Excellent location in the middle of the Back Bay area, With close proximity to both Public transportation and stops for the various tourist trolleys going through town. The hotel itself was Nice, clean and comfortable. the staff were excellent, very helpful With sightseeing advice and Places to dine/drink.

I am a bit of a hotel snob so I am usually pretty brutal in my reviews. However, I loved this hotel! The service was just outstanding. Staff was so friendly and accommodating. Deepak, the porter, took time out to show us some of the hotel's history and gave my 6-year old a coloring book and a few chocolates to boot. The rooms are clean and stylish, […] coffee was hot and good in the morning, and the basement bar was a great place to hang out. This hotel is also just a few blocks from the best Back Bay neighborhood. We walked everywhere during our stay...even to Fenway! Loved it. The hotel was in the perfect location - easy to get to Fenway Park but also close to the downtown area and Sea Port. Lots of restaurants and shopping within easy walking distance.

We really enjoyed our stay at Loews and would recommend it to anyone visiting Boston. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and helped us out with all our queries. The only thing really wasthere was no breakfast included in our deal, or didn't seem to be on any room rates. An excellent hotel in a good location for visiting Boston.....a bonus was its proximity to Back Bay railway station. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant.

We enjoyed a short-but-sweet stay at the Loews Back Bay. The location was fantastic, and the room was large, with all the amenities we wanted. The staff were very helpful and we would definitely think about staying here again when we next get a chance to visit Boston.

I have stayed to The Back Bay Hotel 4 - 5 time over the past three years and have always found the staff to be exceptional. We are visiting Boston this time, to attend my daughters Commencement and ordered roses, via the Hotel Concierge Niki, to give to my daughter at dinner, but dinner was cancelled. I called Niki and asked if she would send the flowers […] to my daughter in a cab. Not only were the flowers delivered, but Niki took the initiative to delivery them personally!! Now THAT'S SERVICE. This is our 4th stay at this hotel and the differentiator for us remains the special staff. Nothing is a bridge too far for them. Love it! Bring back the weekday breakfast buffet!!

All in all, a decent hotel, conveniently located between the South End and the Back Bay. Generally great service. However, the street and Mass Pike noise was incredible. Sleep without earplugs would have been impossible. We were on the 5th floor too. Also, ask if your room has windows. Ours did, but there was a rumor some dont.

The staff was very warm and welcoming. Despite recent events that had occurred in the immediate area, the hotel was more than accommodating as anyone can expect from most Boston area hotels. Landed late so needed to rely on room service which was extremely limited. After placing the order and calling back an hour later we were told the order had never been received. Very odd. Had spoke at length with the individual taking the order each time.Room was great.Hotel restaurant spendy but decent. Over all a good stay but not remarkable.

Lovely hotel in great location for walking around Boston. We were upgraded in our room which was an added bonus included very large bathroom and coffee making facilities.

The location is good, just 15 minutes walk to Chinatown. It has many bars and restaurants nearby. The loud music coming into the room from a night club near the hotel every night. We could hardly sleep.

Back Bay Hotel is a great hotel. The rooms are clean and well appointed. There are a variety of sizes of rooms. You can walk to many restaurants, two T stations,shopping, the gardens, The Commons, and go a bit farther to the harbor.

My children tell me I am difficult to please. this may be true, but I try to judge a hotel on what it is trying to be. The Back Bay Hotel is trying to be a top class hotel. It is in fact a very good hotel in a great location, but it is not a great hotel. Upon checking in, I waited for a clerk to finish with someone ahead of me (we were the only guests […] there). Another clerk was doing something on his computer. Neither made eye contact and neither said "We'll be with you in a moment". After a few minutes the male clerk looked up and welcomed me. The only problem was that he was chewing gum, quite vigorously. Not good. The room was fine, if a bit small, but then that is what I booked - a basic room. Well equipped. When I went to use the toilet, there was something floating in the bowl. Not large, and likely not human, but one doesn't expect to see anything there. I later sat on the desk chair and upon moving around to see the tv, I noticed some garbage behind the night table, which had not been cleaned up - likely had not been seen. Overall, the rest of the stay was fine, but a clean room is important, as is a strong first impression at the front desk. I would stay at the Back Bay Hotel again. The location is great. But it would be nice if it tried just a little bit harder. Les mer

We came to vist Boston for college tours and loved the central location of Back Bay Hotel. Depending on where we where headed we were able to walk or catch the subway from either Arlington or Back Bay Station. The restaurant was wonderful and our stay was great.

Don't think I could have found a better hotel to stay at! Such a beautiful building, the staff was great and extremely helpful with everything, great location to stay in, very clean, overall was a great place, didnt want to leave! All of the staff was unbelievably friendly and willing to help with everything. Wouldn't stay any place else for our next […] visit. I read other reviews that said the rooms were too small, I didn't think our room was any smaller than the average hotel room. Our entire stay was great, highly recommend to anyone staying in Boston.
