The hotel was very clean and the staff extremely helpful. The view from the room wasnt the best, but I came to go to the beach not sit in a room. We would definitely stay there again. The ammenities were great too.

STAYED IN A CONDO, HAD TO HAVE BEEN BETTER AT MOTEL 6 . iT SMELLED OF MOLD AND MILDEW. THE CARPET WAS DIRTY AND UNVACUMED. IT WAS DUSTY.

When we arrived at our hotel, the lobby gave us the impression that it would be a rather luxurious hotel. After a lengthy wait in line to get checked in, we went to our room. We were disappointed with the condition of the hotel. It looked old and the halls had a musty smell to them. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Wonderful time, Kids had a blast , close to beach , pools ok-play time for kids , GREAT!!!!!!!!!

The only complaint that I have is that we ended up with a room on the rooftop of the ice skating ring. The room had a balcony we could not use because that is where the birds would hang out. There was bird poop all around and even though people are told not to feed the birds, the people in the rooms above threw food down and we ended up with food dropping […] out side our balcony door and a bunch of birds surrounding. Other than that the hotel was nice, the room itself was nice and spacious and the hotel is in a great location. I would recommend this hotel and I would stay there again. Just make sure you aren't on the 5th floor roof top. Les mer

I have been vactioning in O.C. and at the DE beaches my whole life (I'm a 43 year old father of two pre-teens). My son and I stayed at Carousel this summer and really enjoyed being able to walk to the beach, the restaurants, mall and other places that were so close. The beds were small (two doubles in the room) so if my wife and duaghter were with us, […] it would have been a bit cramped. Only one negative: I notices small fruit flies in the bathroom and then around the kitchenette area. I can;t stand a room with any type of bugs so this was an issue for me and downgraded my experience which otherwise was very positive. Les mer

There really is no internet in most of the rooms, you can get connected in the lobby but its very slow. The bathroom has a horrible design, no shelves to put your towel or personal stuff, No barrier from the shower, so the water runs all over the bathroom.

Excellent family resort, felt totally comfortable with our 2 yr. old, would love to return on our next stay in Ocean City.

The hotel was decent. The location was fine. Actually, we went downtown only one day and didn't stay very long at the main boardwalk. The beach resort had it's own private beach area with bar and outdoor restaurant that was convenient. The condition of the room was aged but I could tell that the oceanfront rooms were better maintained.

All good. Good spot, plenty of parking, pool ok. Nice fitness and indoor pool. Not huge pools, but OK. Good beach spot, easy hose off. Food being right there is convenient. Nice spacious room for price. No complaints. Good value for price.

We were one of 2 families with small kids for a 2 night stay during the week--a must in the summer. The Carousel was busy but not obnoxiously crowded. Staff were pleasant and check in/out very quick. Elevators take a while during peak times, but we were on 3rd floor so took the stairs, even kids did not mind. The pools are nice but hot tub is small […] and cramped. Service at the outside grill is very, very slow and food is mediocre but we only ate there once. Overall, you cannot beat the location on the beach and the ice skating--though rooms right above the rink can be very loud. We got upgraded to a partial ocean view room with balcony at no extra cost even though we did not book directly with the hotel--nice! Les mer

Great hotel, The gentleman who greet guest upon arrival are exeptional and truly make guest feel welcome, the front desk staff is EXCEPTIONAL very professional, courteous,efficient and a tremendous asset to the hotel, the roomattendant very friendly. I love staying at the Carosel and anytime I go down to OC, that's where I choose to stay. My only complaint is that if you stay on the first four floors around the ice rink area, it can be very loud. They keep the music on inside that area and outside at the grill. While, it does turn off at 10 it can be distracting as the rooms are not very sound proofed. […] On the other hand, the view from the ocean front rooms is beautiful and it is located right on the beach. The hotel is located close to 120th street and is far enough away from the crowds, but still close enough by car or bus to the boardwalk and other activities. I will definitely stay here again. Was actually a little better then I had thought, though I did go in with low expectations. Hotel was decent and pretty kid friendly. Daughter had a good time, so that made ours.

THough the facilities are showing their age abit, the location on the beach, and the pools, ice rink and dining make it a great place to stay with young children. My kids loved the place, and we had a great time.

I was not impressed with the room for the price. Refrigerator was not clean. I could not use computer in lobby one was out of order and the other kept saying wait 5 minutes, I mentioned to front desk 3 times and her reply was that she left anote for tech to repair. She showed no concern or to see if computer was up and running. I am a smoker and there […] should have been ssmoking on balcony even though no smoking was allowed in room. Everytime I had to smoke had to go to front of building which I thought was disrespectful to all clients coming in to hotel. I did like activities for my children, ice skating and game room and pool. For the weekend, the room served its purpose, although the hotel is clearly in need of a remodel. Our room was damp and smelled musty but appeared clean. My son refused to use the bathtub because of a rust (?) stain that he thought looked like blood. The conveniece to the beach was a huge positive. I love this hotel, because theres a lot to do for children (big and small). The weather turned stormy one day. So we swam indoors (played ping pong by the pool) and then ate at their restaurant. Then we went ice skating! The only problem we had at the hotel was the food. Although most meals at the outdoor cafe were very good and tasty; the pizza sauce […] was very plain tasting sauce with huge tomato chunks and the steamed shrimp (served cold) that is reasonable, and served cold was raw. I'd recommend cooking the shrimp, lol. I recommended they use canned pizza sauce as it's better tasting and whole milk cheese as it's better quality too. The crust was good though soggy from too much sauce. Getting off on being a food critic, but I did own a restaurant and food matters! The waiters and food beverage manager were awesome!! NOT their fault!! They took the half total price of the check off, which more than compensated. OVERALL....I loved my stay and would go again. NOT CLOSE TO THE INLET RIDES; BUT JOLLY ROGER IS AT 30TH QUITE A DRIVE. STILL WORTH THE STAY, AS IF IT RAINS IT'S FUN AT THE HOTEL!! Les mer

The front desk was great and the location was great. It is a rarity, but we did not have to book three nights (we booked two) on a holiday weekend. The walls are a bit thin, so we heard quite a bit of noise from other rooms. Rooms were very clean and accommodating. The balcony view was also very nice to have. Spacious closet and drawer space. On the beach location cannot be beat!

A good deal above the norm for a place on the beach. Clean and orderly lobby area. Large Room was neat and clean for a beach resort, though a bit outdated. Four story free garge across the street and an indoor ice skating rink just off the lobby. Supermarkets, fast food and a beach bus stop to go to the boardwalk. I'd stay there again.

Family had a great time at the Carousel. Room was nice, much larger then we anticipated. Mini-kitchen in the room was a nice, unexpected feature. Indoor pool was great, ice skating rink is one of a kind for OC, hotel is located just a few steps from the beach. Would definitely stay there again.

The room was very comfortable. Only thing missing were a Do Not Disturb sign, so housekeeping would keep knocking. I was there with my new husband on a very short honeymoon. Room was on the second floor and was awakened constantly by party goers that were returning or passing through. Other than that it was nice. I visit this hotel a couple times a summer because it is very kid friendly and oceanfront. I have always had a great experience, but this last time was pretty bad. There was a college party all night from 7 pm to 3 in the morning and had rented two levels of the hotel. I find this pretty shocking given that it seems to be a family establishment. I had […] to call the front desk three times because the noise from the drunk college kids in the hallways was so loud. I was so afraid that someone was going to throw stuff down on our balacony and being in the hotel with just myself and my 5 year old and 2 year old was very scary. The college kids were banging on my door at 2 :00 am. I was honestly very shocked that the hotel front desk did not care about my experience when I was telling them what happened at check out. I explained that I called several times about the noise and that my experience was very bad. Perhaps, I will stay somewhere else next time. If the Manager would have seem concerned about my family as its customer I would come again. I work in customer service and so I hope that by me filling out this survey some else will not have such a bad experience. Thank you kindly. Les mer

Location is good, ocean-front room balcony was nice for viewing the beach and ocean. Room was comfortable but had seen a lot of wear and tear. With elevator nearby and big open atrium, sounds tended to carry, so it was a bit noisier than most, but still did not keep me from getting a good night's sleep. Definitely more geared toward families with younger […] children rather than a couple desiring a more peaceful beach getaway. Les mer

We were very disappointed with this hotel. The hotel was seedy. When making the reservation we requested a king bed, but when checking in found out that only queen beds were available in non-ocean front rooms. Only one elevator was working in the hotel. We ended up taking the stairs to the 5th floor numerous times. The initial room given to us had dirty […] carpet, peeling paint, holes in the curtains, and a refrigerator that did not work. We were moved to another room, which had been renovated (not much better). The refrigerator did not work and the security lock came right off the door. When we requested another room, we were told no other rooms were available and that we would not be reimbursed for the first day stay, but would be released from the second day's stay, or wait while repairs were made to the room. The repairs took over an hour to fix. The manager was very unpleasant. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Les mer

Only 1 working elevator to our floor and no access from lobby to room (door locked)- only room to lobby. Hotel work out room does not open until 10:00 am. Checkout is at 11:00 am. Very disappointing.

The room and view of the ocean is more than I expected. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I plan to bring my family during the summer for a visit.

Millions uv little girls eveywhere and the service and quality uv the hotel still was very good. The only down side was waiting for the elevators, It seems like only one was available for everyone.

This was lots of fun for a family - the pool was fun (though colder than we expected for a heated pool) and the kids enjoyed trying to ice skate. I was surprised that this was rated as a 3 star hotel, I wouldn't give it more than a 2 compared to other hotels we stayed in. Having said that it is a great getaway for a family looking for something to do […] in the winter. Les mer

This resort is awesome!!! I have stayed here twice now, both times with several kids and the family atmosphere is the BEST. There is plenty to do and you can see whats going on at all times. The relaxed looks on the parents faces and the excited looks on the kids faces say it all. I hope to keep coming back each year. Thanks for a great weekend!!!!

Since there were plenty of rooms available, I was at least expecting to get a view of the water instead of low level parking lot which wasn't a good view at all. They really could have given us a different room, but it all good. Unfortunately, it wasn't much going on because of the season.
