Spent two night at this Day's Inn. Overall very good considering the price. The Inn is fairly new and has been well maintained. The Breakfast buffet was OK, for quick bite to eat and run. There was a High School Hockey team in the building and the staff were able to keep them under control, which was greatly appreciated. The staff seem to really care […] which made it a good stay. "Great Stay for the Prince"
Both rooms were great, we are a family of 6 including 3 teenage boys so joining rooms were a must. When checking in the staff was friendly and helpful. The salt water pool was a nice change, the breakfast was ok, the standard continental breakfast. Would definatly stay again.

There are no words to express our gratitude for Tone, Margaret and all the service staff. The lovely breakfast faciltiator always had a smile and was so efficient at keeping the food supplied for the guests. This Days Inn is fortunate to have such a professional and caring staff.

Have stayed at the Days Inn several times but this was the first time that we found the pillows and bed uncomfortable. The pillows were lumpy and the bed was very hard. Next time I will bring my own pillow and hopefully the beds will be upgraded.

We enjoyed our stay there. The staff was very friendly. The Rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast provided was well selected items and the room was clean and kept well attended and cleaned up by the staff.
A great hotel, clean, quiet, and comfortable. Would definitely stay there again. Didn,t get the impression that we were given a less than average room, as has happened when we have booked at some other hotels through hotels.com ...

We were very pleased with our accommodations. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and clean....no bed bugs. The hotel's pool was nice and clean and came in handy as the humidex was near 40 C. There was never a problem with noise and the hotel seemed very busy. The girls that worked the front desk, were very courtious […] and helpful. We have stayed at many different hotels throughout Ontario and this by far was the best. I was not that impressed with this hotels service. I had an important event on the day after I checked in. I was promised by the hotel staff that my clothes that were in the wash (waiting for the dryer to become available) would be taken into the staff dryers to be dried since the guest laundry facilities shuts down after 10 am. I woke the next morning […] to find that the staff forgot to dry my clothes. As a result, I had to wear jeans and t-shirt to my sons graduation in Borden. Also, I asked for clean towels and our garbage to be removed and was promised someone would be right up to do it. No one came. When I requested clean towels for when I returned from Borden and that I would pick them up from the desk on my way upstairs, I was told my room had been made up and included clean towels. Problem was, I had the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door but they came in anyways. The fridge did not work and the AC get shutting off every 20min for an hour each time. Also, the toilet would not shut off and the water kept rising over the rim and on to the floor. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. If a person is only staying 1 night, it is not so bad. I would not recommend this hotel if you are staying any longer. Breakfast was not very good at all. Not much variety. Les mer
"One bad thing"
I checked into my hotel around 9:30 pm. Went out to dinner in town and had a drink then back to the room around 11:30pm. The fire alarm sounded at midnight due to burnt popcorn on the second floor. It took them around 45 minutes to turn off the alarm. The alarm kept going off six (6) times in seven (7) hours. Each time it went off, it took at least […] ten minutes to turn off. I had to drive eight hours the next day and was only able to get one hour of uninterrupted sleep. Les mer

The staff was friendly. rooms were clean and spacious only problem was the fire alarm went off 3x during the night because of guests trying to make microwave popcorn.

"More than i expected"
For the price that i have paid, from my own exprience, i was expecting something less. But to my surprise, everything was very fine. Very good continental breakfast included. People were very attentive to our need and they helped us in finding what we wanted.

I am very familiar with Barrie and the surrounding area. We were hoping we would be in smoke free hotel,,which was not. My fiance is extremely alergic to smoke and spent the weekend with headaches form smelling smoke in the hallway leading to our room, Everytime we open the door the smell of smoke surounded us and eventually worked it's way into our […] room. This hotel was very clean and very roomy. It came with a fridge and a microwave which made our stay more enjoyable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would stay there again and I would recommend this hotel to others.

As a very new building I would expect far better sound proofing between rooms. We could actually hear the person above us going to the bathroom and brushing his teeth. Every time someone around us would flush the toilet we could hear it. Most room doors didn't have closures that worked properly and most guests slammed their doors well into the wee hours […] of the morning. We didn`t sleep more than 4 hours all night!!!!! Although the price was fantastic, I would not recommend this place to anybody but an insomniac. Les mer

The Days Inn, Barrie, Ontario is easily accessible from the major highway and has good parking. The overall hotel was very clean and has a fresh smell when you walked into the room. The beds were comfortable and both the linen and towels were nice and white. It has a real nice clean seating area for the complimentary breakfast that was very well presented. The Inn was good. Central to everything we wanted to do. Water Park, caves in Collingwood,Zipline at Horse Shoe resort, horse back riding,Shopping.Having laundry facilies was a plus.

We found the staff excellent and helpful, everything that we requested we got AND with a smile (rare in this day and age). The beds were very, very comfortable and spotless. The room was lovely with the comfort of your own living room. The pool and sauna were an added bonus. The breakfast was out of this world and FREE (what a double bonus). Everything […] that we needed outside the hotel was only a few minutes drive away. We enjoyed every moment of our stay in the hotel and will definitely advise other people to stay there. Thanks to the Day's Inn Staff for all of your special treatment. The only one disappointment and its only a very small one was that the TV remote didn't work, but we phoned and within two seconds a person was at the door to look at it - so no problem there either. "Excellent mid range hotel"
Stayed here while in Barrie for Canada Day celebrations. A excellent mid range hotel with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Staff couldn't do enough for us and the breakfast was really good. If I have one critism is there was no kettle in the room, just a coffee machine so when we wanted tea we had to go to reception for the hot water (two of […] us drank tea, one coffee).
