Super 8 Phoenix Downtown - Phoenix

Ganske fornøyd med hotell og beliggenhet. Satte pris på kjøleskap på rommet, da det var veldig varmt i Phoenix, ca. 38 grader. Kort vei til spisesteder, som kunne spaseres til.

Other than the price, I chose this location for the pool because Canadians like to go south and swim, any time of the year. When I got to the pool, it was not blue like the photo showed. It was green water, and not very transparent. There were wasps in the water, which is ok but the pool looked like t had not been cleaned in a few years. It smelled […] like a stagnant bog. Gross. I really wanted to take a few dips when we were there and if the website had of said the pool was unavailable, we would not have stayed. Les mer

Room was a bit small, but worked for my business stay. Good value.

The room was comfortable and very nice for the price! The bathroom was spacious and well decorated and came with a hairdryer built into the wall. The tub was large and deep. There was a fridge and microwave in the room. The continental breakfast was nice as well. Waffles, ceral, oatmeal, boiled eggs, danish, toast and fruit (bananas, oranges and apples). […] Staff was friendly and helpful. We will stay there anytime we're out that way visiting family! You get what you pay for. If you want a place to sleep while you're in town, this is a good deal. The room is clean enough, with a large bathroom, mini-fridge, TV with cable, and desk. There's an outdoor pool and continental breakfast, and FREE WIFI - unlike those more expensive hotels down the block. This is a good deal for a traveler who is going […] to be out and about. This hotel (motel really) is about exactly what you'd imagine. It's an old motor court motel and the grounds, pool, ice machine, laundry, etc. are not exactly new. The immediate neighborhood is a little sketchy, but just a couple blocks away there are some nice restaurants and bars. Had a conference at the Phoenix Convention Center. This hotel was a 15 minute (pleasant) walk to the Convention Center through a very nice neighborhood. The hotel was clean, very comfortable, very quiet, and staff were attentive and friendly. The free breakfast is a definite plus. Drawbacks--very slow wireless, and problems with the phone in my room. Wi-Hi connection is unstable for a raptop computing. one of front desk parson (white guy) is rude. there was a big fight in the next room to my room, strating 1:00am and end 3:00am. I could not sleep at all. I do not recommned this motel

Check in was quick and easy. At first glance the room looks nice and updated but while we were there noticed some patchy work not that it affected our stay really. The first night we stayed there, as soon as I tried to go to sleep I started itching. I asked my husband the next morning if he had felt itchy and he said he had too. I don't know if it's […] the detergent they use or a hygiene issue. I don't remember noticing it the same night. The rooms are smaller, especially with the big TV piece right at the end of the bed, but the AC worked well and we were happy with the our showers. The breakfast was packaged pastries, some cereal, juice, milk, bananas, waffle maker, hard boiled eggs and a few other things. As someone else noted, the first day we had breakfast the guys working had a smoke out the front door and we could definitely smell it, yuck! I couldn't tell if the neighborhood was good or bad. It seemed to be in a fairly commercial area with lots. of car lots. We weren't expecting a high-end hotel and I think it was a good value for the money. clean, nice shower, below average wifi in the corner room I was given. over all it was okay

The room was fine and the staff was nice. However, the WIFI did not work and I was there on business. Secondly, all the rooms face the parking lot so it's just constant noise all the time from car doors slamming, etc, other guest slamming doors at all hours of the night. Dont stay there on a weekend either. People were outside talking loudly all night. […] The night staffer did nothing about it. You'll be pleasantly surprised by the room. The breakfast sounded good too but never got a chance to check it out. Exterior is clean, but typical super 8. It's the room that will surprise you.

I was in for one night on my way to Flagstaff and I took 2 weeks to research my room for the night and saw the overall reviews and the new rooms and was very impressed with the Super 8! Very nice rooms I will stay there in the future as well.

We were pleasantly surprised at the start of our stay - wonderful accommodations for the price. We considered ourselves quite lucky! Two things however, changed our impression and resulted in giving this hotel a rating of a one. 1. The desk clerks smoked outside the office doors, with the doors open. The smoke blew directly in the breakfast area. I […] closed the doors during our time there, but it was not appreciated by the clerks. 2. When we checked in, we told the clerk that we would be staying an extra night. He said that "he would take care of it." We understood that to mean that he would charge the extra night to our credit card and would resolve it all at check-out. We found however, that when we did not check out by 11am on the previous day, our things were all packed up and put in the office. How shocking! The same desk clerk was on duty during that time, and he denied saying anything about taking care of it. He said that because we booked our stay through Expedia, he couldn't charge to our card. Well, he had our phone number, he remembered the conversation, the hotel wasn't booked so there wasn't a need for our room. It seemed very drastic to have someone pack up our room. And the clerk and manager stood fast in their opinion that they were right in their actions. We left and did not stay the extra night. We were very disappointed and will not stay in a Super 8 again. Rude staff member (older gentleman) but other than that hotel was clean.

The room I had was pretty much all new, and the mattress was very comfortable. Did not try the pool.

For my visit to Phoenix, could not have worked out better for comfort, location and budget... great room, lovely clean bathroom, friendly and helpful staff. I was able to grab a bus outside the hotel and be downtown in less than 5 mins with easy transfer to light rail to go anywhere I wanted, be it museums, shopping or restaurants. Convenience store […] across the road a bonus, room had fridge/micro, TV, desk to set up laptop, free wifi. Also coffeemaker, hairdryer, iron/ironing board. Free continental style breakfast where you could make hot waffles. Great place to stay for budget conscious traveller. Les mer

Although the location of the motel was convenient, the desk clerk acted from the moment I checked in like we were out to rip him off. He was rude, unfriendly, asked me why there were 3 people in our car, if only 2 were staying (our driver was being picked up by another party) When we unloaded our luggage, he sat outside the office and watched us, waiting […] to see if our third person was really leaving or not, I am sure. We intentionally left the room door open, and sat on the curb in front of our room until the third person was picked up and left the premises. When we left to go to dinner later, he glared at us as we drove by. The room itself was somewhat clean and updated, but the bathtub had a black film in the bottom of it that needed to be cleaned out before it could be used. I attend a yearly event at the convention center, and usually try to find a reasonable place to stay nearby. I definitely will think twice about saving a little money next time. Service and hospitality rate higher on my list, which this motel definitely lacks. Just a smile, or a "thank you" would have probably made a difference in our stay, but instead, we were made to feel like we were inconveniencing someone by renting a room for the night. We are not party people, we were not asked to leave the premises, and we did not smoke or cause problems with other guests. Les mer

the room was really nice for a super 8 hotel ..really clean and very comfortable i really like it it need a little painting job on the outside but after all its was great i would recommend it to anybody .. :)

excellent front desk service they were very friendly and helpful. Was not very far from Chase Field or US airways. Arrived about an hour early before check in time and the nice front desk lady still checked us in. They were very helpful to get us taxi cabs and pedi cabs to be taken to the sports events that we attended. The rooms were very clean and […] really nice. My husband is a truck driver and we got the chance to stay in Phoenix and see a DiamondBacks game. We chose this motel because 1) It was close to the BallPark 2) It advertised 18 wheel parking 3) The rate was very affordable. The Motel was very clean and the Mgt very helpful. The decor was pleasing and updated. Our only issue was that parking for our […] truck was minimal at best. In spite of being advertised as having truck parking; had we had a trailer we would have had to park across the street in an unsecured vacant lot. The rooms were remodeled and were really nice inside - granite top vanity, flat screen TV, new carpet, etc. We walked to Chase Field to watch a game. The free breakfast was awesome - hot waffles, toast, juice, cereal - they had it all.

Went to this hotel for a conference at Airways-Phoenix Convention Center. Close enough to walk but not in 115 degree heat. Neighborhood not safe enough to walk at night. However this hotel was a gem-reasonable rates, very- very nice room-great bed-excellent helpful staff. Highly recommend- car rental needed however.

For the budget-minded traveler, this is the place for downtown Phoenix. Ample free parking, very friendly staff (both evening and morning), and suprisingly clean rooms! When you are at the hotel, it's hard to believe you are just blocks away from the major sports venues and theaters of this city. We were here to attend Bruno Mars concert at the Comerica […] - very convenient! Les mer

The hotel, its location, its cost per night, the attitude of the desk clerks and other personnel of the hotel were all that I expected and motre. The complementary breakfast and the proximity to excellent restaurants,museums and other special attractions were added benefits greatly appreciated. Clean, simple room. Easy walk downtown. The parking seemed safe and secure, the night people were watching. The storage container in the parking lot should be removed. Good price for downtown location.

Was very happy I stayed here. Room had totally been remodeled. Friendly an helpful staff. Walked to most activities, especially close to ballpark. Neighborhood was better then expected. Felt safe walking around.

Stayed here to see a baseball game at Chase Field, which was only a 10 minute walk away. New breakfast was very nice. Great deal if you want to stay downtown at a good price. Not far from the airport either.
