The Westin Resort - Nusa Dua Bali - Nusa Dua

It was a pleasant stay - we stayed at this hotel a few years ago and the standard has not dropped, which is good. The lighting at the IKAN restaurant could be improved though - we could not see what we want to order or eat. The SPA team members are all very professional, friendly and always on time.

Not a bad stay and was recognised as a gold card member which was nice. However, the hotel is big and busy and so if you are looking for a quiet get away, this is not really the place (but would be the same comment for any of the big hotels in Nusa Dua). Service is OK, but is lacking a bit of the Indonesian "Charm". Overall not bad for a weekend stay, […] but not for a "long haul paradise" trip. I would avoid any times there is a big convention which maybe often given the size of the fuction areas of the hotel and which they are expanding. Les mer

My wife and I were overwhelmed during our stay at this luxurious hotel. We were fortunate to compare as we stayed at a four star resorte prior. The beach was beautiful, clean, and peaceful. The views were magnificent and the hotel service paid very close attention to detail. We loved it.

Everything there is very good. The swimming pool is quite deep (1.4 to 2.2m ). BF is ok wide range. The bed is perfect, very nicely decor.

Was delighted with the service, room and facilities. Definately will return to this hotel if I am back in Bali. Regret staying for only 1 night there. Beach was very well maintained. If you want a perfect peaceful beach holiday, u got to choose The Westin!!

We spent 10 days at the Westin in early January. The room was a family suite, and it was an excellent option for our family of four with two kids in their mid-teens. Other food options on site were a bit expensive for us, but I guess to be expected when booking […] a five star quality hotel. Bali Collection, a shopping centre, is close by and has a lot of food option when the hotel's option are not what you are looking for. I had visions of lazing around more than we did, the kids wanted to get out of the resort and do 'Bali' things, so we had an active stay and didn't take full advantage of the on site facilities, and for this Nusa Dua is a perhaps not the best location, as traffic means it is two hours or more drive from many of the activities in central Bali. A really nice hotel, but more of a large convention style hotel, which is logical being next to the convention center. If you want a smaller less formal place might try somewhere else. The Westin is stylish, peaceful and a haven from the hustle and bustle of Bali. Great, I really love every facilities in the hotel -room is so clean and comfortable, close to Bali Collection (within walking distance), sea is calmer than other resorts in Nusa Dua location. I cycled for one hour and enjoyed the scenary. Strongly recommended.

The food was great and the hotel service is impeccable. Rooms are very comfortable but small sleeping area. Bathroom is very spacious with a walk in Shower and Tub and the lighting is superb throughout the room.

The Westin Nusa Dua was the perfect place to stay for our trip to Bali. The hotel itself is beautiful and is kept impeccably clean. The beaches are beautiful, and despite going during the height of tourist season, it wasn't over crowded. We were able to find chairs by the pool or under the cabanas without any trouble. Though drinks are fairly pricey […] ($12 USD for most poolside concoctions, $6.50 for beer) the food wasn't outrageous ($15 pp for poolside burgers and sandwiches). Our room was wonderful, and the staff even sent us up free cake on our second day because we mentioned we were celebrating our anniversary. Such a warm touch! Our only complaint was that the tours recommended by the concierge were wildly overpriced. $120 for a driver for 8 hours, and we found our own for $50 for 10 hours. This can be avoided if you just do a little planning a head of time. We will definitely be staying at the Westin Nusa Dua on our next trip to Bali. Les mer

Westin Resort was absolutely beautiful. Westin name kept with its promise....the resort was clean, food was amazing, staff very friendly.... Great place for families, couples and singles. We stayed in the Westin for 5 nights in August. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about the Westin, but would not say it should be a first choice for couples. There is nothing negative to say about the hotel, but personal opinion is it is more suitable for families. If you don't mind relaxing by the pool to the sound of kids playing around then you'll […] be fine, we didn't mind it, but i can imagine some childless couples would not find this a part of their 'relaxation holiday'. The staff were extremely polite and attentive. One gentleman, i wish we'd got his name, served us most days at the pool bar with such a bubbly nature, he really stood out to us during our stay. The hotel has direct access to the beach and what a beach!!! The Westin is in a perfect location, just a few minutes short stroll from the Bali Collection Shopping Complex, and the actual entrance to Nusa Dua where a handful of markets are located. I will happily recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of staying in Nusa Dua, and will keep The Westin in mind for our next stay in Bali. We stayed with our 19 month old son for 6 nights in a Deluxe Garden Terrace room. Right from our check in to our check out we experienced great service. What most impressed us was the friendliness and attentiveness of all of the staff-from the reception staff to the gardeners we were always acknowledged with a friendly smile and a "hello". Our room […] choice suited us as it looked out onto the beautiful, lush gardens (all very well maintained) which allowed our son room to explore. The bathroom was huge and the separate bath and shower space was a nice change from most hotel bathrooms. The breakfast choices were outstanding with a wide selection of very fresh food. We ate some of our evening meals at the hotel (all were very nice) but if you want a wider, cheaper selection I would recommend the nice stroll down to Bali Collection. The beach area was well maintained and perfect for kids to explore the shallows. There were a small number of hawkers but they didn't bother you too much after you said "no" to whatever they were selling The pools were all well maintained with plentiful loungers to choose from. The only negative with the pool was that a large area of it was too deep for adults to stand on the bottom, let alone small children. This is definitely a resort which benefits families with children. From the kids eating area at breakfast to the kids club there is a chance for parents to experience a little (or a lot!) of time out. We will be back! Les mer

Excellent resort hotel, very nice and modern, it deserves all 5 stars! The Westin lobby is beautiful and Check-in was a breeze and the hotel staff was great. There is free wireless internet in the lobby at all times. I had a deluxe king room with a garden view and it was lovely – modern, clean, marble bathroom with a large bath tub and a separate standing […] shower area. I am very fussy about hotel bathrooms and I must say the Westin bathroom was excellent. The bed and other room amenities were great. The balcony was kind of small, enough for 2 average people to stand – I wasn’t too fussed as I didn’t need to be on the balcony. Housekeeping comes every day and they are excellent. There is room service 24/7. The swimming pool is lovely. The sun loungers by the pool are amazing. The hotel gardens are lovely and very well maintained. I did not dine in any of the restaurants however I must say they looked lovely with great views. The beach area has plenty more sun loungers and beach bales (huts) around which were great, its best to swim in the first half of the day when the tide is higher than in the late afternoons. There is a free shuttle every day to Bali Collection (nearby shopping centre in Nusa Dua) and another one to Duty Free shopping centre (near Kuta which is where Bali Galleria Shopping Mall is), they were available every hour to and fro and were very convenient. The Westin is a fantastic hotel and suited my young family (6,4 & 2). It was exactly what we were looking for. The food was of a great standard and the Saturday night seafood buffet was amazing. I would highly recommend The Westin to all travellers, a great location on the beach and the pool never felt overcrowded.

Very nice hotel. We went during school holidays as a couple - so expected quite alot of kids, families etc by the pool. Less facilities than the Laguna next door to the Westin and the rooms aren't quite as big, but a great hotel none the less.

Good clean resort, friendly staf suitable for couples and families . Dining options meet everyone's taste, breakfast excellent . Wifi and PC in main foyer area is free, rooms incur a charge. Definitely would stay at the Westin again

The total hotel experience in Westin Resort was good, but not good as we was expected. The hotel services are really fast, and the performance and music from gamelan upon arrival felt so welcoming. The hotel facilities and service are 5 stars. The breakfast area surprisingly indicate Halal and Non-Halal section, which really convenient for a Muslims […] guest. The room are clean and nice, but the space quite small. The Heavenly Bed® as advertised in the website are not so "heavenly", we love our bed in Puri Sunia Resort more. The hot shower somehow suddenly turn to cold shower even we already set it at 40+ degrees, and later turn to really hot shower! Les mer

The Westin Resort in Nusa Dua is a great resort for anyone looking to visit Bali. The resort is impressive in its own right, and has plenty of amenities to fulfill the needs of young and old alike. If you are planning a trip to Bali, and are confused about where to stay, this hotel is perfect. Here are a few of the highlights of this hotel, and Bali […] in general: 1. Nusa Dua is much more picturesque than other areas of Bali, and the hotel provides a lush background of greenery coupled with a beautiful beach and plenty of swimming pools 2. The breakfast buffet at the resort is nice - and reasonably priced (USD 25 per person) 3. The Weston has a very kids friendly atmosphere, with children's sofas in the lobby, a kids club in the resort, and a kids pool - children between the age of 1 and 12 will have a great time 4. Nusa Dua is NOT far from other areas of Bali - and drivers are extremely cheap. A personal driver for 10-hours will cost you approximately USD 40 - who is at your disposal for the entire day. Its better to draw out a plan for the day beforehand, but if you're unable to, the guide can provide you with his own version of a Bali tour. Pick up some of the brochures from the airport when you land and give them a call when you reach the hotel - they are cheaper than the drivers suggested by the resort. The waterslide on the resort is a bit mad. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone, especially not young children. Les mer

All depends very much on expectations. Warm climate and people are genuinely kind. Winter months bear too much rainfalls, so be prepared for some disappointments. This is kids' and Russians' resort, so if one doesn't like loud talks, screams, full pool and general kindergarden 'feel' it is better to look after 'adult resort'. Corridors noise is heard […] in the rooms, bad sound-proofing. Internet is not included, promised discount on spa wasn't calculated in the bill, by mistake few breakfasts were charged, although included in room prices. For 15% added to paid price, 'quiter room' was offered (shouldn't all rooms be quiet??). Compared to some top destinations, it lacks refinement. Lot of annoying beach activities agents and souvenirs sellers approach guests during the day. Resort itself is much better than most of other places in Bali, but there are few elements traveller should have in mind, that are non-related to resort, but massively spoil overall impression. Airport - ARRIVAL is nightmare, business class travellers are not treated as promised (didn't get separate lane and waited for hours). Departure is disapointing. Controls all over, unpleasant feel. Taxi drivers charge double or more usual price for distance. Road to Nusa Dua is subject to heavy traffic jams, specially early evenings, so attempt to go out can be very frustrating. Mosquitos are everywhere and very annoying, well repelents help, but didn't notice same on many other locations with similar climate. Les mer

Highly recommended if your aim is to relax and spend time at a true 5 star resort by the ocean. Flawless, welcoming service and well maintained surroundings with lots to do make this a great place to stay at Bali. Westin, Nusa Dua is the perfect place to go if you want to relax and just enjoy your break from the busy everyday life. However there were 2 things that could be much better; 1. we had ants/insects crawling in our room near the beds and the complementary tea & coffee and 2. We booked a hotel taxi to take us to Kuta (Ku De Ta) which we were told by […] the staff, was not that much more expensive than a regular taxi. However when we wanted to go back to the hotel is turned out the hotel charged us double the price of what a taxi! Even the Ku De Ta car service was much cheaper than the hotel taxi. This was exactly what we were looking for. Situated in the quieter location of Nusa Dua - away from busy Kuta. We couldn't speak highly enough of the staff - they were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was beautiful and clean and had everything that you would need. Breakfast had a huge assortment of food and was in a great location. Overall experience was quiet good but I have to mentioned our experience with Spa management .On first day I received Spa price list it in USD$ price and afterward in same day they billed us in Indonesian rupiah. Then I realized that rupiah price was 25% higher than USD$ so I questioned the Spa staff about and they replied that USD$ price list is not […] valid! We present the USD$ price list to convinced them that they are not allowed to raise their price while guests are already check in. So they finally accepted to bill us in the USD$ price. Les mer
