Hotel Bologna - Pisa

Stayed here for one night on the way to the Cinque Terre. Very impressed with the location and overall feel of the hotel. The bed was a bit hard for me but the shower pressure was great. About a 15 minute walk to the Tower, we were able to go see the tower after breakfast and be back before check out. Would definitely recommend to others.

Located two mins from the river. We took the hop-on-hop-off bus to see the city - tickets in the hotel. Lovely staff, smiling, friendly and helpful. Comfortable room with tea/coffee and individual AC unit - v warm at the mo in Pisa. Highly recommend this hotel.

The staff and accomodations could not have been nicer. From the complimentary water in the minin-bar to apcking breakfast to go bags for an early morning departure - they were so accomodating. And, the staff has the BEST restaurant recommendations. Highly recommend.

Everything about this hotel is top notch. The location is great, the staff is super friendly and helpful, there is a lift, and the breakfast is excellent. BUT....the walls are paper thin. I heard the ladies next to me wake up at 4 a.m., then a wake up call, then an alarm, then whispers. Thank goodness I had packed ear plugs. The next night on the other […] side, a family with kids and the dad liked to sing. I even felt uncomfortable using the facilities trying to be quiet. After finding the Hotel (very hard to do), we were treated very well. Staff was helpful from the time we drove our rented car into their parking area, in fact parked the car for us because of the small spaces. We asked if someone could show us how to get to the airport early the next morning as we were afraid of getting lost again, and needed to be […] there by 8:00 am., someone drove the shuttle from the hotel and said for us to follow him. VERY NICE thing to do, of course we tipped him, but it was so reassuring to us as we had to drop off our car for the flight to London. Room was exceptional, even bath slippers for us. We spent 4 days in Pisa at Hotel Bologna and had a wonderful stay. The hotel is in a great location, 10min walk to train station, 5/10min walk to restuarants/shops etc. and 10/15min walk to Leaning Tower. Our triple room was of a good size, kept clean and had a great bathroom (lovely shower!). Buffet breakfast was plentiful with fab pastries, cakes […] and hot chocolate! Hotel staff were very helpful, directed us to a great pizza restaurant Le Scuderie (!?) where we had a metre long pizza and 2 beers for 20 euros - delicious! Fab icecream shop just over the bridge - La Bottega de Gelato - definitely recommend going there! During our 4 days we also took 2 day trips - to Florence & Lucca - both great, Lucca is a gorgeous little place. Our first trip to Italy will not be our last! Les mer

Stayed here December 23rd on a quick stop in Pisa. the hotel is great, clean, updated, and at an excellent price. It was about a 10 minute walk from the train station and then about 15 minutes to the leaning tower. There are restaurants and shops nearby within walking distance. The breakfast buffet was excellent. We don't have a single complaint for […] this hotel, it was one of the nicer ones we stayed at on our entire trip and was the cheapest. We would have enjoyed staying longer in Pisa but already had other plans. We would definitly go back. Les mer

Can't say enough good things about our experience at this hotel. Our expectations were met and often exceeded. The staff was especially helpful. Even though we arrived at 2am due to flight problems, the person at reception still was kind enough to serve us glasses of wine. Our room was clean and comfortable with all the expected amenities. Usually mini […] bars are a rip off with high prices, but we found the prices for items offered to be very fair and a good value. The hotel offers a lovely hot breakfast each morning and everything was delicious. As for the location, it is very good - a short walk to Pisa's shopping streets. We walked everywhere we wanted to go. The famous leaning tower of Pisa was maybe a 20-25 minute walk. The Pisa train station is also about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. We took the train for a day trip to Florence Italy which was very nice and only 6EUR per person each way. If you visit Pisa, we would also recommend taking the train to visit Florence. When we plan our next trip to Pisa Italy, we will definitely stay at Hotel Bologna again. Les mer

It was a nice stay at the Bologna Hotel for three days, the rooms are good, breakfast is what you expect. The only problem for me was the internet connection since i was there for work and needed to be connected.

The hotel is really close to the train station (just 5 minutes walking). Even if it is raining, at least half of the road is under some galleries. It is close to the historical center. The room is nice, clean and everything is freshly renovated and up-to-date, the staff is very welcoming and helpful! The internet connection is reliable. I was in Pisa for one night and this was perfect. Saturday night was bustling in town and this was located perfectly to walk everywhere! The staff was super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very tasty - i loved the fresh tomatoes and mozzerella. What a way to dive into Italy! My room was small, but I didn't need much more. It was quiet and I […] felt safe. Hotel is well located to station and key sights, with most things in Pisa being easy walking distance. Hotel room was a bit small but very clean and tidy. An excellent service overall. There is also a bus stop outside the hotel that takes you to the airport ever 15 minutes (10 minute journey).

Excellent location, close to everything in Pisa, only a 15 minute stroll to the leaning tower. Great shopping, bars & restaurants and very Italian. Eat in the less touristic spots & you will find great food & wine. The airport is so close to the city centre, its just a short bus or cab journey & the transport links to other cities are very good.

An excellent position with a short walk across the river to the Leaning Tower and the center of Pisa. Excellent breakfast and very good service.

Friendly service, rooms clean and comfortable, convenient for the airport, with own shuttle bus service and complimentary breakfast buffet was fine. The only downsides were its a 20 mins walk from the Leaning Tower and 10 minutes to the best restaurants.

I only stayed here one evening. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. Met and exceeded all expectations. Very professional and courteous. Will stay here again next time I travel.

I can't recommend this hotel enough. It was clean and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. It was in a good central location for seeing the sights of Pisa and they have their own car service, which was helpful as we had a very early flight the next morning.

This is a beautiful hotel in a quiet area of Pisa. A short walk away from the cathedral and leaning tower.

All hotels in Pisa appear to be very expensive compared to other cities and particularly compared to hotels we visit around Ireland. However, this hotel is very conveniently located, staff are pleasant and accessible and rooms are clean. Thankfully our room was also quiet.

a cute hotel, conveniently located just south of the river arno and no more than 12 mins walk to piazza miracoli. spotless, great breakfast (for italy) and a nice terrace to sit and end the day on. 7 mins from pisa centrale. would definitely recommend!!!!

This is the third time I have stayed at Hotel Bologna and I have been very satisfied every time. The location is ideal, the staff were very helpful and our room was clean and quiet with Air con. The breakfast is very good with a wide range of possibilities.

Hotel Bologna is centrally located and beautifully maintained. Excellent staff and facilities. Made good use of the outside terrace which is comfortable and spacious. Room clean and comfortable with extra features such as tea/coffee making facilities and television with English channels. Breakfast way above any other hotel I have stayed in Pisa. This was a cute, small, attractively designed and well-maintained room in an older, charming building. This is not a high-end luxury hotel. The staff were very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. This hotel offered excellent value for money; 3-star rates for 4-star quality. Our room and bathroom were very spacious and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was an excellent buffet including bacon and scrambled eggs (a favourite with many guests). We really enjoyed staying at this hotel and highly recommend it.

We stayed for one night on our way to the airport in the morning. This hotel blew us away with its ammenities. One hour of free internet per day, US newspapers and TV channels, shuttle to the airport for a nominal fee. The breakfast was also outstanding, I think the best we had in Italy the whole 2 weeks we were there. the hotel is situated approximately 10 to 15 minutes walk from the train station. on approaching the hotel there was alot of building work going on in the street which gave us some concerns but on entering the hotel it was all forgotten. the staff at the hotel were friendly and helped to correct my poor itailian. the room we had was nice but was situated […] in the centre of the hotel so at night it became very hotel, so we had to have the air/con on all night. the breakfast was basic but there was plenty there to fill yourself up on. the hotel is approximately 25 to 30 minutes walk from the tower. this was really nice walk in late in the evening and ideal time for an ice cream when returning to the hotel. The hotel staff were very helpful and the hotel overall was very nice. There was a nice selection for breakfast. Parking was available for a fee. There were restaurants in close proximity and all the sites to see were within a reasonable walking distance. The only complaint was that the rooms were not insulated very well. You could easily hear people […] talking in the hallway outside the room. So dependent on how "considerate" the people were in other rooms ultimately determined the quality of your sleep. Just 10 mins from the train station so good spot for exploring the area.

Upon arrival at the airport we phoned the hotel and their shuttle service was with us in minutes. Checking in was simple, we were given a map where the receptionist then marked areas of interest and nearby restaurants. This cost the same as some 2 star hotels were charging but the service was 4 star. The bar shut at 12.00 but if you wanted the night porter would serve you at any time during the night. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The room was small but nice and the air conditioning worked really well. It was definately up to Italian […] 4 star standards. Les mer

Nice place in a good area. Was new and the staff very helpful and attentive. My single room was VERY small, but that was fine for my purposes.
