"worst hotel stay ever."
By far the worst hotel stay ever. The hotel has a smell and look of a old hotel. The hotel was dirty from the lobby to the bathroom. The carpet in the room is old and dirty, the bathroom was dirty to the point I did not want to shower in that tub. The beds in the room were very uncomfortable. The night I spent, there was a very loud party that lasted […] till after 2 am. The photos on hotels.com website are a gross exaggeration as to the true condtion of this old worn out hotel. "better than expected"
Really liked the room for the price, very clean, comfortable, roomy, and a great view into the gardens and pool area. We chose it for the price and convenience to the freeway, as we were headed to wine country the next day.
"Relaxing with beautiful grounds"
Service was excellent. We had a few small problems which were fixed immediately. It's not the greatest of neighborhoods (though very conveniently located) but the grounds are large and very nice with gorgeous views of both A Mountain and the Catalinas. And, we enjoyed sitting on our patio in the early mornings.

Don't let the AAA diamond award sitting at their check-in desk fool you. I can only guess they received this due to their customer service, which was great. Initially the property looked good but until you get into a room, you're being fooled. This is an older hotel that has a nice coat of paint. The rooms are worn and are in a desperate need of a gut […] renovation. You can hear everything your neighbors are doing through the walls - ours were up all night doing the Tucson world series of poker. Yes, the walls are so thin you can hear cards shuffling! At least the giggles of their girlfriends stopped at 2am - the card game did not. How do I know this? That would be from the lack of sleep I got due to tossing and turning all night. The beds were acceptable for comfort but the pillows were about 1 INCH! thick and my guess is they're several years old. ICK!! I tried layering bath towels (which by the way were thin and scratchy) as a pillow. The night we were there, it was terribly windy - you could hear the wind whistling all night though the windows and door. It was also a bit chilly so we used the heater. Every time it would kick on, it sounded as if a jet was starting its' engines. Oh, and, we were in an end unit where there is a metal gate that you use your room key to access the parking lot. Whenever someone used this gate, it would slam shut therefore vibrating the wall by the bed and our door. Patio? Hah! It's a 3 foot cement slab with an old plastic chair overlooking dirt. Whoo ... classy! So, the pros ... no bed bugs, didn't feel dirty (other than the pillows), front desk agent knew the area and was helpful, free parking, the wifi in the room is fantastic (fast and easy!), and the hotel is right off the freeway. "Great proximity to downtown Tucson"
Neighborhood is questionable, however, the conveience is great. Hotel somewhat dated yet it's very clean. Good deal for the money.
"Last Minute Stay"
We had to rent a room at the last minute and Riverpark came in handy. For the price you can't beat it the parking lot is secure with cameras the pool is at a nice temperature and open for late night swimming. Breakfast Buffet was feeling and good, our room was simple but equipped with a microwave and mini refrigerator which was nice but overall very […] simple and if your just planning on sleeping then it does the job. "Bad Beds"
We only used this hotel as an over nighter on a road trip. The problem is the big holes in the middle of both beds in our room. We were unable to get any rest, and woke up in more pain than when we laid down! On a long road trip, this is a disaster. "Nice Name - Real Letdown!"
Hotel is extremely run down. Our first room was completely unacceptable. Bathroom was a disaster, and windows were so filthy you could barely see out of them. Wonderful front desk clerk moved us to a slightly better room on the main floor. However, in the transfer of items to the new room I inadvertently left a dress in the first room. I immediately […] returned to get it but housekeeping had already been back into the room and the dress was gone. When I went to the front desk to ask, I was told housekeeping were gone for the day and to check back in the morning. I did that, but despite my favourite front desk clerk trying his best to get the head of housekeeping to find the dress, no one would admit to having ever seen it. Guess it must have simply "walked" out of that room by itself, as I was wearing it when I walked in, changed into a bathing suit to go to the pool, and went directly to the front desk before the pool to ask about a different room. Did I mention that the pool was also filthy, and I couldn't bring myself to get into it? Needless to say, won't be going back there again! Les mer

"Not so bad"
I was in town on business with fellow co-workers and choose this hotel for its location to the convention center. Pro's are the convenient location, affordable price, and breakfast offered. Con's are that the property is very dated, some facilities were not open, and there is major road construction adjacent to the hotel. The staff was nice and accommodating […] so not so bad for the price. Les mer
"Arizona Riverpark Inn Not What You Expect"
This hotel isn't what you expect for the price. We got sooooo much more for the money! The staff was wonderful, especially Amber. They were all very friendly and very helpful since we are from Chicago and didn't know our way around. The breakfast was phenomenal. We would definitely stay here again.

The rooms were good-sized and nice, ours was surprisingly quiet for being so close to the freeway. But it was the breakfast that made it. Real eggs and a breakfast meat, different on the two days we were there. And salsa and tortillas - we made our own breakfast burritos! And the coffee was very good - rare in a motel breakfast. A little older but well kept. The breakfast is a full buffet style with many options, not your typical muffins and juice. Don't forget you swim trunks because they have a fabulous hot tub. We had a great time there and will return.
I was in Tucson for my son's college baseball intercollegiate spring training games. I chose the River Park Inn from the internet. We really enjoyed our stay at River Park Inn! The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were very neat,clean and the beds were comfortable! That is a MUST for my stay~ The complimentary breakfast was wonderful! "A decent business stay"
It appeared that most of the complex was under construction for upgrades, but this did not affect my stay, as I was mostly here in the early morning and late evening. Jacuzzi was nice. Service was decent. The people at the front desk were nice, courteous, and addressed concerns in a timely manner. There was a free breakfast!

Nice hotel, heated outdoor pool, hottub, I liked the little attached enclosed patios. Would be nice for smokers, accessed by the patio door in the rooms. Nice staff. Saved $40 using hotel.com from my phone. Not brand new, but very nice. Good breakfast included!

Personnel were fabulous. Some issues with the room, but they were corrected immediately. Some amenities in the ad were misleading though - don't expect complimentary reception, room service, or even an onsite restaurant on Sundays !

Awesome old school hotel straight out of the 60's. Room was clean, spacious and had everything you needed. The grounds were under "renovation" and needed some work but for the price and the decent breakfast, it was money well spent.

I was a little leary of this hotel at first. In general the hotel is old/dated, but the room and bathroom was clean. The full breakfast was good and the outdoor terrace (with curtains to keep it warmer) was a nice way to start the day. The hotel staff was friendly and knowledgeable of the area attractions (a key for us since we were not familiar with […] the area at all). They provided several good suggestions for places to eat and shop. The central location made it easy to reach things on the north and south part of town. It is very close to downtown, although I'm not sure it would be easy to walk to downtown because you have to cross some busy streets (but we didn't try walking since we had a car). Les mer

Hotel is located off of I-10 so convenient for travelers using this particular interstate. Hotel had a nice covered waiting/lounging area outside. The inside lobby was very inviting with a fireplace. We checked in a couple of hours earlier than normal check in time and only had to wait a short while before our room was ready and we were able to check […] in (still before normal check in time). The hotel has a pool that was used by customers although we had to complain to the front desk when the noise level remained high after 'quiet time' which is 10pm. After notifying the front desk, the noise level diminished and all was quiet. The hotel offers a free hot breakfast to their customers each day - which is always a plus. All in all, the price was reasonable - and would be good for families traveling with children who like to swim. Les mer

"Side of the highway"
Staying over Christmas week, the hotel didn't seem like it was fully open for business. Breakfast seemed like it was a temporary affair with no real service or adequate food for the guests. The fact that the hotel was on the side of the highway was somewhat concerning. Not alot of businesses and it seemed like there was always a police car parked in […] the corner of the hotel parking lot. Side doors to the facility had security (card)locks, but frequently did not automatically re-lock. It was a hotel room, but not something to brag about. Les mer

"Not too shabby!"
Last minute booking for us, no hassle check-in, pleasant front desk staff, very helpful. Adequate room meeting our needs. Nice breakfast, pleasant surroundings. Close to downtown. Will definitely consider again if we are back in town.
"Twice the price and half as good...."
My complaints...I'll spare you my colorful language. 1. Under construction 2. Made me leave the hotel and come back at three as I watched him check in two other couples. 3. Placed me on the construction side of the hotel. 4. Bar and grill not open...but advertised on your website as an ammenity. 5. Bad neighborhood. 6. Construction crew banging hammers […] at 530am. 7. badly soiled carpet. 8. Much nicer hotels for half the price within walking distance of this place. 9.Unsecure sliding doors to unwelcoming and non private porches. Simply put, i would never recommend this hotel. Les mer

I was very very disappointed in the facility. It was very musky smelling, carpet stained, bathroom wall were peeling and dark stains made me wonder if the corners had mold. The hallway carpet were stained and poor lighting. For the price we paid we could have had a very nice room at any of the big name chains. This is a nice place to stay, very nice employees, and a pretty good breakfast. Some of the grounds were under construction, possibly due to winter maintenance, but that wasn't a problem as the room was comfortable and clean and the grounds were well maintained. "overnight stay"
The room was very clean and check-in was a breeze, however, we did have to get a different room as the latch on the first room was locked from the inside when we tried the key. But it was no problem getting another room. Staff was very pleasant. I do wish they would have had some fresh fruit in the morning, though. Surprisingly, the hotel is comfortable and clean. Easy to find, close to must see sights. Breakfast was good. Although we could use another trash can in the room but for the money we are very satisfied.

It would be a good hotel, if new comfortable bedding be provided and room temperature be controlled so that it wouldn't take 6 hours to reach a bearable temperature level.

Had dinner in the resturant and got food posioning! Spent all day in my room on Wed and lost a work day. Only place I ate, turkey panani, and I paid for it. I realize it was just an accident and they credited my meal but IMO they should have credited my whole visit!

I would not have paid full price for this hotel, but the deal on hotels.com was too good to pass up. The hotel is in a great location - right off I-10 and within walking to downtown Tucson. Room was very big, had everything you needed...i.e. desk, sofa with coffee table, microwave, lots of storage, iron and board, big bathroom, and your very own back […] patio. I'm not sure if the part of town is dodgy or not - I had no problems with safety, but I did notice the hotel did a really extensive job of having lots of extra doors, fences, walls, etc. Pool and hot tub. LOTS of outdoor seating and banquet areas. Free printing and computer. Bar in lobby, fire always going. I think the really unique thing about this place is their breakfast...it is phenomenal for a free hotel breakfast. Tons of hot and cold items, plus really nice seating outside and inside. For the deal we got, I think it was great. But I wouldn't pay the full price for it, like I said before. Especially when for the full price you could probably stay at a Hilton or nice Holiday Inn or something. But overall it was great for the 4 days we were there. Les mer
