Very comfortable. Nice TV. Nice hot tub. Wonderful check-in/check-out hours. Overall a very good hotel.

"Free cookies!"
The staff was wonderful and there were free fresh baked cookies at the front desk! The rooms were clean and exactly as described. Breakfast in the morning was yummy and there was a pancake machine!

"Quite acceptable"
The price was good - for only about $20 more than the cheapest rates in the area, we got a very comfortable King in a large room (listed as a 'suite', but only a larger-than-normal room). The roll-away bed was adequate for a teenager, the furniture was comfortable and easy to move when we needed to, the amenities were more than adequate, the room was […] clean and odorless, the sound from outside the room was essentially nil, we all slept very well, and the good breakfast spread was free. "out of thw way yet soo close"
The location was convenient for everything from gas to food to the highway. Quiet hotel. Friendly staff. And free apples. LOL the location is sorta secluded.yet.still within just a few miles of everything. I'd I had to say one negative. It would be nor enough quality places That deliver food.

"good rate nice hotel"
This is the 2nd year we've stayed at this hotel for the hot air balloon festival. It isn't as close as we'd like, but it offered more amenities than others. The staff was very friendly and we enjoyed the indoor pool.
"Winchester, VA hotel"
The hotel reservation was my only problem. I had booked a room online and was asked if I wanted 1 bed or 2. I requested one, but when I got there, they were booked and had reserved 2 beds for me. I was not happy!

"don't pay in advance"
I made the mistake of paying in advance & the hotel would not refund me the last day as I had to leave 1 day early. I was reembursed when I called Hotels.com & complained. Hotels.com were very nice about it & within 10 minutes I was told that I would receive my money back for the one day that I did not stay. I felt that the hotel should have at the […] time I checked out would have done this but they said that it was policy. I am glad that I pressed further & called hotels.com. I felt that the hotel could sell my room & make a sourse of income a second time at my expense on the same room. Something like this has neverr happen to me in over 50 years of travel & staying at hotels which we did quite often as we traveled a lot. Les mer
"Winchester Holiday Inn Express"
Our stay was perfect! I can not say how happy we were with our choice. It was located very conveniently to the historical district and plenty of restaurants and fas food establishments. The breakfast both days were wonderful and atteneded by a VERY nice young lady who has been there 4 of the 7 yrs. the hotel has been open. The breakfast was like going […] out to eat!!! "Holiday Inn Express Winchester - Great Deal"
Holiday Inn Express continues to be one of my top choices; they have the best breakfast and reasonable rates. Staff was friendly and helpful, and pool and fitness hours were expanded hours. I really enjoyed my stay, and so did my kids.
"Friendly staff, hard beds"
I stayed three nights at this hotel. It was very clean, and the staff was very friendly and efficient (even giving my kids lollipops). I enjoyed having a fridge and microwave in our room, and the free breakfast was very good. My only issue with the hotel was that the beds were rather hard.

I choose this hotel initially for 3 reasons, cost, indoor heated pool with jacuzzi and free breakfast. Hotel was right off the highway and surrounding it was a variety of food and food mart that you could walk to. I always felt safe in the hotel and walking outdoors at any time of day or night. "very convenient and relaxing"
Comfortable hotel that seems fairly new. Complimentary newspaper, nice pool, and hot tub are some amenities. I guess I should mention microwave and refrigerator in the room was a nice touch as well. The hotel was clean and the staff at the desk was very helpful and friendly. The only negative was the quality of the food at breakfast.
"Horrible bed"
The bed we tried to sleep in was one of the most uncomfortable ever. The next morning I told the front desk clerk and she said they were in the process of replacing beds. I will not stay there again until they have replaced all the beds.

A very nice hotel. Staff very courteous. Clean and kept up. Free hot coffee in the lobby area. Complimentary mints and apples for the guests to take. Swimming pool was refreshing. I didn't use the exercise room, but my husband did. He said there were some problems with the equipment. Maybe from over use. But, our experience at this hotel was very pleasant. The hotel was very clean and well maintained. The staff was amazing. Every person that we came in contact with that worked there was so nice and helpful. The breakfast buffet was a bonus and there were plenty of tables. Our only complaint was the pool area was not well ventilated and you could not stay in there very long. The place was exactly what I was expecting. A good nights sleep. The breakfast wasn't the best I've ever seen, but I give it a passing grade.

Hotel was nice. The room was clean and well kept. Front desk gave directions to several restaurants in the area and was very helpful. Breakfast was warm and tasty. Complimentary cookies hit the spot when arriving after 10 hours of driving. Location is right off of the expressway and very convenient.

Loved the hotel...The bed for me was not to comfortable...Liked the shower but the bathroom was right at the door to the hall and if you did not have the door to the bathroom closed, well I hope you don't mind being an seen in your birthday suite...Overall it was very nice...

The hotel was great, as it always is with Holiday Inn Express...never a bad night. The town of Winchester is making "Progress" which means road construction...everywhere...
