One of the most positive experiencies on our trip, was the Executive Inn at Woodbury. We stayed a full week in the beginning of September 2010, while following our daughter to her start at Long Island University-C.W Post. Friendly, positive and extremely effective staff. Very nice room that was clean and tidy, and the big and varied breakfast counter with Sonja and her omelette station is a nice start of the day. A big surprise was the complimentary "light dinner" served monday to thursdays - more or less a "full meal". Excellent. Prior to booking, we surfed the net and checked various alternatives. Due to some of the customer feedback we read, our expectations were not too high, but the price seemed "right for us", so we ordered. Due to some previous comments, it seems to us as if the Hotel has gone through a complete "makeover" the last months. Everything was far beyond what we expected, no malfunction on AC or water, sufficient hot water in bath and showers. No bugs, and extremely clean and well maintenanced. Even the pool and surroundings is in a much greater shape than the pictures credit. The whole athmosphere and friendly room-keepers and maintenance people we met, gave us an extremely pleasant stay. Even the hotel some of the days was quite full, we experienced no annoying noice, and easy parking. For our purpose the location is good, and we will most definately come back. Our best recommandations.

Et bra hotel med forholdsvis grei frokost med helt ok beliggenhet. Gratis mat på ettermiddagen var et stort pluss. Ligger ca. 30 minutter fra nærmeste strand med bil. Kan anbefales.

"Nice stay"
We stayed here but went into NYC every day (a little too far out). Some noise from the road next to the hotel (big trucks) but there really isn't that much traffic. Adult supercenter down the road to the LIE (kids laughed at that). Key did not work on side door, also, it was propped open one night. Clean, comfortable, nice breakfast, nice price.
I was very pleased with my hotel stay and I do intend to use this hotel more in the future.

"Problems at the Wingate hotel"
We were without internet for more than 24 hours. As an internet businessman, I rely on the internet to stay in touch with customers and orders. The hotel staff kept saying "they're working on it." Seems like there should be a backup system. Lots of stains on the carpet throughout the hotel. The tub was a bit slippery when taking a shower. The non-slip […] strips in the tub were worn away. The tub drain was slow. The employees always parked under the entrance canopy which jammed up the traffic for people trying to check-in. Even though the heater was on in the room, there was a cold draft coming between the heater and the wall. The maintenance people were clueless as to what to do. The basement meeting rooms are located right by the hotel maintenance/laundry spaces - not at all an attractive area. Les mer

Customer service rep lady was wonderful. She was very professional and nice to us. I requested her if there any possibility to get top level room, she did it with smile and no hesitation. Me and my wife been to this hotel before we liked from that time. We love this hotel and we will stay there again.....

The staff was very friendly, the room was clean and comfortable. This was my 2nd time staying there, and I plan to come back.
The fridge and microwave in the room was perfect...

My family and I booked for new years 2011 since we were attending a family gathering in Bayshore. It was convenient only 10 mins from my family house, clean and the employees very professional. I think the only downer was breakfast over by 10. I personally feel it should be @ least until 11 considering check out was @ 12. Overall, a very nice place […] ! Les mer

Hotel was very nice, clean rooms, good continental breakfast, solid hotel staff. Stayed there over Thanksgiving holiday and was very happy. Definitely worth the money...

I have used this Wingate by Wyndham hotel (Commack/Long Island) several times over a few years and have always found it to be clean , comfortable, and staffed with friendly people. It is not perfect, but it is not terrible either. Near the highway is always a bonus for me. Would recommend to anyone.

The trip I took up north was not a vacation for me, It was for a Funeral... and the last thing I needed to worry about was this hotel..or my flight up there..But after it was all over and I was back home ...I must say ... This hotel was very clean, very affordable, the room I was in was very large and they had an excellent complimentary breakfast, also […] at night (Sleeping) I felt safe...and that was very important to me or anyone ells....and at the time I didn't even think of these things.Over all this was a great Hotel. We stayed here after a late flight into JFK on our way further out on Long Island. The hotel appears to be recently renovated both externally and internally, and the rooms were nice, new looking, and clean. We reserved a pack and play for our toddler, and we called in advance to make sure it was there - we had to call twice and they said they would […] look for us but didn't guarantee they would have it, but when we arrived it was at the front desk for us. I only have two negatives. 1) the pillows were oversized but resistant to squish, so not very comfortable despite looking plush. 2) across the parking lot is a mulch pile a few stories large and a few of the items smelled of it (like the pack and play). Went to a family reunion in a nearby town and stayed one night at this hotel. Hotel was very clean and staff efficiently handled my reservation. My 5th floor room was quiet and I appreciated the fact that a fridge and microwave was in the room. High speed internet worked great. Was pleasantly surprised by the great continental breakfast. Bagels provided […] were extremely fresh and tasty. Breakfast room shared space with the lobby and was a pleasant location for breakfast. After so many years you must change the matresses and pillows which were well beyond their prime. The hotel was comfortable and affordable. We didn't find anything about the hotel that would prevent us from staying there again. I must say that reaching your location nearly caused an accident! We found ourselves taking Sagitos Pkwy exit 2 but from there was unsure where to go to reach Crooked Hill Road.
