The Aspens - JHRL - Teton Village

This is an awesome place to stay if you plan on doing any skiing or riding at Jackson Hole. I read a bunch of the other reviews so I was prepared for the check in process. Hotels.com does not tell you that the check in is actually 4 miles north of the Aspens village, but thanks to the reviews of others it was painless. Staff is super friendly and ready […] to accomodate. I had booked a king bed with a sofa sleeper. When we arrived to check in the four of us walked through the door and she looked suprised that there were so many of us. We were a bit nervous that there would not be enough room for all of us, however, when we got to our room we were suprised to see that this place will comfortably sleep 8. Full kitchen with a dishwasher, washer dryer and a fire place. Great place to stay, very comfortable and only 4.5 minutes to the slopes. Just make sure you go to Teton Village to check in, the building is directly next to the only gas station in the Village. Les mer

Despite the reviews suggesting otherwise, we arrived mid snowstorm and still found this place easily - after a call to the reception the key pick up was straightforward. Great location if you are wanting to hit the slopes - 5 minute drive or a $3 bus fare. About 15 minutes into Jackson. Condo has everything you could possibly need. Really cosy little […] place! The office was closed when we arrived on Sunday. It was exremely hard to find with the directions given. It took me about 2 hours and 10 interviews of local residents of finally find out where I could check in. When I obtained my key and directions to the condo the address listed was not a street address, but the name of the condo, and the numbers were […] wrong. Les mer

Nice location, spacious condo, very comfortable. Picking up the keys from the rental agency not at all difficult if you print out the directions from the hotel's website. Would definitely stay again if we go back to Jackson.

The check-in process was confusing. I was looking for a "hotel" when really needed the store-front lock box to retrieve a key. The hotel description was a misnomer as was the location. It should have been clearly noted this was for a privately owned condominium. The two reserved rooms were not close to one another, i.e. opposite ends of the complex. […] After arriving at 1:00 AM, we never checked into the second condo and it went unused for two nights. On a positive note, the condo was nicely appointed and comfortable. Hotels.com and JHRL could have done much better describing the property and process. Les mer

We experinced a little bit of difficulty in locating the JHMR rental desk. It would be nice if hotels.com acciurately described where to pick up the key to the uniy. As for the unit it was very nice. It could have used an updated kitchen and baths but it was a fantastic bargain. We had booked a one bedroom but we were given a two bedroom with a loft. […] The market in the community had a great deli and upscale food shopping. The location is ideal for anyone visiting Grand Teton National Park or the JH ski area. We highly recommend The Aspens. Les mer

Since I had read of confusion about finding the checkin location I called two days before we arrived on a 7:30 pm flight and was assured by a very pleasant man that no problem - the office would be open to 11 PM and he gave me directions. Unfortunately, when we finally found the office, about 8:30 PM about four miles from the apartment and imprecisely […] described, it was closed. We found a phone that connected to an answering service, where a friendly, but unknowedgeable woman gave us a combineation for a box at the phone, where there was an envelope for us, along with about fifteen others. It had a map that was hard to decipher and a key. She could not help us locate the apartment, so we headed out in the dark and about an hour later found it. Apartment was fine except the deadbolt didn't work. In the envelope was a note that we should return the next day to register. Apparently, they think we have nothing else to do on vacation except deal with their lack of competence and responsibility to let travelers count on what they said when contacted directly. Would never deal with the management company again. Les mer

The location was good with easy access to the bike trails (which we loved since we biked every day), to Jackson, Teton Village and the Bar J Wranglers' location. However, the property management people were hard to reach via phone. The area outside the condo was not very well kept up of clean. The condo was a good value for the price--especially compated […] to downtown Jackson's prices. Les mer

My family stayed at The Aspens, specifically in Cove building Unit #4122. It was modern, well-equipped, beautifully decorated, spacious, quiet, and comfortable. It was on the second floor, with a balcony that overlooks a creek where we could watch the wildlife. We even saw a mother and baby moose playing along the creek one morning, within about 20 […] feet of the condo! (don't approach the moose, though, as they can be very dangerous!). This condo was the best value of our trip by far. Next time I would stay here for the whole week, and just take day trips to Grand Teton and Yellowstone rather than staying inside the parks where it is sooo expensive and not nearly as nice quality. Even though this condo is in a building with other condos, we never heard or saw any of the neighbors. The condo is located within a lovely neighborhood, with quiet streets that are perfect for taking a stroll. There is a market at the entrance to the complex, but it is a little far to walk to. Jackson Hole resort is just a short drive up the main road. My only complaint about the condo is that it was advertised as having a sleeper sofa, but it did not. It just had two king size beds. If you need a sleeper sofa, you might want to ask for a different unit. Les mer

This is a condo that is owned by someone, and rented out when not in use by the owner or other occupants. It was spacious, conveniently located, and had most of the amenities of home. Our unit face the Teton mountain range and felt connected to nature. When we pulled up, there was a 7' tall moose grazing in the adjoining woods. Like I said, connected […] to nature. Overall, we love it and plan on staying there again. Les mer

As others have stated, the after hours check-in could be improved. The address should be listed as Teton Village, WY instead of Wilson, WY to use a GPS to locate the Jackson Hole Resort Lodging office. Otherwise, everything else was fine. The condo was clean, well decorated and maintained. Would definitely stay here again.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at The Aspens. Our condo (411) was fabulous. Fully equipped with upscale decorating. My son, who is 16, didn't want to leave the area or the condo for our trip into Yellowstone. We all decided this condo was the best on our trip out west. I had requested a two bedroom, but none was available in our price range. […] We did opt to take the one bedroom and our teenage children slept on the couches. It was comfortable all around! I highly recommend this condo!! The area is conveniently located to the National Park and the Jackson area. Although the market in the Aspens grounds was a bit pricey, another grocery in Jackson was easily available and more in our budget. Les mer

The condo was everything that could be expected, fully equipped and like staying in someone elses home (which it probably is during parts of the season), periodic maid service available which we didn't need except for few paper items and one change of towels over the 5 days. Complete with full ,kitchen, and washer/dryer which was a huge help. In short, […] the condo itself was top notch for the money. However!!! Something needs to be done with the registration process. We had to register at the Grand Tetons Resort 5 miles away from the Aspens where we were staying. The Hotels.com address was almost accurate except the small street is in the middle of the ski village and very hard to locate, even with a GPS we were not able to find a match. Asking at the lodge and several other places in the village with the information provided us by Hotels.com did not help as we didn't know the exact name of the rental company and no one knew of anything like it. We ended back at the realty agency for the Aspens where the lady was kind enough to make some calls and determine the name of the actual renting agency and its location back in Teton Village. Without the actual name of the rental agency and/or a local phone number for it, it is very difficult to locate the registration office. Arriving at night would have been a disaster, as we would have had no one to get help from and the after hours and after hours directions are not at all easy to follow either. Strongly recommend Hotels.com provide the actual rental company name, location description (address does not help much), and local phone number to every renter to prevent this problem; or the rental company could do this by email to the customer before arrival. That said, once we found it, everything went well and we had a wonderful stay. Les mer

There wasn't soap in the bathroom and the room smelled of smoke, or the fireplace. We bought soap and aired it out.

It is hard to believe this location is only three stars. This place is amazing and greatly exceeded anything I was anticipating. We were not sure what to expect when we drove into the parking lot. We just hoped everything was clean. What a surprise! We absolutely loved the place. Everything was clean and well-maintained. Plenty of dishes, coffee filters […] and even some coffee as a gift. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spotless and large enough for all our needs. The best part of the condo was the living room and dining room which became our "den" of comfort each evening and morning Everything was comfortable. Were were close to a terrific fitness center with a great hot tub and pool and a great workout room. Everyone there was very friendly. We even arranged for a great massage. Maybe the best surprise was the time a mother and baby moose were right outside our condo. Both morning and late afternoon! It was a true highlight to be in the midst of a beautiful and quiet location. Yet were were five minutes from the Teton Village and 12 minutes to downtown Jackson. We got to experience everything this region had to offer and return to a quiet and serene location to live! Not only will we return without question, I might want to move here permanently! Les mer

The unit was clean, very comfortable, and nicely decorated. I enjoyed the peaceful location, close enough to the park and downtown Jackson. The only disppointment were no bikes to rent at that location. I was informed they will have a place next year. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay and would do it again.

Should you have occasion to visit the Teton National Park area, you must make plans on staying at the Aspens (JHRL). This fully furnished condo with breathtaking patio view is a must. Conveniently located to the park attractions and local grocery store, you will save time and money as you enjoy all the comforts of home.

The office was down in a section called the Teton Village which is down the road from The Aspens. It was ridiculous that the office didn't give clear instructions for getting there. We spent a lot of time driving through the Aspens before we finally called the office and got the directions. One other negative aspect was that we ordered and received […] confirmation that the bed would be king-size. It was not; it was full size. By the time we moved everything in and then realized that the bed was not a part of our contract, we decided to not ask to change to another condo. Now, with all that being said, everything was just wonderful. The condo was clean and comfortable (except the bed size). It was well furnished and the location was so quiet and beautiful. We could have stayed there for a much longer time. And we would definitely stay there again if we were in the area. Les mer

We had a great time at this condo. It was perfect for our needs, quiet, out of the way. The little grocery on the corner, within walking distance had an excellent hot deli with outstanding fare. The only problem we had was checking in, which had to be done up at Teton Village. We werer not told of this, so we spent some time looking for a local office. […] We were glad we had not arrived after dark. But once settled, it was a lovely place. Les mer

Lighting is greatly needed at night. The place is difficult to find. Once you are there the condo itself was super.

This Condo was amazing. Right up at the edge of the Teton Mountains. Nice codo area with about a 10+ mile bike path nearby and lots to do nearby. Kitchen was well stocked with anything you cold need to cook or bake & a great Albertson's within 5 miles. This 1 bedroom place could easily have slept 6+ with bunk beds built into wall, couch, windowseat/bed […] & bed in the bedroom. Disheasher, coffee machine, washer, dryer. What more could you ask for? Oh Yea, Great Views! A bit hard to find in the dark as you pick up keys at Teton Village & drive back along a country road to fine the Aspens about 4+ miles. Once we found the Aspens, finding the condo was a breeze. Neve even saw the fitness room...heard they had one but road bikes & explored Teton Nat'l park almost everyday (less than 6 miles away.) The condo was completely updated and very well furnished. King beds in both rooms complete with bathrooms featuring jacuzzi tubs and showers. One of the best stocked kitchens I have ever seen. High quality pots/pans, dishes, etc. I had been told that the Aspens were old and dated, but the unit I had was very clean and up-to-date. Would recommend this […] particular unit to everyone. Le condo était très spacieux et bien entretenu, sauf le plancher qui était poussiéreux un peu. L'appartemennt était très confortable. Beaucoup d'ustensiles et de chaudrons pour cuisiner. La vue est nulle à cet endroit. Mais le condo se trouve près des routes pour accéder aux différents parcs. Le prix est raisonnable.
