Vi hadde et flott opphold på HHMI&S! vi var på familieferie med barn fra 12-22 - de elsket stedet. Flott med et lite treningssenter, nydelig bassengområde med bordtennisbord og boblebad! Vi hadde både frokost og middag i restauranten - fantastisk god mat!De i resepsjonen var utrolig hyggelige og imøtekommende. Området rundt var stille og rolig, med flere koselige restauranter så man slapp kjøre inn i byen. Kort vei til Sea World. Eneste minus var at noen av hotellgjestene var svært høylytte nattestid, og det var lytt fra utsiden av rommet. Det var også ganske lytt mellom rommene, så vi kunne høre svært godt krangelen på naborommet fra badet vårt. Men alt i alt et supert opphold! Kommer gjerne tilbake!!

San Diegos flyplass ved havet ligger nordvest for sentrum, og her ligger også San Diego Convention Center, PetCo Park stadion og Gaslamp Quarters. Restaurantene og barene i denne historiske bydelen er kjernen i byens natteliv. Balboa Park og San Diego Zoo utgjør en grønn lunge i denne asfaltjunglen. Utenfor kysten ligger Coronado Island, med vakker utsikt mot byens skyline.

Perfect location for Convention Center and the Gaslamp District. All within walking distance, Convention center was about 15 minute walking. Felt safe at all times. Not a 5-star hotel but who cares for the price and location? Staff was excellent.
"You get what you pay for"
Just a place to sleep with a roof over your head. They had limited parking spots and I had to park the car on the street and put coins in the meter. The shower kept on going out, coming on and trying to take a nice long hot shower was definitely not part of their pluses. The breakfast they served was just the minimum and was promptly over at 9:30 am. […] I guess if they made it available from 7 to 11 they'd be looking at bankruptcy. The wall heating unit was so loud that all night I felt like being on an air plane half way across the world. I have stayed at other BW's and they have been far superior and pleasant. Les mer

"BW Cabrillo Garden Inn - Decent, low frills hotel"
I had a very pleasant stay at the Cabrillo Garden Inn. It's a small hotel. The room was small, but quiet and comfortable. Not a lot of perks, but inexpensive for the location, and easy access to Gaslamp District. The breakfast was very good for a free continental breakfast (hot scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon, potatoes or hash browns, and pancakes […] in addition to the usual fruit, cereal, bread, bagels, etc.) Les mer
"BW PLUS CABRILLO GARDEN INN"
The hotel reception was very courteous and helpful but the hotel room we were offered had been fumigated with pesticide (supposedly 3 weeks previously) but it was impossible to stay in the room due to the overwhelming smell of pesticide. It was so strong that both my wife and I started to get allergic reactions to is, even with all the windows open […] and the air conditioning at full blast. We had to leave the hotel and did not stay there, not sure yet if we will get charged the cancellation charge - we only spent less than an hour there and most of that time was standing outside the room waiting for the pesticides to dissipate - they didn't. The hotel room should not have been made available for use. The downtown location may be useful for business travel, or travellers in cars, but other travellers should keep in mind that the downtown core of San Diego is full of street people at the weekends, and very few other people - so not ideally located for pleasure travel. "Simple Place to Stay"
Wanted a place walking distance to the Gaslamp district. This hotel was fine. Just don't walk east of hotel as it is not the best neighborhood, but the hotel itself was fair. The curtain did fall off when I tried to adjust it, luckily it was the morning we were leaving. 10 minutes walk south to Gaslamp district. Oh, parking is limited whtin parking […] lot, but you can find street parking outside the grounds. Les mer
"Ordinary"
The hotel is not that great and if you're staying here, it's because of price and ease not because of quality and luxury. Even with the price it was kind of expensive for me because I came during SD Comic Con, which means hiked up prices. The room was small and adequate. The closet was not much of a closet but a door-less closet with a curtain. The […] bathroom was small but clean. No HD tv but I didn't mind and the continental breakfast wasn't that bad but nothing that I couldn't make or buy on my own. There's nothing great about this hotel but there's nothing horribly bad about it either. The price kind of sucked but it's expected during a VERY busy part of the year. If needed, I would stay here again. But only if I couldn't find a better and nicer hotel. Les mer
It was better than expected. I originally booked another hotel thru a travel planning web site. The hotel was misrepresented to put it kindly. I was extremely disappointed and checked out. Then, I went to Best Western. I was pleasantly greeted and treated above expectation. The staff was second to none. I felt secure and at ease. The room was very clean […] and comforting and the breakfast was fresh and healthy. The BEST WESTERN CABRILLO GARDEN was a blessing.Thank you for ending my trip on a great note! Les mer
"BW - Cabrillo Gardens SD Gaslamp - Last Min. Raise"
When I arrived at the Hotel the attendant checking us in said that we had booked under a senior rate from what I booked at Hotels.com and tried to raise the regular rate from what I reserved by nearly 50 dollars. When I looked at him like that was never going to happen he immediately had an alternate price to "help me out". It seemed highly suspicious.
