"A bit disappointed"
Checked in and found the hotel to be semi-clean and semi-maintained. Pool area was particularly disappointing - dirty - "hot tub" was a bust -- at best it was a "luke warm tub" and absolutely freezing cold in the morning. Pool itself was very cold - almost uncomfortably so. There's better properties around, wouldn't recommend or stay there again.

I would really recommend this hotel because it was a good location and it had good amenities. It was amazing to think that I could go swimming in a midddle of a snow storm as the pool was inside. There was a free complimentary breakfast which, is hard to come by in another hotel. This is what a hotel would have done years ago with having the hotel room […] rate and give a free complimentary breakfast. It's the way to keep customers coming back time and time again. Other hotels do not do that and they are losing out on business because of it. The only two things that would need to be revised is the windows that look on to the pool which, I know is for emergency reasons. The windows are located so close to the elevator that they allow everyone to see you swimming. The second thing, is the elevator took alittle while for people to get from one floor to another. "My New Year's Eve stay"
My young children and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express for New Year's Eve and found its location to be rather convenient. It was close to just about everything including the highway. The hotel itself was clean and so were the rooms. The rooms had updated furniture, a flat screen t.v. and a mini fridge which came in handy with three young kids!! The […] kids really enjoyed the large array of food for breakfast. Imagine scrambled eggs, bacon and pancakes to name a few!!! Although the pool was not large, the kids still had fun. I would recommend this hotel and would book again in the future. Les mer

"exceptional for our needs."
We were on our way north and needed a one night stay. This hotel was convenient, quiet, close to good restaurants and we had a very comfortable sleep. Good complimentary breakfast. Highly recommended.

Perfect for a stop on a road trip, as it was for us. Not someplace I'd want to stay while taking in the local attractions. Located in a very commercial area with lots of food and drink choices.

We were most impressed by the value we received at this hotel. How many hotels have a reasonable rate AND a hot breakfast. I thought when the desk clerk said 'hot breakfast' it was going to be 'make your own waffles', but it really was a proper hot breakfast! As we were meeting someone else, we opted to go out for breakfast anyway. Cora (too crowded) […] and Williams were nearby, as was a large selection of big box and smaller retail outlets. Our room was clean and very nice. We enjoyed our stay. This is the second time we stayed here and would stay again.
"Good Hotel - Clean, Centrally located in Barrie"
The hotel was clean and the room was what I expected. The bed sheets were a nice neutral colour and not some flowery design that does not look good. We asked for wine classes for a New Year's toast and they provided to us. We only stayed one night. I would stay there again.

The hotel wasfairly new, it was comfortable and clean. The beds were a treat to sleep in. The staff was welcoming and pleasant. The breakfast was a bargain but we decided to eat elsewhere and get a real breakfast.
This Hotel was fresh and clean and the staff very pleasant. We will definately go with Holiday Inn Express on our next travel..

My family and I were impressed with the cleanliness of this hotel and the beds were extremely comfortable. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet! I will definately stay at this hotel in the future!
