Admiral Inn by the Falls - Niagara Falls

So we ordered 2 rooms, and went to go choose them, 1 had the covers lifted, no towels, dirty floor so bad that we had to ask for a vacuum, there was water in the tub and the room itself had burnt out lights bugs and smelled reallllly bad. that was the room we didn't take. the so called honeymoon suite was horrible, same as the other room except we had […] our towels. the man who owned it was really nice and courteous but that didn't make up for the rooms. if you don't care where you sleep its OK, and it is about a 10 minute walk from everything. but i wont be going here again Les mer

Good location. Had to wait like 20 minutes to actually get someone at the Reception desk. No towels , had to ask for them, cheap towels. No hair dryer. Best thing of the hotel is the location. Good thing is the included parking.

Never go here it has a funny smell and it's old pay 40 or 50 bucks more somewhere else ....:(

Absolutely discussed! The breaker for our room had to be rest. Holes In the walls and shower walls. Water damage to celling above my door... Fire alarm falling off ceiling. Mold on walls molding around room falling apart. Drapes almost ripped off window . Blood stains on shower curtain replacing missing glass door as well as bed sheets... And room was […] equipped with folded dirty towels!! And used condoms behind the t.v. Absolutely discussing !!!!!! Les mer

We went in the room and it was cleanish. My wife pointed out, what looked like a couple pop spray stains on the walls, no telling what might have been in the carpeting. The wall of the shower stall was broken and a bit mouldy. The adjoining restaurant was also closed @3:00 pm on a Wed. afternoon? never will i stay there again...poorly taken care of and dirty...they didn't have the room I reserved and figured they could just give me a room with two queens in it. We chose this hotel for a week long stay (despite mixed reviews) based on the price and location. We were very pleased with the location. It was easy to get everywhere either walking or by bus and there were many places to eat within walking distance. It was close to Niagara falls and all the attractions We (two women) felt comfortable walking around […] at night. The room was spacious and we appreciated having the refrigerator, sink, microwave and coffee maker (including coffee). The room was clean but the decor left something to be desired. Great location. Within walking distance to Clifton Hill District, shops, restaurants, and the falls. We parked our car on the first night and only used it twice while in town. Room was basic, bed was comfortable, and very quiet. We stayed for 5 days at this motel. It Was my first motel experience and it was basic and cheap. The host were very accommodative […] and helpful. THE WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER STAYED! I'm not sure what room was in the photos... our carpets had food on it and everything was dusty. Two light bulbs were burned out, we could hardly see at night. The television had 5 channels... all of which were snowy! There were even bugs on the floor we had to keep our shoes on! We were told we would have a room […] with a view from our balcony... we didn't have a balcony and our view was of a closed up building, which we could see day and night because the curtains didn't close. We were told there was a pool... it was run down with 2 dead mice laying next to it. We were told we could have a microwave, we received one (dirty) and at 10pm... 5 hours later! The air conditioner was stuck on high, so we had to change it to heat on a 85 degree day/night... the room filled up with an awful burnt hair smell! The bed linens were soiled (I had my kids roll up in blankets from the car). There were no fitted sheets there were 2 flat sheets for a double bed, not a queen. The bathroom had urine on the wall and hair on the floor, the shower was full of mold and the curtain had holes in it. They gave us 2 towels for 4 people! I took pictures with my cell as proof! We called the front desk for house keeping... we were told no one was available. I asked if we could change rooms, we were informed they were booked (there were only 5 cars in the parking lot!) The only GOOD things I can say about the inn... 1. It was in walking distance of attractions 2. The parking was good 3. Free WIFI I DON'T RECOMMEND STAYING HERE! Pay double the amount and be clean and healthy! I have learned my lesson... I hope this helps! Les mer

We just left a cereal box on the table before we went to bed at night. We 've heard some noise at some point, then saw 2 mice going in and out of the box., behind the microwave, then back to the cereals box... disgusting! I was sory i did not pay a little more to stay at decent hotel!

The difference between sleeping outdoors & this place is only the roof & four walls. If you are looking for a lower than average dirty, insufficinet place to stay. This place is for you, there are bugs, they do not change the sheets or clean the room daily. They will come into the room when you are gone, to make sure, YOU, haven't done anything wrong. […] They won't clean the bathroom or vaccum the carpet. They will take the dirty towels but they won't replace them. They won't wipe down the walls, that have drippings from the last visitor. Ugh, we couldn't sleep because of the paper thin walls. The management isn't around on weekends. If your toliet backs up, as it happened to the neighboring room, you can call the police. The management does not splurge on any cleaning supplies. Oh yes, limited hot water, so if you sleep in............ you will be lucky to get a warmish shower. Les mer

We stayed for 2 nights at the Admiral. We weren't expecting much for the price and we weren't surprised. The rooms were tidy but far from clean and the bathrooms were disgusting. However the pool was great and the people helpful.

The room was in need of alot of work. The shower needed to be replaced. It was cracked and not clean. The toilet needed to be replaced. Stained and not flushing well. The carpet was badly stained. Walls in need of paint and the whole place in need of a real good cleaning. The mirrors had been wiped with a dirty cloth and left a terrible mess on them […] and the T.V. Had to ask four times for towels. No washcloths in room. Just two towels for the tub. Smaller ones. There was no one there in office when we left at 10:00am doors locked. We were told that this place also came with breakfast, that it did not. Not happy at all with the place. I would consider it more of a very low end place. Any reviews we read about it being a good place are not true. Do not keep this on your site as a place to stay. Les mer

This hotel is terrible in dirt and cleanliness. The carpet has lots of dirt build up, the bed linens are stained, the honeymoon suite room has a bad smell. We asked for a new beddings and to clean the carpet, no one came to our room at all. We left after one night instead of our 2 nights reservations. This is a BAD experience ....DO NOT include it in […] your hotel list. I WILL NEVER recommend it to anyone. Les mer

this hotel is located only minutes away from the falls, but definitely not worth anything. there were flies in the room, and misquitoes, also we had the honeymoon suite, which was not private at all because the front window curtain was broken. This was the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. I cannot believe that ur service would even have this hotel listed as a place to stay. The 2 star rating was warranted. \ We had guest visiting from overseas and it was an embarassment...but because we were only there for one night..we thought we would be fine.>>>NOT!! I do not usually write reviews, however this hotel was such a disappointment that I am obligated to for other travelers' sake. The staff from the receptionist, manager and cleaning staff were rude, not courteous and when asked for service of our room for the second time (at 5 pm) two days in a row - , they acted like we were putting them out. This was […] to be a honeymoon vacation, therefore we reserved the "honeymoon suite" with the heart shaped jacussi tub. Needless to say that the tub was filthy when we checked in, mildo and residue, the shower was so dirty that the former guest wrote dirty in the dirt on the wall of the shower and was there for the duration of our 3 night stay. The bed with one sheet and bedspread was filthy - the mattress was black - the solution - the hotel added a foam mattress on top of the rotting mattress. As our finanaces were limited we could not check out of this hotel. We actually had to call hotels.com and put in a complaint against the hotel and ask for a rebate. The wife and I consulted other guests and they were of the same opinion as us and they too were stuck with this hotel due to vacancy availability in Niagra Falls during the summer. I did not expect the Ritz Carelton, but I would have appreciated a clean room, bed, courteous service and cleaning service at least once a day - we didn't get this in 3 days. All the pictures of the Admiral Inn on their web site are very deceiving. Our second night at the hotel, the staff were actually partying until 3:30 in the morning - not professional. Anyhow, the wife and I did appreciate the expert and professional service that we received from hotels.com and I will continue to use and recommend them to others. Worst experience ever!!!!!! The room was filthy,bathroom a disgrace,beedsheets and towels not fit for my dog. To topp it off..... Bed infested with bedbugs. The hotel is not clean at all. The service is not good. They didn't respond to what we needed. We booked two seperated rooms and it ended with a joint room wiht a door in between. They said there would be another key for my parent to be in and out their room using another door. However, no key available after we accepted the room. We did pay two rooms […] fees and ended up with only one joint room. Eventually, the server came to change our sheet because some hiars and one buck on it. Les mer

AT FIRST WE WERE NOT GIVEN THE ROOM [ I.E. FAMILY ROOM ] WHICH WE BOOKED ONLINE. INSTEAD, WE WERE GIVEN TWO ROOMS SIDE BY SIDE WHICH WE ACCEPTED. HOWEVER CONDITION OF ONE OF THE ROOM WAS PATHETIC. WASHROOM WAS VERY DIRTY. LOCATION OF OUR ROOMS WERE NEAR THE GARBAGE DISPOSAL. HENCE THERE WAS CONTINUOUS BAD SMELL ALONG WITH FLIES & MOSQUITOS.

The Admiral Inn is a great location and price for a large family. The rooms, however, are quite disgusting. Some do not even have a place to hang up clothes. We endured our stay, but I would not recommend it. The staff, however, was very courteous and even went out of their way to switch our room

Reserved online but once there it was a nightmare. The place is old, dirty, it smells funny, writing on the walls. Run by Indians (not the ones with bingo) who don't care. If your visiting the falls, It's not neccesary to stay AT the falls. A 20 minutes drive to St-Catherines will do the job. is just as simple as this: * no telephone in the room. * Restaurant??? Idk where it was. * coffee maker?? Microwave??? The location of this hotel is so good! only 6 minuts walk and you stand on the Canadian side of the falls - which is so beautifull. The hotel could use some opdates and a loving hand.. The honeymoon room has a heartshaped jacuzzi, which is kind of nice.

When we first arrived they had issues opening the door with the card. We had to wait several minutes while they tried. They finally gave up and got the master key for the motel. The carpet was not cleaned at all. You could see crumbs and roaches (weed) on the ground underneath the bed, behind the dresser and in the corners of the room. The washroom […] had mildew on the tiles. Flies and spider webs were in the washroom . I didn't even take a bath and waited till the next day when I got home. The fridge in the room was warm and the microwave worked. We did not feel clean in that room and spent most of the time out of the room. I would suggest the staff take more time cleaning the room. It was what I expected for the price. Unfortunately I had to leave a day early, so my 3 night price was for 2 nights.

old grab motel, like other motels in niagara area.. pool was not open altough we were there in hot beginning of June. In the room the bedroom lights did not work, you could not lock the bathroom door. insects found dead in bathroom, one was smacked to the wall.. so apparently no good cleaning done.. will not go again, was not even so cheap via hotels.com. Otherwise […] service was good and personel nice, they let us to keep another car in their parking slot and overal were serving us well. However the hotel condition is really too bad, hope they do some renovations soon (I think one room was under work). Les mer

This place is a hole, I regret cheaping out and will not be returning here. The price may look great and the photos might make it look alright, but go somewhere else.

TERRRRIBLE. I hardly say bad things about Hotels....becos I only sleep in when necessary. This is the worst place I'd ever been to. I got there and no one was there to answer or check me in.......That wasthe begining of the story!!! Horrible experience!

I searched in this neighborhood and can not find any location for the the rate what admiral inn has offered. Friendly staff, good service. Recommended for couple night stay and enjoy the night life of Clifton hill, Falls view and Niagara.

This was the Worst Customer service I have ever had in any hotel. People were smoking weed next room with the door open. and hotel staff was cool about it. Bathroom was horrible, even a $20 cheap motel will have a better bathroom than that! and the hotel is about 1 mile from the falls.

The hotel staff were very polite and friendly and even were flexible enough that they agreed to hold a package at the front desk for me that a friend in the city was picking up while we were out of the room. Downside was there were holes in the walls, blood stains on the bed box-spring, hardly any wall outlets, phone just laying on the floor, the drapes […] and rods were falling off the walls, there was no hairdryer so I had to wait around an hour for my hair to dry before leaving the room, and the room was colder than the fridge/freezer was. The location was very good it was walking distance from Clifton Hill, the falls, the casino and many other great options. If you are going there simply to get drunk and pass out, do it, it's the cheapest hotel for the proximity to the bars. But if you're going there with a family or for a romantic evening... spring for the Marriott. Les mer

It was one of the worst hotel I ever seen. Room condition was very bad with no wardrobe, worst toilet, worst beddings. It is really difficult to explain the badness of the hotel. Hotels. com should not include these hotels in its list.

You get what you pay for. One window lock was broken and they did not care. The floor carpet very much needed a change over. The room smelled of very old tobacco and the A/C was very noisy. The beds had been used one time to many.

This hotel was a good location. About two blocks from skylon tower and there was nice little path that led down to the falls. Plenty of places to eat nearby. The room was clean, but it smelled like chewing tobacco. Don't expect to get a refrigerator, phone, or coffeemaker like they say you will. If you ask customer service about it you might get one […] of the three. You only get about 10 clear channels on the "cable" tv. I would only recommend this hotel if you want a place to sleep and that's it. Les mer

It is a cheap hotel for sure but durtie,we sleep on top of the blanket did not move it .the bottom mattress just looking at it doest not make you want to sleep on it.the locatio is great .my firdge had tape and paper towell to hold the side for pepsi .my sister did the same thing plus the wi-fi did not work she had no phone plugs did not work.otherwise […] am not going there again .
