Days Inn Kittery - Kittery

This hotel is in a great location in relation to Portsmouth NH. The rooms and old, dated, and not well maintained which inherently makes guests question the cleanliness of the hotel. We paid $100.00 for our room which was overpriced for the quality and decor. This hotel is more suited to be a 1 star hotel.

Memorial Weekend and a bargain! No complaints. The front desk staff was very helpful.

It would be perfect if there was a trigger false fire alarm inside the bedroom at 4 o'clock in the morning on the first night. Excellent location for those going to the Kittery Outlet.

Hotel needs serious updating. Wiring and plugs were not safe, especially if children in room. Overall was clean, bedding very clean, bathroom clean with the exception of all vents were clogged with dust and one vent had wrappers inside it with the dirt. although this is not a newer style motel, it is nice and clean, and very welcomeing as we enter the building, the grounds are nicely clean, we were very comfortable and felt very safe, The only issue I have is why they would need a copy of my credit card when I had already paid for the motel room in full before coming to the place, I saw no reason […] for it, but it was demanded of me, and I gave it to them, but was done reluctantly, Is there going to be an additional charge by the motel. The room was comfortable, although outdated (very 70s). It was also kept clean and I was pleased with the shower - you could take a nice hot one if you chose. The hotel is in a nice location - close to the Outlet Shops, close to the malls (Newington), and close to the beaches. We had a pleasant 3 day stay at Days Inn Kittery at a very reasonable rate. The staff that checked us in was friendly and helpful with suggestions as we did not know the area. The hotel is on a busy highway, but the room we stayed in was very quiet and we heard no traffic. The room and bathroom were spotless, everything smelled fresh. Paint and tiles […] are slightly chipped, but but the heating / AC was quiet and we could control the temperature precisely. We wanted to give our dog a vacation from New York City and this pet friendly hotel (with a small fee) was perfect. There is plenty of grass edged by real woods for a dog to enjoy. Les mer

This place is "tired". Curtains had numerous holes revealed at night when outdoor security lights passed thru the gaps. Tub surround has some mold. Paint on trim is faded and peeling. The folks running the front desk were cordial and attentive.

The hotel had a very convenient location. It is in need of renovations, has a strong smell in it, possibly curry?? Beds were comfortable, breakfast room was disappointing, it had stale cereal, toast, english muffins and oatmeal. When they ran out of fruit, it wasn't replaced. Soda machines were empty.

We arrived late and were greeted by Raj, a very polite and attentive guy from India. We had read some very bad reviews and were prepared for the worst. However, we found the room reasonably clean and the king bed very comfortable with a new mattress. There were no frills, but for the price we felt it was decent. The towels were a bit musty, but Raj […] happily got us new ones. We slept well and had no serious problems. Everything about this hotel is awful, from the front desk to the breakfast room, to the guest rooms themselves. I would never stay there again and would certainly not recommend it to anyone. It is no more than a one-star hotel and should not be listed by Expedia.

Wonderful experience, exceptionally courteous staff...loved the courtesy call the first night to make sure everything met our expectations and if there was anything we needed! Convenient to restaurants, shopping, beaches, and local points of interest! Quiet and clean! Great continental breakfast to get our day going!

Sheets are clean but floors are not. pool needed to be skimmed. room needs some work walls had cracks tiles loose in bathroom. But then again the price was hard to beat.

Not friendly. Not helpful. Rude. Not pet friendly.... expect you to take your pet everywhere you go and never leave pet in the room when you are not there... CMON you idiots!!! Bad breakfast.

Fair It is the only hotel that we have stayed in that didn't have breakfast available by 6am (some ready at 5:30am) requiring us to miss the advertised breakfast and having to stop later on in the morning for a bite to eat. very discusted and when we booked on hotels.com got a good rate but when i recieved my next credit card bill the Days inn is charging me an extra 250.00 for a mattress that was alledgely ruined by someone in our room by urine. That might explain why we had to go to store and get febreeze just to be able to stay in the rooms. I have not even begun to […] fight this!!! Les mer

We know Day's Inn for its stability. The one in Kittery is old, smells humidity, the breakfast is so poor... We were so much disapointed.

We stayed in June 2011 and were disappointed that the pool was not open. This year the service was wonderful, pool open, new mattresses and they are trying to improve older rooms. If you want a place to sleep, shower, and close to York, Kittery Outlets and Hampton the price is right.

room carpet full of chips beside bed stayed 3 nites and chips crumbs still there even if maid came to vaccum the room. other problem the maid does not speak english difficult to ask for something without going to front desk each time.

The hotel had an accumulation of thick dirt in the bathroom door vent. The sheets were so worn you could see holes beginning in the fabric. The wood trim under the sink looked as though the room had only had a cursery cleaning since its inception. There was a constant pounding, walking overhead all night long (both nights of our stay). The hotel was really old and in need of upgrade. We are not smokers and the room really smelled smoky. The staff did offer immediately to reclean for us. We had a problem with the T.V. and it was fixed immediately. There was a coffee pot and wifi and we needed to run anextention to use them. There was a continental breakfast but not much variety although […] we were there for 3 days or would not have thought anything of it. This hotel is fine if you don't plan on spending much time in your room. We went to Kittery to shop and to visit Salem, which is an hour away. We were only in our room to sleep and shower. The location cannot be beat, you are less than 5 minutes from the Kittery Outlets and restaurants. The hotel had an over-powering musty odor. The bathroom was in need of general repairs. The Kittery Outlet stores were about a 5 minute drive from the hotel.

Slightly disappointed on the condition of the hotel, expected a little more from a Day's Inn. That said, it was a last minute booking and was fine in a pinch for one night. Breakfast was a bit disappointing too. The kids loved the pool.

This is a pet (kind of, not really) friendly hotel. They have a policy that you cannot leave your pet in the room unattended. If they suspect the pet is alone, they said that they would call the police, and have your pet removed! Really??? Are they nuts???? I have never had a problem at this hotel. The staff is always nice. The room is always clean. My only complaint would be that the pool needed to be cleaned. Otherwise, I have no problem staying here and would recommend it to anyone going to Kittery/Portsmouth.

We had at leat 1 bug in our room every night. Was not clean at all. Would not recommend this hotel unless they renovate the entire place. Breakfast was minimal and the same each day with small muffins and cereal with warm milk. Had to buy food after 3 days because it was not good at all. We had a nice stay. We weren't in the room much because it was a girl's couple of days. The room was clean, but it needed to be painted. The staff was very pleasant and accomodating. The rooms could use a microwave in them. Overall, nice stay for a reasonable rate. Oh yeah, it rained the whole time. Maybe next time we will get to use the pool.

The refrigerator that was in our room did not work, the bathroom door in our room did not close all the way due to the building settleing and the breakfast was disappointing, good thing that there was a dunkin donuts around the corner and that we were only there the one night

we paid same as in-laws for 1 dbl bed and were put in the room the size of a tunafish can...very small and very old. hotel corridor smelled funny. the people running the place very nice but its a dumpy little hotel. looks like they put a bandaid on a sore. more than likely we won't stay there again.

We stayed two nights Friday and Saturday. Got back to our room after shopping all day Sat. -- no beds made, no clean towels, only four squares of toilet paper left...ugh. There is a Bad smell throughout the hotel, occasional cig smoke smell in our room unless we kept the a/c on. I did like to location, quick drive to outlet stores, york beach, etc - […] anywhere that I wanted to be to escape my room! Les mer
