Ommet var stort og innhelt alt som behøvs for overnatting, men ikke noe sted for å tilbringe mye tid (annet enn for å sove). Resepsjon, frokost, etc. ble håndtert av nabohotellet, Grand Chiefley - viktig å vite ved ankost.

Greit og rimelig. Landlige omgivelser i nærheten. Ganske rolig strøk litt i utkanten. Hyggelig og vennlig personell. Litt lytt mot korridor.

"on the beach"
When we arrived staff where not very friendly. Morning staff much nicer and very helpful. The room was great, very clean, nice and roomy and a great view of the ocean. We had a wonderful time and would return again and again. A great place to stay in a beautiful location.
We had an absolutley fantastic time staying the weekend at the hotel. Only complaint was the charge for the babys portable cot. We have a portable cot of our own that we would have happily taken with us if we were informed that there would be price to pay to use the cot. Just thought that it was a bit over priced and considering the baby had to have […] somewhere to sleep we were not expecting to be charged. But our overall experience was great and would definitely stay there again and will recommend to others. Les mer

Great location, nice view and sunset from Sea view room. Handy to all amenities. Cable car close by to get to Adelaide centre. Great restaurants very close. Rooms well maintained and serviced each day. Enjoyed my stay and would return. Minor complaint - couch not very comfortable.
"Good location but front desk staff not friendly"
The hotel is in a good location. But the front desk staff was rushed and surly. We had an issue with the inroom internet service which did not work and we realized later (unfortunately our oversight) we were charged a fee for 24 hour internet on our bill. My recommendation is to make sure you get what you booked.

Cozy, commodious and very clean room. Beautiful ocean view! There was not hair drier in my room so that I I made phone call 3 times and It took an hour!

The Oaks Pier Hotel is located in the wonderful beachside suburb og Glenelg. These units are well equipped from a simple studio room to a 2 bedroom apartment with ocean views. Within walking distance to the famous Jetty Road where everything you need is right there from clothes, bars, restaurants, musci stores, chemists. The kids are not forgotten […] with the Beach House right next door with all the water activities that the kids could want. If you want to relax simply relax and enjoy a drink on the balcony. Les mer
"Oaks Plaza Pier Glenelg"
This was our second stay at the Plaza Pier, with the first stay two years ago. The quality if anything had improved and we were allocated a room on a high floor with a great view of the sea and coast. Parking was cheap and easy to access and the local coffee shops and restaurants are plentiful and within easy walking distance.

Great hotel, clean nice surroundings. Good for families or business, beautiful beach and local restaurants on the pier. Only downside was paying extra for parking at the hotel. Besides that I highly recommend this hotel.
The Oaks Plaza Pier was pleaseant hotel to stay at I arrived early and they allowed me into the first avaiable made up room. It is located on the beach with nice views across the ocean or park. "First Impressions are lasting"
We arrived to the Hotel at 11am. Of course we did not expect a room to be ready for us but it was. We got our room keys and went to the 5th floor, enter the room and find it a complete mess. It had not yet been cleaned from the previous guests. We go back down to reception who tell us there is no room available. No big deal we are checking in early. […] They just happen to find a cleaned room ready so they give us the keys. We go back to the 5th floor to find the room does not used the card reader it has an actual key which was not given to us. This time my husband goes down to reception while I stayed with all our luggage. He gets the key and procceds to the lift. He suddenly realizes the key he recieved was not for the room which we were assigned. He goes to reception for a THIRD time! Finally he gets the correct key. Do not expect a mini bar but there is a full sized fridge, microwave and stove. Other than that our stay was great. Location is great. Close to restaurants, shops and the tram. Les mer

After a brash and unhelpful experience on check-in we enjoyed our stay. This hotel is very conveniently located on the water at Glenelg and minutes from the tram for those wanting to go to the city

This hotel at Glenelg is in the perfect beach side location within a short walk to Glenelg shopping strip, café's and bars. Lovely apartments, a little small but very well set out. Only a 10minute drive from Adelaide airport, but you will pay $20 per day extra for parking even if you are a paying guest staying at the hotel.

Published room rates should state that parking is another $17 daily. Asking for a $150 bond is offensive. The shower in the bath is dangerous and the hotel could be sued if an accident occurs. No holding rail and not even a non slip mat to stand on.

Before going to Glenelg for 4 nights I read many mixed reviews about the hotel. The main down side had been people being allocated old rooms which were not yet refurbished. I contacted the hotel and the managed all my fears. At start of Sept they had only 9 rooms left to do. Be aware that being on the beach in Adelaide at the weekend you need to accept […] that the nightlife was busy and loud. Music and people just enjoying themselves really, but its not quiet. Very much on the upside though is that it is well managed. The surrounding area is a dry zone so not a lot of people drinking around the promenade and the beach and it all stops at a reasonable time. More importantly, for me anyway, the room allocated was very good indeed. It was new and fresh with a full sea view, as I had requested. There are lovely sunsets to sit and look at. I have seen them across Europe, Africa and the USA and it is good. Friends and family who visited me at the apartment were very impressed with the layout and quality of the rooms. Recommended. Checking in was speedy, the room overlooked the ocean all of which great. However, the TV in the loungeroom would not work, we called reception who talked us through how it worked. Only problem was someone had taped up the back of the control of the TV/Movie link remote and it clearly needed new batteries. The room was huge and was lacking any comfortable […] furniture, there was no table or chairs on the balcony to sit on and take in the view. The sheets & towels were changed the next day but the rubbish bins left. There needs to be a huge improvement in service for the rate they charge for the room! The locality to our needs was fantastic. Staff were salways prompt and attenitive. There were a few items amiss in our room. Ie a microwave, which with our busy schedule was a big problem. And our room was missed being service on a few occasions., probably half our stay. Other than those things everything else was up to expectation.

"Good overall"
This is not a hotel in the normal sense of the word. The rooms are individually privately owned and appear to be suites of various sorts, including fully equipped kitchens. Our room was minimally furnished but otherwise comfortable. Rooms at the rear of the building can be noisy owing to rowdy persons exiting the ground floor bars late at night or […] waiting taxi drivers calling out early in the morning. The front desk appears to be under-staffed and is quite variable in the standard of service. Overall though. our 9-day stay was more than satisfactory. Les mer

"Superschönes Strandhotel"
Sauberes freundliches Strandhotel mit Anbindung an die schöne Innenstadt von Glenelg und zur Marina von Glenelg mit hervorragenden Restaurants. Schade, dass es von Deutschland so weit weg ist.
