Hvis man leter etter et stille sted ved kysten av New England så er Jamestown ideelt, og dette hotellet et godt valg. Kort kjøretur til Newport, og med Boston, Cape Cod og Plymouth innenfor en dagsturs avstand. Hotellet har en klassisk og særpreget stil, og ligger med fin utsikt utover sjøen og brua til Newport. Restauranten var dessverre stengt fra søndag til tirsdag. Det er andre gode restauranter innenfor gangavstand, men ikke mange å velge mellom.

Flott hotell med god standard og super beliggenhet; sentralt, men ingen støy. Nytt og elegant. En positiv opplevelse, god valuta for pengene.

"Beware off Season Restrictions"
The room was comfortable, though rather cramped, but it was disappointing to find that not only the restaurant but even the bar was closed (except weekends) because it was out of season (late April) .

"Lovely hotel"
Lovely hotel across from beach and close to the cliff walk. One of the buildings is on the historic registry of hotels and the other has an indoor pool and an indoor and outdoor jacuzzi. The outdoor one in on the roof top and is lovely. The also have an outdoor firepit, gym, and a restaurant. I stayed one night with a girlfriend and both of us were […] very pleased. "Worked Very Well For Getaway With Teenagers"
Having a one bedroom suite worked out great. It gave my teenage daughters and myself some wiggle room. The kitchen made my life much easier (one daughter has a medical condition that necessitates a special diet) and the bathroom with jacuzzi tub was a treat. "Nothing like the photo"
I was very excited to go to the hotel but was very disappointed when i got there. The swimming pool and other amenities was at the other side of the street. There was two hotel building. Through the pictures of the web site you cant really tell..Also the swimming pool is really small and could bearly fit 4 people. The room was ok but small.

When you see the picture of the website, it is mainly for Suites building. I had no idea. There are two buildings. 1 called historical which is cheaper because Suits building you see on the website has kitchen etc. So when you book, don't be disappointed because it does not look like the website picture if you get historical building side. "Most Relaxing Hotel"
Very relaxing hotel and close to eveything of interest. I loved having coffee early morning in the park across the street and watching the sky meet the sea.

As long as you realize that this hotel isn't in the woods or straight on the beach, as it appears in the photos, it is a great getaway. The rooms (at least in the suite building - we have never stayed in the historic building) are clean, comfortable, well decorated. They have great bathrooms with jacuzzi-style tubs and nice bath products. There is an […] outdoor jacuzzi, which is a ton of fun in the winter! The suites also have full kitchens with everything you need to cook for yourself. What a great place to stay! We stayed only two nights in horrible weather, but the location and the size of the suite was really impressive and we made the most out of it and had a blast. We were actually in their roof top jacuzzi in a snow storm over looking the ocean! It was awesome and quite memorable. We stayed in the jacuzzi for hours. They had […] an indoor pool and a jacuzzi inside, but we preferred the rugged weather and the beauty of the snowy night! What fun. The local wine we purchased earlier that day also had a big factor in keeping us warm! Les mer

The staff was exceptionally accomodating and friendly. Though their was not a week day breakfast at the hotel, they recommended great places to eat. The rooms were very well supplied and comfortable beds. Though the heat at times seemed to blow cool air, the room was very comfortable. I would stay here again upon returning to Newport , RI

We drove to Rhode Island from Connectitut for our grandson's winter vacation. The hotel has 2 buildings. The historic building and the new suites building across the street. We were in the suites building. Our hotel room [202] was fabulous as our 16 year old had his own king bed room with his own bathroom. The suite design has each bedroom/bath on opposite […] ends with a living room/kitchen in between. Each room has a large flat screen TV. The suite provides privacy and is perfect for a couple with children or 2 couples. The water views from every room were breath taking. The kitchen has high end appliances with bags of Starbuck coffee. There is even a dish washer with a cycle for crystal which is perfect to clean our coffee cups and whatever glasses we used during the day. The room was extremely clean with tons of towels and soaps and shampoos. The showers are gorgeous with marble and granite. The beds qre very comfortable. We were a short walk up a few stairs to a whirl pool and pool. There was a fitness center in the historic part of the hotel. We used both the pool and the fitness center and were very satisfied. Our only complaint was the shabby pull out couch in the living room. It was very very uncomfortable and did not fit the lovely decor of the room. We did not eat breakfast in the hotel. The restaurant was not open for lunch or dinner until the season begins. There were restaurants within walking distance. The hotel is located near the cliff walk. We were able to enjoy walking on the beach because of the warm winter weather. I would definitely return to this hotel in the future. OMG, forgot to mention there is a stacking washer and dryer in the room. After we worked out or used the pool, I was able to wash and dry our bathing suits and work out gear!!! This was out third time staying at the Newport Beach Hotel & Suites. When we looked out our window, we could see the ocean and were able to see the horizon. What an experience to be able to see the sun set from your window!! A five minute drive to the center of Newport, what else can one ask for! We stayed in the new part which are the suites and it was beautiful, clean, modern and adid not lack for any amenities. Lovely ocean view on one side and pond view on the other. Love the location as you are in walking distance to the beach and cliffwalk, yet only a mile to Newport and shopping etc... The bed was so comfortable. We got the 1000 square […] foot corner room and it was perfect and quiet. We used the spa services and really enjoyed those as well as the pool and hot tub. The hot tub and firepit on the roof was nice too. Wish it was a little warmer out! The food in the hotel was very good too. The price was an incredible value as it was winter. I could not afford it in the summer though. Plus we stopped at the casino on our way home!! Les mer
"Wonderul off season stay"
Winter weather was great this year. Hotel took great care of us. Great office support. Great suite. Great rate for February. We were able to have a walk on First Beach on Valentines Day with our coffee. Wonderful stay.

The room we were staying in was has to be the smallest hotel room we ever stayed in. My boyfriend and I are both tall and big and we found it really hard to move around in the room---because there were no extra space, at all!!

My wife and I got away for our combined birthdays and we could not have picked a better location for a weekend winter getaway. The hotel suite was clean, modern, comfortable, well mantained and quiet. It was what we wanted for our overnight stay. The indoor pool was very nice and clean and the hot tub was very enjoyable. I have traveled a decent amount and this is one of my favorite places I've stayed! To begin its less than five Minutes from Newport town center. The hotel is also rate on the water with many amenities such as pool,rooftop jacuzzi, full fitness center and a restaurant in the lobby(which didn't get to eat at) . We had to visit St. George's Academy nearby early the next morning, so the Hotel was a great location, older/worn around the edges and old smells in the hall way, but that goes with New England "ocean historic". Arrived late; the (only) restaurant was about to close, but they promised they would stay open later for us. Dinner package amazing quality […] (sirloin steaks perfectly done, al dente vegetables, hot fresh rolls, etc., and Peter (waiter) gets special accolades. Room was crowded, but nice amenities, especially helpful having a microwave, coffeemaker and mini-fridge in the room. Calling the hotel operator was a challenge (ask how to do it before you go up to your room). Found someone's used, old soap in the bathtub soap holder and hot water was iffy in the morning when everyone was taking showers. Otherwise, staff were great, beds and quilts super comfortable, ocean view in morning really special. We would definitely stay there again. Les mer

I would recommend this hotel highly - the value was great, the room was fabulous, the staff was extremely helpful and friendly - I just wish the lounge had been open, we wouldn't have gone out at all!

We loved the hotel and it's accommodations. We stayed in a 2-bedroom suite in the new building. It was large, very well appointed and immaculate when we arrived. We liked having a TV and DVD player in each bedroom as well as the living room. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, etc. The only issues we had were with the heating....it […] took a while to warm up and if you lowered the thermostat, it felt like the A/C kicked in. WOW!!!! What a great suite and the location couldn't be beat. There were many restaurants and a convienence store all within walking distance. The view was beautiful, and jacuzzi perfect after a day of beach hikes.

"So much more than we expected!"
We were coming to Newport for a family event in the November off-season and just needed a place to lay our heads. With two girls, ages 4 and 6, it was a bonus to have the second bedroom for such a great price. The best part of all was the phenomenal indoor pool with adjoining hot tub and the roof deck with hot tub, fire pit and music. The views of the […] ocean and the pond were beautiful. Food in the restaurant was great and a super value for the money. You can walk across the street to the beach. Flat screen tvs in both bedrooms and the sitting room. Nice toiletries. I bet this place is happening in the summer! We had a wonderful time as a family and highly recommend it. We would definitely stay here again! Les mer

I booked this hotel at the last minute. Got a rate that sounded too good to be true, but was pleasantly surprised. Very comfortable bed, good size room, and friendly staff.
