great location is the only positive for this hotel. Room maintenance is lacking, 2 out of three days we had to ask for clean towels, glasses were not replaced and bed was not made upproperly, just thrown together.So called full breakfast was lacking. Next time we will return to Embsy Suites right down the road.

Nice hotel near everything. Friendly staff and well maintained.If the breakfirst was a little bit more variated i would have rated this hotel to 4+ They had a desk for park tickets that was without staff for the entire week. For the price, it was an OK hotel. Low , low 100's. Don't expect too much from breakfast or customer service. The front desk person seems the least interested about helping or answer any questions. Rooms clean. I wasn't paying for great customer service nor 4-star amenities so no regrets.

Although the pool is small and the hotel is a little old. I would certainly recommend to all and stay again. Great rates, great breakfast, incredible staff. We will certainly stay again.

Read some negative reviews before I booked but am glad I went on the Wydam reputation and not what a few people had to say. Wonderful staff,always a greating no matter what time of day,cleaning staff was great,will book there again the next time I go to Orlando. Centrally located to all the attractions. VERY PLEASED

Overall,exceeded our expectations. Good hot breakfast, very friendly staff, and a good stay.

The shuttle at this hotel was complimentary when traveling to Disney World. However, the shuttle only left at 8:30, 10:50, and 12:45 and returned only at 6, 8, or 10:30. The shuttle to Universal cost money and was the same shuttle that went to Disney World. We had to pay for cabs a lot more often than we originally expected so we could stay at the parks […] longer to watch the fireworks. This hotel was run down, with paper thin walls, and no working ice machines. This is the only poor experience I have ever had through hotels.com. Then to top it off at check out they tried to charge me $18.00+ for a movie I never ordered or viewed. The manager has yet to return my call to credit this. Unless you want to be disappointed in every way […] and then have charges slipped in that aren't yours, avoid this hotel. Les mer

Maybe this is the 12th time going to Orlando-Kissimmee area, and I chose this hotel because I needed a room with a range to cook my favorite toddler's food and to try this new place (for me). Place is really close to Downtown Disney, and from there between 7-10min ride to the other parks with moderate traffic. Beds were a lot softer than other hotels, […] I actually enjoyed sleeping on their beds. Kitchen is small but worked fine. Service was having problems with towels, they were servicing late a couple of days. Breakfast was great for me, they had fresh fruits, coffee, hot chocolate, tea, milk 2%, whole milk, orange juice, other juice, etc... sausage, scrambled eggs, bread with toasters, pancakes, waffles, ... alternating menu day after day. Small efficient exercise room, internet office with printers, hot water Jacuzzi next to the pool. Staff was really nice, always saluting. Relatively small hotel but comfy. Nice sofas to sit and relax in the lobby, free newspaper in the mornings. I didn't go with the restaurant and pizza suggestions from hotel, because there are plenty around the corner. Winn Dixie Supermarket 3 min, Pizza Hut 1 min, gas station, 2 min, Walgreens 24 hr 3 min, etc... TVs were fair but had not video inputs, couldn't connect video games. Plenty of channels. WiFi was around 3M, strong enough for daily things. Game rooms were small but oK enough. Police car parked at front during the weekends. Overall, I am coming back because everybody in my family enjoyed sleeping there and wake up well rested. Les mer

Front desk was very friendly and helpful with Disney tickets and directions. Nice, large room. Great breakfast.

On check out we were charged $62 approx for 2 international calls that were made with a pre-paid phone card. We had made a lot more than 2 calls with this card and could not understand why we were charged for onlt 2 even though the print out of the calls had the card telephone number on it. When querying it with the lady on reception, she was adamant […] and rather rude I thought, hat we had made a mistake and would not accept my query stating we should have used the public phone and this is what they advise people. Incidentally there was a card in the room confirming that pre-paid phone cards could be used and that the charge was free. With children and other people around I did not wish to cause a scene so paid the bill and went to the car to study the numbers. Myself and my husband returned to reception and asked to see the manager. He was extremely helpful and quickly realised there was a mistake and refunded my credit card. Had the manager not been available this could have cost me $62. Although this did not spoil our holiday and we did enjoy our stay there, we left a little disappointed! I would recommend this hotel but beware of using phone cards there. Les mer

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Very clean, good room with kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. We did not get a King bed as booked. We complained about 2 lightbulbs being out in the bedroom, these were not replaced during our stay. Pool was good, free breakfast was OK. Great location for Downtown Disney about a mile away.

I arranged a honeymoon stay for my son and his wife for 12/11/11 to 12/16/11. I went to the hotel before hand to look at the room, it was beautiful, so I spoke to Cedrick at the front desk to find out how to go about arranging a special welcome, he was so helpful and gave me the number to Rafael the GM, I called Rafael and he worked with me to arrange […] a special package for my son and his wife. The evening my son and his wife arrived they called me right away to tell me how beautiful the room was and how the room was decorated with balloons and rose petals on the bed, a basket of fruit with chocolates and a bottle of champagne. They said the room was above and beyond anything they could have imagened and this was the best beginning of their life together. I was so proud for how wonderful the staff was and for everything that the staff did for me to make this so special for my son and his wife. Les mer

Great place to stay at a reasonable price. Full breakfast which varied each day with options for everyone was great. Close to Sea World, Discovery Cove, & Universal Studios without having to use the x-way. Manager's nightly reception was a welcome treat. Positive: Free Wi-Fi, Big rooms, Big bed, Free parking, Friendly staff, Downs as bedding standard, Pool very clean & heated, Free small pool towels, and among all lovely quiet compared to all the buzz of Orlando though located right in the triangle of Disney, SeaWorld, Universal with a maximum of 10 minutes’ drive to each. Negative: Bed too soft; Breakfast […] very unhealthy: No organic choices, no fresh fruit, wheat in all bread – should include bread choice with fibre contend of 8-12%, listed eggs as part of the breakfast buffet- checked two days but there were none; Housekeeping inconsistent- only received 3 out of 6 cleans and had to ask for standard coffee replenishment and dishwashing soap every day. Travel to Florida every year in January, and find Lake Buena Vista superb in terms of location for Disney/Universal/ Malls etc. Usually stay further down palm parkway in the Residence Inn but fancied a change. Not disappointed-except in breakfast , which is very basic and the hot dishes are not replaced very quickly so its a case of make do or wait […] 3-5 mins etc. However -good value for money and would stay again. this was a complete surprise. we booked two suites and were very happy with the location and condition. the breakfast was good for a fast fill up for a day at the parks. the front desk staff (rafael and Shandaze) were awesome! we will be saving this hotel to our favorites and plan to stay next time we are in orlando.

This hotel in Lake Buena Vista was ideal for the New Years as it was close to Downtown Disney for New Years.

The location is great but I would rather have stayed somewhere else for the same amount & have a more enjoyable stay. The kitchen suite is SEVERELY lacking. There's 2 tiny sorry excuses for burners, outlets that don't work, no coffee filters, and a fridge that doesn't cool and spoiled our food.

Large rooms, decent breakfast. Location is great to access the Orlando parks. Close to super markets and restaurants.

We stayed in this hotel for one night. It was expensive considering that the bathroom was outdated, and the hotel looked a bit old on the outside. The breakfast was good though. The location is great if you are going to DisneyWorld. Overall, we might stay there again if it was the only option (as it was this time).

From checking in to checking out - Superb staff ! We stayed there for our 20th Wedding Anniversary trip to visit Disney World Orlando and Universal Studios Florida. Wonderful location with nearby convenient malls, restaurants, The daily free breakfasts were exceptional with healthy as well as standard fare! Front desk staff exceptional. Hotel is clean and well maintained. Location is great, only minutes from DW. Housekeeping needs help! Linen was a daily annoyance. We traveled with another couple and they had the same problem. One day their room was not serviced. Overall hotel was comfortable and a good deal. I will consider this hotel for future trips […] to the area. Hopefully housekeeping will improve. Les mer

Hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly. Quick to respond to any requests. Well worth the price for the location and convenience. Hot and cold breakfast was sufficient and was changed daily. Only concern we had was with the shuttle service. Not very reliable, but that is not the fault of the hotel, they contract out.

His great customer service shows he really loves his job, he was extremely helpful and was the BEST hotel staff member out of all the hotels we've come across travelling the US:) Hotel was a perfect 10 out of 10, great for kids with video games & a pool table complimentary buffet […] breakfast, laundry facility in hotel which is a bonus when you have kids. This is the kind of hotel to stay at if you have children, and are going to be going to the parks all day. It was a great place to crash, and the beds were fairly comfortable. The breakfast in the morning is not the greatest hotel breakfast....but it sufficed. We found ourselves stopping by Dunkin Donuts on the way to the park!!! The shuttle service […] is very good. The area is great and convenient to attractions and shopping, as well as interstate access. It was a very good buy for a full suite. The layout was great. Desk staff were very friendly and breakast had a lot of choices. The one complaint I have is the housekeeping. It wasn't dirty but there were things missed: bathroom floor didn't look completely clean […] when we checked in and it appears the only thing they did during our stay was make the bed and change the towels. the cleaning of the bahroom and floors was cursory at best. The Hawthorn Suites Lake Buena Vista is a wonderful place to stay. The rooms are always clean, the beds are comfortable, and the halls are very quiet. I love the pool area with the hot tub. The breakfasts are also very good. My husband and I try to stay here whenever we travel to Orlando. I would recommend this hotel to anyyone, be it a couple or a […] family. Les mer

This hotel is a great place to stay if you're visiting Disney World and want to save money by staying off of Disney property. Convenient location with excellent customer service. We had a little mix up with the king bed suites being overbooked but, the attendant at the front desk was very courteous and helpful in getting the issue resolved.

We enjoyed staying at this hotel and plan to come back again. The hot breakfast was delicious and the rooms were spacious and comfortable.

Close to all the local attractions. The services and amenities at the hotel were great.

The price and value for the Lake Buena Vista area is excellent. Very quiet.

Room had a little odor upon entrance, not sure what that was! but after a minute or so it wasn't there anymore. And, shuttle times stink - not very flexible. Other than that, it's a great place to stay! Hotel staff was awesome! So friendly. They kept the room so tidy for us - put all of our things in nice neat piles, great service. Breakfast was different […] everyday - not the world's best breakfast but definitely great still. Plus the free beer each evening, was appreciated after a long day at the park with the kids. They didn't have my room ready when I got to the hotel at 2pm. I was told that house keeping was in a meeting. Then called back at 330 to try to access my room but it was still not ready so they put us in another room. Then the complementary drinks were wine in styrofoam cups and breakfast was cold Ham and powder eggs shaped as pancakes it was not what […] we expected for breakfast. They we left a flatiron in the room and we called to come back to get it and we were told to call on the morning because they don't have access to the lost and found at night. We came back and were told people claim to leave things all the time and they didn't. But we did and they said it was not there or turned in.... magicaly disappeared!! Very upset that there is no accountability by staff or management. And while telling us they can't help us the Guy behind the counter was playing on his ipad. Guessing he was on level 10-3 on angry birds! Les mer
