Store rene og flotte rom med god temperatur. Døgnåpen informasjonensdesk med veldig god service. God beliggenhet med gåavstand, samt taxi tilgjengelig til enhver tid. Lekker frokostbuffet! Spesielt godt fornøyd med lobby og barområdet hvor vi kunne samles et par timer på kvelden før vi gikk til hvert vårt rom!:):)

Hotellet lå svært sentralt, bare 150 meter fra Sheaperds Bush stasjonen, som ligger på Central line (den røde undergrunnen). Ved stasjonen ligger også Westfield, et stort, nytt handlesenter. Jeg hadde bestillt rom med to enkelsenger og da de ikke hadde det, fikk jeg oppgradering til et rom med kingsize seng. Rommet var stort og flott, nydelige badehåndklær og badekåper.

Hotellet ligger ypperlig plassert 40 meter fra Earls Court underground station. Hvis man annkommer London til Heatrow går banen rett til denne stasjonen. Herfra kan man raskt reise til alle Londons attraksjoner med en relativt kort og kjapp reise med undergrunnsbanen. Standarden på rommet vi fikk var av helt akseptabel standard i forhold til prisen. […] På det rommet vi hadde måtte man ha litt tålmodighet før det kom vamtvann i dusjen. Men ellers ok bad. Fra det vi bodde i øverste etage var det god utsikt. En litt dum ting var at når vinduene på rommet var lukket, hørtes det ut som om de var åpne. Dette førte til litt skjenanse da vi skulle legge oss. Det er mulig å bestille full engelsk frokost. Dette må gjøres en dag i forveien, og er muligens å annbefale da den ordinære frokosten var heller sparsomelig. Jeg har ingen bemerkninger på servicen. Det var hyggelige og begjelpelige folk som jobbet der. For å oppsumere synes jeg hotellet var helt greit i forhold til prisen. Og jeg kommer selv til å vurdere å bo der igjen ved en senere anledning, spesielt pga den gunstige plasseringen. Les mer

"Mye for pengene!"
Hvis du er ute etter et greit sted å sove i et rolig strøk med kort avstand til sentrum uten at det koster skjorta, er dette hotellet absolutt å anbefale. Det har ikke førsteklasses standard og man må gjerne leve med noen småting som ikke er helt perfekt. Men man får et greit rom med en grei seng og greit bad og en grei frokost. Alt dette til en rimelig […] penge for å være i London. Strøket er rolig med noen restauranter og puber i nærheten. Egen nattklubb i kjelleren, men den var ikke særlig full da vi var der. Kort vei til Victoria Station der flytoget fra Gatwick stanser (kun noen få stopp derfra med undergrunnen til Earls Court og et par minutters gange fra undergrunnen til hotellet). Hit drar jeg gjerne igjen og anbefaler det gjerne til alle som ønsker et rimelig og greit sted å sove i nærheten av London sentrum (skal du ha luksus og gangavstand til Oxford Street velger du et annet sted). Deilig med heis, når man bor i 4.etg. Eget bad med dusj og badekar var bra. Ble daglig rengjort og nye håndklær kom hver dag. Vanntrykket var ikke det aller beste. All søppel ble fjernet hver formiddag. Innelufta blir litt dårlig når det ellers er vegg til veggtepper. Ting vi puttet i kjøleskapet frøs til is. Hotellet ligger veldig sentralt. Bare et […] steinkast unna t-banestasjonen Earl's court. Når man velger å bo så sentralt, må man regne med at det blir litt støy fra sirener og trafikken. Ørepropper er tingen. Frokosten var ikke særlig mye å skryte av. Klok av skade har jeg alltid med meg egne knekkebrød. Da blir frokosten ok med ost, skinke og kokte egg. Et pluss for kaffe/kakao/te-maskinen de har. Men det var veldig kjølig i matsalen. Iallfall da vi var der midten av oktober. Det er jo bare å kle seg. Personale var hyggelige, men servering av toast i matsalen gikk veldig tregt. En morgen var eggene så lite kokt at til og med hviten var helt flytende. Øvelse gjør mester ;) Jeg har ikke noe i mot å bo på dette hotellet flere ganger. Sentral beliggenhet :) Les mer

The hotel is located in an ok area, however the hotel was not very nice. It seemed dirty and not taken care of. The room were unpleasant and the breakfast was bad. I stayed there from friday to saturday, and to my disappointment i realized that there was a club in the basement of the hotel. I was not able to sleep at all because of all the noice. Hotellet ligger fint til i London, med et steinkast unna Earl's Court Underground station, så det tar ikke lang tid til mange av byens flotte severdigheter. Utenfor hotellet er det flere butikker, puber og fastfood sjapper(KFC, McDonalds) Personalet var hyggelig, og hjelpsomme, har intet dårlig å si om dem, hun ene snakket til om med svensk Personlig […] bodde jeg på et enkeltrom, og er veldig fornøyd med valget mitt.(Men nå er ikke jeg så veldig nøye da) rommet var preget av noe eldre møbler, og det er ikke et luksushotell, men det er så absolutt godt nok til å sove over. Hadde tv, kjøleskap, safe(ekstrakostnad) fri internett-tilgang(litt dårlig signal på rommene, men det fungerer ganske bra) Badet var også fint, og alt fungerte, hadde ikke noen problemer på rommet. Frokosten var helt grei, man kunne bestille "english brekfast" (noe jeg aldri gjorde) så man kan få en god frokost der også. My Place Hotel er et meget godt alternativ i den prisklassen. Topp beliggenhet, med 100 m til t-bane som blant annet går direkte til Heathrow. Koselig strøk. Perfekt for de som skal på en helgetur og vil bruke minst mulig tid på reising, samt for de som vil ha et rimelig hotellopphold.

Meget trivelig og velholdt hotel midt i smørøye! Riktig nok ikke noe luksushotell, men til sammenligning med andre hoteler i London er dette et meget godt alternativ til andre i samme prisklasse. I thought the location being near a stop on the tube which was a direct line from Heathrow Airport was great. Having the tube within about 1000 ft of the hotel made it very convenient to all parts of the city. The staff was very helpful and gave great information about how to get around London. The room had a little to be desired. While the bathroom […] was new and very clean the sleeping area was not as clean. The room looked like the picture in their add but everything was faded and the colors were washed out. The ornate headboard was very dusty and when I mentioned it to the desk clerk hoping that she would have something done about it, I was disappointed when nothing was done to clean the headboard. The continental breakfast was OK but boring since it was exactly the same ting for the whole week. Overall I felt like I got what I paid for. Les mer

"The hotel"
I stayed twice last month and both times I found the staff to be super friendly and helpful, from reception, to cleaners and kitchen staff. The location is so easy with a 2 minute work to Earls Court tube and an easy walk to Kensington High Street. It's well worth the money as a three star hotel. Would stay again. Thank you!

I was overall satisfied with this hotel. Only a 5 min walk from the Earl's Ct Tube Station. Lots of facilities around- banks, restaurants, laundromats, pubs, and other public transportation means! The continental breakfast is OK but you can live without it. I had a room on the 6th floor -- and yes, they have an elevator, which isn't always available […] at this type of hotel -- and I could open the window to get fresh air w/o worrying about the fire alarm. The room was a double room and the only thing I'd like to point out is that the carpet was dirty and stained -- but the linen was clean and I got fresh towels every day. The receptionist, Natalia, was wonderful! It is, however, a 2 star hotel so don't expect much. I was pleased and would recommend it to anyone who wants a great deal for a hotel in London. Les mer
"Perfect jumping off place for the London tourist"
It's not luxurious by any means but works well as a base and place to stay for touring London. Good value for the price. We stayed 18 days. Free WiFi only covered the ground floor but there is a McD nearby that had a very good signal into our room. The Underground was only about a minute walk from the hotel so getting anywhere is London was a breeze. […] Staff was helpful and friendly. Booked even after reading poor reviews and went with low expectations and the hotel lived up to those low expectations! But for one night when in late and out early it was fine - I wouldn't plan to stay there for any length of time! Light was faulty, phone didn't work, window stuck open. It is the most horrible hotel I have ever stayed at. I hardly slept, all nigth, because it was so desgusting. I thought I booked a room at a hotel, not a hostel.

The only two things I liked about the hotel was the location and that the rooms were clean. Overall I could not recommend the hotel to anyone. We had a problem with the lights and when we asked at the desk about fixing them it seemed no one would do anything. I would definitely not stay here again.

I was expecting the worst after reading all the other comments, but to my surprise the hotel was actually half decent. The room was clean, even though a bit rugged and the carpets could use a change, and comfy even though it was small and looked like it was decorated by my grandmother. The trouser press, fridge and hair dryer all came in handy. Location […] is excellent, as the hotel is just around the corner from the tube stop, and it's on the piccadilly and district line in zone 1. The area has a lot of convenience stores, restaurants and pubs. Breakfast was actually really good as well, and i enjoyed it thoroughly. Too bad there was no wifi in the rooms, but the garden area was pretty nice too, and having to drag yourself downstairs to go online allows you to see the other hotel guests as well. Stayed in August 2011. No AC so street noise is a lot with windows open. Had fan and clean sheets. Bed was pretty hard though. Ok for one night. SUPER convienent and close to stuff!! Maybe like 2.5 stars....

NOT GOOD A GOOD EXPERIENCE. If I could say how I really felt, I think I would be sued by Hotels.com. This was terribly disappointing. I am grateful I have a sense of humor, without it I might have jumped from my 5th floor walk up...elevator didn't work. And no lights in the stairwells....oh yeah except of a floor lamp on the second floor.

I stayed in a single room on the sixth floor. The room was rather small, which would not have bothered me at all had it not been filled with large stuffed furniture intended for a much larger room (and era). The bed, on the other hand, was a single, not too comfortable affair with a footboard that kept banging my knee every time I passed by. (If you’re likely to be put off by a dirty torn mattress pad, don’t look under the nice clean sheets.) The carpet by the door was really dirty, but the bathroom was nice and clean. There was a hairdryer in the bathroom, which was very handy, and the shower was good and strong. There was also a television that offered three channels consisting of the same silly programming you can find on American television. The only thing I found annoying was the lighting—a dim overhead light, which made reading in bed a headache producer. (A lamp would be lovely!) Breakfast was included. It would have been more than adequate, but the "coffee" came out of a machine and was quite horrible. If you want to venture out for a decent cup of coffee and some great pastries, there’s a wonderful café just around the corner. It is obvious that at one time this was a lovely quaint hotel which is showing much wear around the edges. This could be over looked if the fraying edges didn't include thebed linens. Tight quarters could be ignored if all else was in order, but it is not. Toilet seats the hit one on the back during use is uneccessary. I stayed for 10 nights. A bit difficult to locate at first since the hotel sign is not usually lit, but the experience was very good: clean rooms, friendly staff, convenient location (literally just around the corner from the Earls Court tube station). A bit shabby in a charming, British way. Very good option for those with a limited travel budget. […] The very first night the room was cool and the water cold, but I did not complain; the next evening, I walked into my room to find a personal letter of apology for the inconvenience of a broken boiler which was now repaired--and a complimentary bottle of wine. The small refridgerator was helpful during my long stay, as well. I definitely recommend, but with one caveat: if you are staying on a Saturday night, make sure your room is on an upper floor and perhaps not streetside because the hotel operates a night club (don't know who thought that was a good idea!) that gets very noisy and rowdy. The neighborhood felt safe and had many good restaurants, as well as a post office and grocery store very close by. Overall, pleasant and enjoyable stay. Les mer

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel, completely worth for what is paid. Extremely polite staff, clean upholstery, good food. And most importantly very close to Earl's Court Tube station, made traveling very easy. Thumbs up.

"Window?"
having arrived ta the hotel we were given a room in this converted building that was between two old floors. There was a small window at the top of the room and at the bottom. There was no window to open in order to ventilate the room. The walls were dirty as was the carpet. During the Saturday night a strong smell of curry came from the ventilation […] in the bathroom. The landing was dark and in order to activate the automatic lights you had to virtually touch them. All in all the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The breakfast was also poor. Not a place for a comfortable few days. The hotels web site should be updated to show how bad some of the rooms are and how dirty the place is. On the web site the hotel looks ok, it's not. Les mer

Staff were very helpful and friendly. For the money, I didn't expect the five-star treatment, but improvements could be made. Rooms very small. No Iron or ironing board in room. Clean, but bedding was not changed regularly, but were made daily. Carpets were not hoovered in the two weeks of my stay, although rooms were clean and comfy otherwise. The […] central heating needs attention. Wardobes/clothes storage was minimal (non-existent in my friend's room). Room key cards failed several times and had to be re-charged by reception. They run a nightclub at the weekend, so make sure to ask for 2nd floor or higher, if you want peace and quiet. Internet access varies throughout the hotel, so it's not guaranteed in your room, although using the conference room downstairs was not a problem. On the plus side, breakfasts were good. Very near tube station (without hearing trains!) and plenty of good restaurants nearby. Les mer
