotel I found disappointing was with the size fo the standard room - it was quite small. The Ace hotel was such an alternative place to stay. There is an instant vibe from the first minute you get there. The desk clerks were SO helpful and informative. They were always happy to have a chat and had knowledge of everything in seattle. The room was very clean, batherooms were even cleaner! The staff was really nice and the hotel is super cute! The bathrooms are really clean and the breakfast was good. If your over the age of 35 I would pick a different hotel to stay at. The hotel and area is more for the young looking to have a fun night out. Can't wait to go back!

I've stayed here before and will stay again. Right in the heart of the city with plenty of great restaurants and shops close by. Louder at night so you'll want to either bring your favorite ear plugs, or use those provided by Ace. Shared bathroom is no big deal at all! Always plenty of clean bathrooms available. I also like the breakfast!

The Ace Hotel is located in Belltown, a very trendy area of Seattle that has plenty of good restaurants and a lot of bars. It's only a short walk from Downtown, about 8 blocks, and there are a number of nearby buses. The only downside was that the windows let a lot of noise in, and the sound of rubbish trucks going up and down the road at 6am was very loud in our room. Ace hotel was very convenient for me, especially for a first-timer is Seattle. As a tourist, I visited the major attractions (i.e. Space Needle, EMP, Aquarium, International District, etc) and they were all within walking distance and/or a 5-15 minutes (free) bus ride. In addition, the service was good; receptionists were helpful with providing maps […] and directions to places I need to visit. I stayed in one of the room right above the bar and it was a bit noisy at night when I tried to sleep; however, the room was clean and cozy. Due to the location of the room, the kitchen was 3-floors below, which was a bit inconvenient, but bearable. Breakfast was good, especially the freshly-made waffles. I would definitely stay at Ace Hotel again when I'm in town, but will try to get a room further away from the bar. Les mer

This hotel won't be right for everyone. We loved it though, it's very simple. You turn up, check in and they leave you to it. Positives: really clean, I liked the decoration, no hassle, breakfast was limited, but unusually for the US theybhad fresh fruit available, not too far to walk to the sights, CHEAP!! Downsides: there were only two things that […] let this hotel down. It was hot. Really hot, and no air con. Admittedly we were in the middle of an unexpected heat wave, but still too much for me. Have to say I like a cold room though so could be subjective. The other thing was the noise on the Saturday night from the bar downstairs. It was fine on the Sunday and Monday, but carried on to the early hours that first night. There are a couple of other things that didn't bother me, but might worry others. I was happy with the shared bathrooms, took a bit of getting used to walking round in a robe, but then I realised people pay hundreds to go to spa hotels to do exactly that!! The bathrooms were spotlessly clean as well. And it meant that my husband and I could get showered at the same time, which saved a few minutes and I didn't get annoyed waiting for him!! The bedroom was pretty small, like a double in a modern house in the UK. We travel light and it was just about OK for three nights, but no more. I think US guests would be horrified, based on what I've read in other reviews (apologies to any small-room loving US travellers out there!). Overall, I thought this was a fab hotel for the money, and would def recommend it for a mid-week break. Wish We were staying at the sister hotel in Portland now! Les mer

Ed checked us in and made us totally comfortable. Rooms were simple and clean, showers and bathrooms down the hall were very clean as well. Located in Bell Town so walk to Pikes Market, Olympic Park ,Pioneers Square,Space Needle and losts of trendy bars and cafes. Staff totaly helpful and friendly, Enjoy!

The hotel was very comfortable and close to many attractions; Pike Place, the waterfront, ferries, Seattle Center, and good restaurants.

Man, the Ace was a cool place to stay. I'm not really a hipster, but even so, I dug this place's personality. It has everything you'd want in a hotel and none of the things you don't need. If sharing a bathroom bothers you, this might not be the place (although by sharing they mean 5 or 7 extremely clean, private, and functional bathrooms right down […] the hall from rooms. They even give you bathrobes to make the walk). Ace is right in the heart of town, but safe and fun. Noise from the street below might be a little problem for light sleepers, so set the fan to run and drown it out with white noise. The staff are super helpful and offer great tips on the city AND a pretty tasty free breakfast in the morning. The price was significantly cheaper than anything of comparable quality in Seattle in the summer. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. Les mer

Staff were so friendly and the room was great - a welcome surprise. If I returned to Seattle I would try to stay here again if I could. The location was great - a short walk to all the main attractions.

The ACE Hotel in Seattle is amazing. The rooms are super modern and cool and the staff is extremely helpful. We had never been to Seattle before, so we were originally concerned with getting around, but the location of the ACE Hotel is perfect because we were able to walk everywhere. I highly recommend it.

This wasn't a hotel it was a hostel, with drunk teenagers running around half-naked at ngiht time and in the morning at breakfast. I have also emailed them 3 times to ask if they found my phone charger with no response. Disappointing stay, as location was great. Also reception desk guy did not know there was a public train service to the airport!!

This is hands down the most affordable hotel in Seattle and the coolest place to stay. If you're looking for a luxury hotel with tons of space, big TV's, and extra comforts -- do not stay here. You won't like it. But you will LOVE IT if you're open-minded, love staying at the hippest place in town, and want to be in the best neighborhood. Across the […] street you will find a Starbucks, Macina Bakery for breakfast, breads and coffee, El Gaucho Restaurant, the Big Picture movie theatre & bar, Cyclops Cafe & Bar right under the hotel, and so much more. You can walk to the Sculpture Park, Pike Place Market, and the Seattle waterfront is so close. You'll be in the Belltown neighborhood which is a quick 10-minute walk from the actual downtown part of Seattle. Belltown has much more nightlife and dining options so a much better choice than staying downtown. Yes, you will have "shared" bathrooms. By shared, you might picture dorm style bathrooms, but this it is definitely not. There are tons of bathrooms which are private rooms you can lock, which include a toilet, sink, and shower. I like privacy and cleanliness is a must for me, and I was totally happy with these bathrooms. We paid for 24 hour parking which cost $30 - steep! But if you come to town, consider public transportation. There is the light rail from the airport into town (or bus), and the bus system in Seattle is AWESOME... cheap, reliable, and easy to navigate. You won't regret staying here! We will definitely stay there next time we're in Seattle... our new favorite hotel! Les mer

This is a great option if you need a basic room -- and don't want to stay with friends. The staff is super-nice & helpful, and the location can't be beat. The stairs were a bit of a bummer with my luggage, as with going to the basement to the kitchen area. But hey, who doesn't need some extra cardio? I stayed in the front overlooking 1st Ave, so there *was* noticeable noise from the Cyclops Cafe downstairs. It was no better/worse than the street noise at my apartment in San Francisco. I slept like a baby all 4 nights I was there. If you are super-sensitive to the ambient noise of city living, then maybe choose a room in the back of the building. The Ace Hotel in Seattle, WA was an absolute delight! During my two weeks of traveling with my girlfriend, we stayed in 4 different hotels. The Ace Hotel was easily the best! From the design of the rooms/furnishings to the hotel staff to the overall atmosphere of the building, this hotel was great! The hotel is located close (walking distance) to just […] about anything that you'd want to see in Seattle. There are restaurants located within feet of the front door. And one thing that was particularly appreciated was the complimentary breakfast everyday until NOON! Most hotels are done with breakfast by 10:00am. This is vacation! I would like to sleep in occasionally. The hotel staff were very accommodating, knowledgeable, and friendly. For the listed price, this hotel provided for our needs beyond all expectations.

Unfortunately I got a room at the front of the hotel, which had a lot of noise as there was a bar downstairs. Earplugs were provided, but I still had trouble sleeping. The hotel is very well maintained and in a good location. The staff is onsite from 7am - 7pm, but are always available. This is not a luxury hotel, for those used to creature comforts, but if want great basics and a sense of community, it is awesome. The shared bathrooms are spotlessly clean, the rooms comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful.

I wanted to experience this local success story before I traveled to PSP to stay at their facility there. The place is quirky, clean, and very fun. The folks having breakfast downstairs at 11am with me were plesant and we had a great conversation. Loved the place.

Almost every aspect about the hotel was great. I wish it would have had AC, which would have been great during the hot nights we were there. Great location. Great people. Great look. Great service.

This hotel was lovely! Not only is it super trendy but they serve Stumptown coffee (best coffee I ever had - and I've had A LOT!) all day round but they also let you make your own waffles for breakfast in addition to creating a very comfortable homey environment. The only criticism I have is the fact that the room we were given was above a bar, and […] we stayed there on a Friday night so it was VERY loud. I loved the Ace Hotel! However, I would not necessarily recommend it for the business traveler who expects the usual perks with their hotel. The Ace is VERY conveniently located in downtown ( I walked to Capitol Hill in 25 minutes and everything else is way closer - Pike Street Market is five to ten minutes :D) and if you like a more unique hotel experience, […] this is a great hotel. My room was very nice, albeit somewhat Spartan-looking with a bare lightbulb from the ceiling, and what looked to be a photographer's lamp for a room lamp. The room was nicely furnished with flat-screen TV and bathrobes, besides the usual amenities like desk, towels, etc. The only complaints I have are: there is no handicap access, so you have to climb […] stairs to reach the front desk or go down to the breakfast/food area; there's a bar underneath the hotel, and at night (I only stayed there on Saturday nights), especially from 10:30 PM - 3:00 AM, it gets really loud and noisy, so I slept with ear plugs; and, there's no AC and no fans, so opening a window is your only option. Otherwise, it's a great hotel in a great location, close to the major Seattle tourist sights downtown and the piers. Les mer

Das Ace-Hotel in Seattle ist meiner Meinung nach sehr zu empfehlen, wenn man ein eher preisgünstiges aber trotzdem schickes und sauberes Hotel sucht. Die Zimmer (ich hatte Bad am Gang) sind nicht allzu groß, dafür sehr praktisch und auch schön eingerichtet. Mir gefiel die Kombination aus Edelstahl und Holz. Einige Kleinigkeiten waren sehr angenehm, […] z.B. Wasserfilter auf dem Zimmer oder das Frühstück im Preis inbegriffen, genauso wie kostenloses Wlan. Im Essraum waren auch tagsüber immer Kaffee und Obst kostenlos zum mitnehmen da. Zum Service muss man noch sagen, dass sie echt gute Tipps auf Lager hatten, wo man z.B. schön essen gehen kann. Als negativ würde ich die etwas laute Klimaanlage im Zimmer beurteilen. Man hätte sie aber auch abschalten können. Les mer

Asia harmitti kunnes pääsin hotelliin: todella kivat, modernit huoneet ja riittävästi suihku- ja WC-tiloja vaikka yhteisiä olivatkin. Aula ja yhteiset tilat oli sisustettu kivoilla vintage-jutuilla ja alakerran aamiaishuoneessa oli koko ajan tarjolla teeä ja hedelmiä. Lisäksi löytyi […] muita juomia ja pientä syötävää automaateista ja pesukone asukkaiden käyttöön. Aamiainen oli riittävä: jogurttia, hedelmiä, vohveleita, paahtoleipää, mehua, kahvia. Ympäristö oli täynnä pieniä ravintoloita ja baareja, joten valinnanvaraa ruoan ja juoman suhteen löytyi. Kaikki nähtävyydet kävelymatkan päässä.
