Travellers Beach Resort - Negril

The service at Traveller's Beach in Negril is second to none. Everybody, and I mean everybody who represents that hotel exceeded all of my expectations for service. The hotel sits right on the beach with an awesome deck only a few feet from the water's edge. I will go back!!

I liked the resort. Rooms were nice and large. Beach area was small ,l but you can sit anywhere on the 7 mile beach to relax. I would have prefered to be further down the beach but I have no complaints about this resort, the staff were all very nice.

I stayed at Travellers with my husband and 1 year old in December 2011. With the very convenient location and decent reviews, we jumped at the price. Thank goodness we were only staying 2 nights! When we got there in the evening, not only was the crib that I had requested not set up in our room, but I overheard the lady at the frony desk on the phone […] asking someone to bring up the crib from the basement - the person clearly had no clue what she meant and she explained that it was in the corner behind some boxes. Oh dear. I asked her to forget the crib - we had our pack and play. Both windows in the room had very thin curtains and a bright light on all night outside each. The room didn't feel clean, but instead had an overwhelming smell of Febreeze or something. One good thing was the tv. It had cable. Also, the restaurant location - right on the beach - was lovely. This hotel is fine for spring breakers, people who don't plan to spend much time in the room and don't mind that things are not the cleanest..... But definitely not for families. As first time visitor to Jamaica, i was very impressed with this holiday resort. the staff were welcoming and accommodating. Although my party had only booked bed and lodge the cost of our stay was very good value.

Very satisified with the hotel & would definately stay here again. We stayed in October so it was quiet, but there was karaoke twice a week & the staff really made it a lively night & were fantastic singers! The staff in general were very friendly & helpful.The only bad point about hotel is the prices in bar & restaurant, very expensive! £4.50 for a […] glass of wine! Needless to say, my husband & I ate out most of the time. Overall a nice hotel & would definately recommend it to a friend. Les mer

The hotel is clean yet out dated. If you are looking for a place to sleepn and shower this is the perfect place. If you are looking for frills this isn't it. Do not eat on the property the food is terrible, walk next door to Negril Beach Club for food. The lobster salad is amazing. This hotel is a perfect place to stay when visiting Negril. It reminds me of a neighborhood located perfectly near anything you need. The beach location sold me. The achitecture of the way is built is appealing. I love the private porches and the color electric blue was tantalizing. The night entertainment and karioke was fun. We have stayed at Traveller's for 5 nights last week. We were a bit disappointed at the hotel when we first got there, mainly because of the dated facilities & interior. But as soon as we reminded ourselves that it's Jamaica and adjusted our expectation, together with our experience during our stay at Traveller's, we find that Traveller's is BY FAR […] THE BEST choice among all the hotels in Negril. Why? 1. Location, Location, Location Traveller's is right at the Seven Miles Beach, Negril and yet only 5-10 mins walk to the down town/community. You can experience a bit of the "local life" and go to supermarket/ local restaurants/mall to buy food/stuff easily. It is great for people who doesn't want to be trapped in the All-inclusive hotels. Other hotels could be a bit nicer in terms of interior/amenities , but you can go no where without cab/taxi/rental car. 2. Safety & No Hassle Traveller's nice security guard Terrance is the BEST! He makes sure we are in good hands and free to disturbance of people walking along the beaches and try to sell us stuff or try to bother us, especially when they get persistence/aggressive. Trust me, we saw how people were harassed at other hotels while we walked along the beach. Having said that, people in Jamaica are nice and a politely said “no thanks” will keep you away from the vendors at majority of the time. 3. Safety (Again!) – Getting around You can take the cab/taxi. For us, since we stayed there only for 5 nights, we decide to find a tour operator/driver. And after comparing lots of them, we realized the BEST was closer than we thought – Kenneth, the driver who cooperate with/ work for the hotel. He gave us the MOST REASONABLE price for the trip we made, friendly, nice and reliable. He also drives carefully, as he said once: “you have to drive for others” – it is because people there are so careless, esp. at night, speed-driving, cycling/ walking less than 1 meter (no kidding!) away from all the cars along the road, cutting Les mer

The only disappointments i had with the hotel was that there was no swim up bar, the falls was not working at the pool, the bathroom was extremely small and i mean small to where i had to sit side ways on the toliet so i wouldnt hit the toliet paper and im only 140lbs and 5'5. The good part was that it sits directly on the beach and i had no bugs in […] my room, compared to other hotels that i stayed in. Les mer

This is a reasonably priced hotel if all you need is a basic room and bathroom. The pool at the hotel was very nice and clean. The room was comfortable but the bed was hard. Air conditioning worked fine. There is no phone service in the rooms. Had to ask for washcloths three days in a row. The staff was excellent and very helpful. Security on the property […] was superb. Beautiful beach lining hotel but must have room exterminated before going to sleep was ate alive by the time I awoke next morning at 4a not to find anyone in office until 7a to help. But the next night slept great and really enjoyed the privacy of the beach. Recommend it to all that love sunny beach and privacy. Its so pretty the river runs into the […] ocean along the beach and you and raft right there. Its an hour walk into town but only 200 jamaician dollars by local cab just walking a few minutes up the street. I'm going to try again next year. Enj0y Les mer

Vi hade två fantastiska veckor på detta verkligen strandnära hotell. Mycket trevlig personal, välstädat och god mat till bra priser. Hotellet ligger perfekt till om man vill ta det lugnt och det är nära till centrum. Rekommenderar gärna Restaurang Lobster house en bit upp på gatan också.

Underbart familjehotell, med en helt ok Jamaican standard. Trevlig pool, några meter till stranden, restaurangen ligger direkt på stranden och vad mer kan man begära. J
