Hyggelig sted med rene rom og koselig hage. Frokosten hadde ikke det største utvalget, men det viktigste. Stedet ligger like ved Highway 1 så det er enkelt og komme til og fra. Stedet ligger et lite stykke unna Carmel sentrum, og man bør vurdere å kjøre da veien fra sentrum ikke er opplyst og det blir veldig mørkt om kvelden. Hvis en skal bo flere dager/ feriere i Carmel, ville jeg ha bodd nærmere sentrum. Hvis man bare stopper innom Carmel på vei nedover kysten er imidlertid stedet et bra og rimelig alternativ!

Et helt greit hotel for overnatting i dette området. Fint turterreng i området rundt våtmarkene nær hotellet med masse fugleliv.

Carmel is a weird place. Lots of money everywhere, but this hotel was reasonably priced. Very large and well decorated room, good parking and close to restaurants etc. Excellent service at front desk. Good Wifi. Breakfast was standard for US hotels - quite underwhelming.

"Very nice hotel!"
Comfortable, quiet, attractive hotel. Great staff. Good value for Monterey. I would definitely stay here again.
I am a light sleeper and I did not sleep at all. You can hear people walking around, water running and more. If you are a heavy sleeper no problem. For the rest of us it was a nightmare. The carpets are very old and had a smell in the hallway but not as much in the room. The bed was comfortable. Too much money for what we got.
"Too warm - no A/C; Bed too soft"
Needed A/C. Outside air in evening was nice and cool but with window on only one side the cool air would not circulate into the room. Mattress is too soft - not good back support. Need a hand hold to assist getting in and out of the tub. I am not handicapped but would have flelt more secure with something nearby to just hold lightly when getting out. […] Another towel bar in the bathroom would make it easier to save towels from unnecessary laundering. Room temperature probably not a problem if it ever gets really cold both day and night. "Awesome value & location"
For a decent price this hotel offers is an easy access location to old Monterey, the wharf, old Carmel, etc. I loved how clean our room was. I loved the comfortable decor and fireplace and in-room bar area. Highly recommended.

"Abrego Stay"
We're from Northern Virginia and spent Spring Break in California. Hotel Abrego was a nice and convenient place to stay. Free parking was nice. The only real "complaint" we had was that they advertised the pool as being "heated to 80 degrees". That's quite misleading. In actuality, 80-degree water is being pumped into the pool. Once that hits the existing […] cold water in the pool and the 55-degree ambient air, the water temperature is nowhere near 80 degrees. Truth in advertising would have been nice. Les mer
"Just what you want, where you want it"
Excellent location in Monterey, with convenient access to everything you could want to do. Room was comfortable for three(2 queen beds), fireplace and furnishings were a nice touch.

The gentleman who checked us into the hotel explained the various services available to guests & was very helpful & congenial. The hotel more than exceeded our expectations & I would not hesitate in recommending it to others.

I book a hotel on this site before in Monterey about 3 years ago. It turned out to be a DUMP!!!! Walk away from the hotel and just took it as a loss. The hotel was horrible. As I pull into this hotel it was the same location as DUMP I had stayed at before. New ownership, and WOW what a difference. I would stay here again for sure.
"Very Nice Room"
The hotel was very clean inside and out. The room was a nice size, but the bathroom did not have much space for toiletries. The pool was dull so don't expect a great experience. The spa is pretty tiny. There are a lot of diffrerent levels to the hotel. Our section did not have an elevator, but the main building does. The hotel is 1/2 mile straight up […] the road from the wharf so that was very convenient. This looks to be one of the better hotels in the area. I'd recommend it even though our neighbors were very noisy on day one of our two night stay, but the manager was very attentive to the problem. The hotel offers packages with or without breakfast. I'd suggest you go to the wharf and eat and enjoy the scenary if you have the time. Les mer

I rated everything 5 except the hotel service because I was out playing golf all three days. I did not need any or know about the services so I rated it 3. "Close to everything"
Very new and close to resturants and shopping.
Great place to stay for business. Loved the fireplace/room heat system. Rates were reasonable. Hotel restaurant staff were very pleasent and and helpful.
I wish the tv picture quality was better...it was very poor. I also wish that you could actually see the fireplace when you were laying on the bed or sitting on the chaise.

II stayed one night while driving down the coast and the hotel was great! I was nervous that it was more of a motel but the rooms were clean and spacious! the Fireplace was amazing and the staff was great! plus they gave us a bottle of wine when we told them it was our honeymoon. "Hotel Abrego in Monterey--clean and comfortable!"
One of the nicest hotels we've stayed at in Monterey so far. The Premier Fireplace room was roomy and comfortable. We enjoyed the comforts of the fireplace and the chaise lounge as well. Openable windows throughout the unit and bathroom along with the balcony were a plus. The front lobby staff and cleaning staff were helpful. "It's a nice place"
The room we had during our first stay was wierd... above the restaurant, heard a lot of downstairs chatter, the smell of food would permiate in our room. But the basic ammenities are nice. Nice bed, updated room, clean. The second time we stayed we got a room in the separate building from the lobby. It was super nice. Had a great time - would prefer a different sink but otherwise the room was very comfortable and quiet. Very convenient to all the areas that we visited.
"Try to get an upstairs unit"
Recently built and or renovated. New furnishings and fittings throughout. Kids staying upstairs from us were a distraction with their occassional running and stomping of feet. The noise seemed to travel more than other places I've stayed. I would definitely stay there again, although I'd try to get an upstairs unit. Overall a solid 4 stars.

Our stay at the abrego was very comfortable. The rooms were clean and updated. The breakfast was just okay and the norm for a hotel, but the staff were all polite and very attentive. The quality of service from the staff was a marked surprise for my wife and I. they went above and beyond in making sure we were comfortable and had everything while we […] were dining. We were pleasantly surprised when we went back for breakfast teh next day and the staff remembered us and warmly brought us back to the same table as the previous day. Some might say its a little too much, but for a traveling family on a budget, its nice to be treated so well. We bought monterey aquarium tickets from the hotel, which allowed us to return the next day for free. As mentioned earlier the rooms were emmaculate and there was some serious effort put into the updated modern design. The only complaints I might have would be that the opening for the room safe was too small to fit my laptop ( Never had that problem before at other places) and the lack of a microwave in the room. one of the best hotel we had stayed in USA, much better then many 5 star hotel in the bigger city, at a much reasonable priced. modern and sleek design room, with up to date flat screen tv, great modern fireplace, comfortable beds, rooms are spacious and clean, little bacony, free wifi access, etc. the only one complaint we have is the shower, water […] pressure is very low for both rooms we have booked. unable comment on inhouse food, as there is is quite alot of food pleace nearby. carpark is secured and receptionist are very helpful in request and also helping to recommend surrounding attractions and outside restaurants with special discount. relatively near to fishermen wharf (15 mins walk) and also short driving distance to other attractions. centrally located. "Hotel Abrego in Monterey - not so clean"
There was not a clean surface (except the bed - which was fabulous) in the room. The carpet was filthy, the desk and bedside table did not look like they had been even wiped down (glass rings, food stains, etc), the sink at soap marks around the counter and the desk chair was stained. "A few fries short of a Happy Meal..."
We really loved the interior decorating of the room & bathroom.. simply cool! However, it was the small things that made our stay subpar. First, the positives: Comfortable King Bed, Lots of Pillows, Comfortable Chaise Lounge, Nice Adjustable Big Screen, Nice Roomy Shower (enough for 2 people at the same time). Now, the negatives: No TV Guide in the […] room, No Premium Movie Channels (e.g., HBO, etc.), No Fitness Room, No Business Center, Pool/Hot-tub is across the parking lot (who wants to walk that far in swim clothes??), the set up of the Breakfast area (i.e., a waiter who does nothing & expects a tip.. also, no TV downstairs lounge),.... and the biggest complaint... we paid for this room because of the fireplace and it barely put out a flame.. a nightlight is brighter! "Lillte gem"
This hotel is beautiful. Comfy clean room obviously recently remodled. More than worth the price. I actually witnessed the cleaning crew mopping down the walls!! Super clean place.
