Godt og velutstyrt rom, serviceinnstilt betjening. Det som drar ned inntrykket er tilbudet om en liten frokost. Mitt spørsmål blir hva man kan kalle liten frokost? Wienerbrød, juice og kaffe er ikke det jeg vil kunne kalle frokost. Ellers hadde vi et fint opphol, god men noe overpriset middag i restauranten..

Very comfortable, quiet room, great service. Right next to city market and carriage rides. Trolley stop on corner. Only issue was that the toiletries were all perfumed and the food and drinks overpriced.

my wife and I stayed at the hotel recently. We arrived early and the room was not ready. The valet parked the car and took care of the luggage. The hotel called us when the room was ready, this was a great touch. Unfortunately that same evening I became very sick and an ambulance had to be called. The hotel staff were great, acted swiftly and proffessionally. […] We ahd to spend the next day in the hotel room. They could not have been more helpfull. This hotel is very nice within walking distance to dining and across the street from the open market. My complaint with this hotel has to do with the valet service. My car was parked by a valet and when we got our car from the valet to leave the hotel, the passenger door of my car was scraped down to the metal. It is only parked by the valet and taken […] out of the garage by the valet so I am certain this was done by one of them. Of course, he opened the door for me so I didn't see it until we stopped down the road for gas. Very shady not to let someone know you damaged their car! Les mer

I booked here partly to take advantage of the $25 food coupon. But when I arrived I found out you have to use it on the day you check in only, and they don't serve any breakfast in the restaurant. They offer pastry and coffee on each floor, which is kind of limited, compared to how luxurious this hotel is.

This hotel is fabulous and the staff is superb!! Everyone was so helpful and friendly, and the hotel itself is beautiful. Our room was lovely and extremely clean! Hot coffee and the most wonderful pastries are placed on each floor in the morning, so you don't even have to go downstairs for breakfast!! Market Pavillion is a first class hotel. The staff was friendly and extremely attentive. We stayed on the concierge level and were impressed with the level of service provided. We got a super great rate from Hotels.com. We had a fantastic experience from the valet entrance to the time we left. When we arrived and they gave us a $25 voucher for food or drinks. We used it after a cold night out. We ordered two hot teas and a shot of Lagavulin whisky before bed. Will always stay at this hotel.

Not only were we close to everything downtown, we felt like we were treated like royalty on the concierge level.

Great hotel, but avoid the bar on the roof. It's a great spot to see the city, but the drinks are awful and the staff is surly. I first ordered a whiskey sour and could barely taste any whiskey. Disappointed with the lack of alcohol in my drink, I proceeded to order a double of Jack, neat. My "neat" jack was filled to the brim with ice and topped […] with a lime. Either the bartender on staff that night was ignorant, or it's the bar's policy to serve as little alcohol as possible. I considered sending it back, but opted to avoid conflict with a bartender who obviously wanted to be somewhere else. Les mer

Hotel was amazing - i did however not initially get the treatment at the front desk i thought i should have. Expeida or I made a mistake on the night of arrival - they had charged me for the nights stay the evening prior to my acuall arrival - hotel had plenty of rooms - why not just agree to switch the night - Clearly they had not incurred additional […] expenses nor were tehy anywhere near booked - but i had to go through American Express and Expedia to resolve when the front desk could have made it far easier. Only stayed for 2 nights but the service and state of the room were impeccable. The staff were very kind and ready to help at any request and the rooms were clean and the bathroom and amenities were gorgeous. Couldn't have asked for better.

As would be expected of a top hotel, everything was incredible! Kelly, the concierge was terrific! Grill 225 was outstanding. Only disappointment was average hotel mattresses (at least that's how they felt). Expected at least a pillow top mattress. Other than that my wife and I enjoyed the oasis that our hotel served as. Highly recommend!

We could not have been more pleased! The rooms were larger than appeared in the photos on the hotel website and the service was impeccable. Our favorite feature was the rooftop bar/pool- so much fun but also laid-back enough that we felt comfortable. Very nice hotel, great location, good restaurants and big rooms... However, I was very disappointed with the pool. It's very small and is located in the middle of the roof top bar. With people literally eating all around, I never saw anyone actually get in the pool... This was disappointing as it is one of the reasons we chose this hotel. Location was good but loud on a Friday night both inside hotel (other guests) and noise from the street. The hotel staff was wonderful. Pool was nice but was more of a "party" hotel with bachelor/bachelorette parties so wouldn't recommend for families.

My husband and I visited Charleston for the first time and booked the Market Pavillion, hoping we had chosen well. It was a great experience. The location was perfect. It is next door to the market and on the same block as some of the best restaurants in Charleston. It is also a short walk to the old section of town and the harbor fountain. They arranged […] dinner reservations and a walking tour and were very helpful with everything we needed. We loved the rooftop area with a bar, pool and restaurant. It was a great place to relax after a long day of walking. Very few hotels have this amenity and it was nice to be able to relax somewhere besides our room. After looking at the other hotels in the downtown, several of which we had considered when booking this hotel, we thought we both agreed that we would stay at the Market Pavillion the next time we visit. The hotel is beautiful and grand. The staff is even better. They gave us great recommendations for visits and restaurants. The pool and exercise room were not over the top, but adequate. Guests should know there is a 20 dollar parking fee each night. More of a lobby would have been nice as well. The entry is just a big bar and restaurant.

This is a wonderful hotel whose staff is not happy because the management doesn't support or listen to them. They are going through the motions, but their is an absence of warmth and hospitality. Charleston is a friendly, gracious city and this kind of atmosphere is an anomaly. The problem starts at the top and has filtered all the way down.

We stayed at the hotel for a long weekend. We were greeted immediately when we pulled up, they took out bags and since our room wasnt ready they took our cell # and called as soon as it was. The room was older, but classy. Very clean and they turned the bed down every night. The rooftop pool and bar are great, service is very friendly. The hotel was nice but rooms were lacking a mini-bar. rest of the hotel was pleasant, however the rooftop bar brought a unsavory crowd of partiers on the weekend. Outside the hotel on saturdays night looked like Cancun during spring break. If thats what your looking for this is the hotel for you. If your looking for something more romantic or relaxing […] I wouldn't recommend this hotel. Also be aware that the hotel parking is 20$/day. I come to Charleston almost every month for work. I have tried other hotels, and been disappointed or had at least a mediocre stay. The Market Pavilion is where I always come back to. Comfortable rooms, great staff. And the morning coffee is hard to beat.

The location was excellent. The food was even better. The only problem was that the shower drain was not working properly and we had to request a refridgerator but overall we were very happy.

We loved our stay at the Market Pavilion. Everything was great - room, service, food, location, and staff. We especially liked the Pavilion Bar and Pool and had lunch there every day and drinks at night. My only complaint is that I called the day before for early arrival since our flight to Charleston was arriving at 10. The room was not ready when […] we arrived which certainly is understandable and we did not get in it until after 2:00. We went to the Market Pavilion for our honeymoon and we had a wonderful time. It was absolutely beautiful and such a wonderful place to spend our honeymoon. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.

My husband and I needed a relaxing getaway. Even though we live nearby, we decided to be tourists in our own area and really treat ourselves to an outstanding hotel. This was FANTASTIC!!!!

This is my 4th or 5th stay here. And the staff is great. The rooms comfortable. Definitely my favorite hotel in Charleston.
