"Beautiful and comfortable but WAY too manyproblems"
The resort is gorgeous. The room was unique and bed was super comfortable. However we couldn't get into our room each time we tried. We had over 6 key cards, maintenance came after hours of trying to get them to fix the door. No wifi which we were needing to use and were told we had in the room. And the shower had no hot water. Not warm enough for my […] baby or my 3 year old to shower. My husband had to shower as he was the best man in the wedding we were there for. It was a very frustrating overall experience. Our friends who got married there had a great experience. They had problems but were fixed fairly quickly and received room upgrades etc. We had difficulties getting help. And when we complained they didnt care or apologize. So unless you are getting married there or staying for more than one night they don't seem to care about you. Les mer
"You'll probably spend less time outside the villa!"
They make it so easy and convenient that you may never leave the resort! You can charge everything to your room and they even have a convenience store on site! We were able to walk to scuba (and any other water sport you want). Definitely get a room with a kitchen/living room - it makes a WORLD of difference (and you can cook in if you like!). They […] even have delivery if you are too tired to make it down for dinner. Really great place but not super convenient to UVF or the Pitons, etc. Hire a driver and save yourself the stress of a rental car. Excellent restaurants outside of the villa (Martha's Tables-my favorite!!!, Spinnakers, and Fire). Les mer
"Beautiful stay"
Resonably priced. Great food. Nice property n view.
"Windjammer Landing"
I will try to give a pretty honest review of the resort - Location - If you fly into the Hewanorra Airport you have to expect at least a 2 hour drive to the airport. If you fly into Castries, it will be a much shorter drive - 30 minutes depending on traffic. Windjammer does not provide transportation included in the cost, however they will help you […] arrange for reputable transportation. We went with ZD's and were very pleased. Hotel Staff (Excluding wait staff) - I cannot say enough about the front desk, tour staff, basically anybody who worked at the hotel. They were wonderful, kind, and informative. Several times they went out of their way to help us - giving advice on local food and non-touristy places to visit. Rooms - We were in the smallest (and cheapest) room offered, by choice, and were totally satisfied with the condition of the room. We had a 5 piece bathroom, king bed, walk - in closet, sofa and tv. The view was beautiful, overlooking the bay and beaches. The only nock on our room was that it could also be converted into a longer suite. The wall that can adjoin the room isn't totally soundproof and we had neighbors who were guests of a wedding, so the celebrating got loud. (However, it is a hotel so we expected some of that!) Full Disclosure - we didn't feel the need to alert hotel staff as neighbors quieted down once they realized we returned to our room. Grounds - Beautiful. It truly does look like the pictures, everything tiered up the side of the mountain. Restaurants - We were not on the all-inclusive plan. Many of the excursions offered lunch, and we found that we saved a lot of money off the plan. The food at the resort was good, but not great. Upon the recommendation of staff we tried several local restaurants. There we found a greater variety of food at better prices. Be aware that you will not experience service as in the US (whether off or on resort), or even what we've experienced in Europe. You are definitely on island time. Be prepared t Les mer

"Windjammer St. Lucia"
It has been a 30yr dream of mine to visit St. Lucia. I finally was able to visit St. Lucia [with my entire family] last week and was extremely pleased to stay at the Windjammer. The staff was wonderful, paying attention to every detail, with honest kindness. A very clean resort and beautiful. The foods at the restaurants are great. The beach is well […] maintained and very close to each room/suite. I hope to return to the Windjammer in the next couple of years. I highly recommend it for families and couples. Thank-you. Les mer
"Windjammer St. Lucia"
The Windjammer is quite a remarkable complex - more like a little community of villas than a hotel/resort. The villas are built on the side of a mountain with brick roads and boardwalks joining the residences to the main amenities located at the base of the mountain (at the beach). The grounds are beautiful, being situated in the jungle, it's lush with […] vegetation, beautiful flowers, birds and 'peeping' frogs. Our villa had a walk out patio for the lower apartment and access to a roof top patio with an incredible view for the upper apartment. The staff were alway friendlyand low key (except, unfortunately, the breakfast staff who strangely weren't always the happiest).. The whole place is low key - no loud parties or obnoxious and over-friendly salesy things going on. The windjammer is lovely place to stay. Les mer
"Windjammers - a great place"
Brilliant place with lovely people. Perfect. (but don't tell anyone ;)
"Paradise!"
My husband and I stayed at the Windjammer Resort from April 10 - 17th, 2011 for our honeymoon. We could not have picked a better location! The Windjammer Resort and St. Lucia were perfect for us. There was plenty to do when we wanted to be active, and there was enough down time and space for us to relax in between. The best part of Windjammer was our […] villa on the mountainside, with the beautiful views from our private patio. The negative part of Windjammer was that it was far from any local attractions, and we needed a taxi each time we left the resort. The closest village was Rodney Bay, about a 10 minute cab ride at $14 US. Castries was about 15-20 minute cab ride at $25 US. Next time we will rent a car, but beware if you want to get around on the island by yourself, the roads are extremely hilly, narrow, and curvy! So, renting a car straight from the airport might be intimidating, until you get the feel for how everyting is laid out. We loved our open-air villa. It had a full kitchen and living room, full bathroom, and huge bedroom. The hotel staff were very accomodating and friendly. We cannot wait to go back next year! Les mer
"Windjammer Landing"
great spot but far away from anything else, even grocery stores or coffee shops so you are really captive to their offerings.
My husband and I stayed at the Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort celebrating his birthday. We were very pleased, and can't wait to go back there again. It's a beautiful Resort. We did not get the all inclusive so we found the food to be a little pricey. They had a wedding on the beach while we were there. We flew into the UVF airport and it takes […] about an hour and a half drive to get to the Resort .. Les mer
"Windjammer St. Lucia"
The locals definitely regard this as one of the nicer hotels on the island. It is pricey and cab fare to and from can get expensive. There is free snorkeling, more plunge pools than you can shake a stick at, and a lot of reasonably priced tours and conveniences. Every room seemed to have a fabulous view. The Dragonfly Restaurant was a bust for their […] "pseudo-Asian" fare and way overpriced, but all the other meals and buffets were great. Papa Don's Mediterranean being the best. Les mer
"Windjammer St Lucia"
We had only booked one night before joining our cruise. Upon arrival staff extremely friendly . Our room however rained in through night and we awoke to find water on floor. The toilet blocked and we were unable to use it in the morning. The telephone in the room didnot work. We ate in the Italian restaurant Food Ok but we thought the wine was very […] expensive. AQppeared to be a resort for families as there were lots of children around . We could not get our luggage out of the room because of the steepness of the steps and had to go down to recepyon because of the phone just to get the shuttle bus to come and take it. I am glad we were not staying longer than one night we are used to 5 star accomodation an this did not come up to scrafch for us. Les mer
"Riding out the hurricane"
We intended to stay for only one night after spending a week at another resort on St Lucia, but we arrived the same day as Hurricane Tomas. We had to ride out the hurricane in our room, in which, we felt very secure. We never felt threatened by the conditions but we lost TV, internet , phone and radio service from damage on the island. The power went […] out briefly but the resort had ample generator capacity to keep the lights and AC on. The management brought bottled water and candles for emergency use. The restaurant was closed by the storm so we had to get something from the mini-mart for our meals. The water supply also went out so the showers and toilets didn't work. We were able to get water from the pool with our waste basket to take care of those issues and we had plenty of bottled water for drinking. In the aftermath of the hurricane there was substantial damage to the beach and parts of the resort but the biggest issue was getting information on the extent of damages and getting staff members back to work to service the resort. Those staff who remained put in extra hours to keep the single restaurant open and the front desk did a great job of getting updates and keeping us informed of the situation. The new manager, Mark, was very helpful and kept us informed of the recovery efforts. He was supposed to fly out on our flight too, so when we found out the airport was damaged and closed for several days and the roads were impassable from washed out bridges we knew that we were not going anywhere soon. The resort offered a 50% discount on the rooms for our extended stay. The staff (Cali) at the front desk was helpful in getting us connected on his personal laptop which allowed us to inform our with family and make arrangements to "make our escape" and get back home. Once we were over the "crisis mode" and had dealt with the uncertainties and anxieties of the whole hurricane situation we were able to relax and take in some of the amenities of the resort. We were v Les mer
"Windjammer - Near Northern St. Lucia Airport"
The room was quite comfortable given the circumstances (post Hurrican Tomas conditions - no running water), and the staff were pleasant and accomadating. However, there was a serious cleanliness issue with our bathroom upon arrival. There was a large stain on the basin/lower seat of the commode (appeared to be dried vomit) which I had to clean up. That […] was quite nasty. Everything else was accomadating. I was disappointed that they did not provide an extra discount for us as we were Hurricane Survivors. However, overall, I would give it 4/5 stars. Les mer

"Nice Hotel...Excellent Staff"
We had a great time at the Windjammers. We were on our honeymoon and were not so happy with the room we were given before but the staff was gracious enough to move us to a better room with the ocean view after we let them know of our displeasure. The hotel has many swimming pools and many water sports you can enjoy. The restaurant on the beach 'Jammers' […] was fantastic with great food and drinks and so was the Italian restaurant on the hotel site but we were a bit disappointed with the asian restaurant which is next to Jammers. Overall our stay was extremely pleasant and memorable and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone on their honeymoon. Les mer
"Nice luxurious place, but also kids + mosquitos"
- Good 1 bedroom villa. Very spacious and luxurious. Great veranda on patio with fantastic ocean view. - The non-villa rooms are near the beach and dont have a great view. Also, lots of kids/families in those areas and not good for someone wanting privacy and peace/quiet. - Resort's private beach is okay, but again crowded with kids. Has walled off […] swimming area in the ocean with lots of floating toys like jumping trampoline, slide, etc - Resort lets you take out their paddle boats or sailboats for FREE - The daily EVENTS (water aerobics, water ski, tube rides) are subject to filling up quickly and are mostly for kids - Staff take 30+ min to check you in - Rooms are in such steep locations, that a shuttle must drive you to your villa. I preferred to walk though. - On check in, door wasnt working so maintenance took about 15 min to get there to fix it - Concierge helpful - Lots of mosquitos. Living room in villa has holes in wall purposefully to "enjoy" the breeze. If its too hot outside (which it is near the equator), this room is muggy and hard to enjoy. Also mosquitos get in. - Bedroom has AC which works well, but mosquitos can come from living room, so keep your door shut. - Make sure you get rental car at least 1 day in advance from when you need it. Our hotel ran out of cars in 1 hour and the car rental lady didn't inform me that I should sign up immediately. - This location in Gros Islet is secluded from other stuff. You need a car or taxi to get to the main road and around. Overall the Castries area is not that great. If you want the best views, go to Sofriere and Pitons. Les mer
"Beware of this hotel"
The hotel has a superb location: on a hillside with wonderful views of the sea. But here is where the advantages stop. Some of the units are in terrible disrepair and at least one of them (it had to be the one they offered to us on our first night) had mice. The unit in which we ended up staying for the rest of the nights had a rusty refrigerator; a […] few fans that were not working; one of the phones was broken; several burnt light bulbs (good luck in getting them replaced!); the alarm radio was broken; the bathroom had towel rings and soap/shampoo supports missing. The hotel kept running out of clean beach towels, bath towels, coffee, you name it. Every single request, such as to get clean towels or to fix the fans or to replace light bulbs, had to be made at least 3 times before it was honored. The food was mediocre. The staff was quite inefficient and devious.

Mireille
Omalla ranta-alueella oleva hotellikeskus, jossa hyvät palvelut.
