This was our second visit to the Hawthorn Suites Lake Buena Vista in eighteen months. We returned because we liked everything about the hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful; the rooms are spacious and well-equipped with everything one needs to cook dinner or just to relax. We are very satisfied with our stay at this hotel!! Nice and clean, very helpful staff and the location is close to both Magic Kingdom and Sea World. We will for sure stay at this hotel next time we come to Orlando!!

Have stayed at this hotel before - it is nice and conveniently located to the Disney parks IF you have a car. There is very limited transportation provided by the hotel and Disney buses do not come to this hotel. If you stay here, you will be pleased with the price, but again, have your own transportation. Overall hotel was nice. Rooms were clean. Enjoyed the breakfast, had a pretty good selection for hotel breakfast. Selection changed each day. Had one issue where we reserved a crib and was told none were available. We had confirmed we had a reservation a few days before. Was told that they never guarantee or would never give any indication that a crib […] would be available in advance. The hotel had sub par rooms. Carpets had threads all over, the shower had mold, the cupboards were cheap plywood. The hotel needs a major renovation. Would NOT stay here again

Had a blast, will definitely book at Hawthorne Suites again if I'm in the area. The staff was very friendly, the hotel was clean, location was close to everything I needed.

Location was the only positive. From there; all down hill. Toilet would not flush & ran constantly, lights in room either burned out or flickering. Complimentary breakfast was below par quality. The hotel was 10 mins from Disney gates, and two streets over from restaurants and grocery stores and 5 mins from Downtown Disney. The location is very convenient to all the theme parks, restaurants and just about any activity you would want. The free breakfast was good and well laid out--even when it was busy there was little waiting and plenty of seating. The evening reception with free drinks and snacks was also very well done. We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights for a Disney vacation and were very happy! The hotel staff was incredibly friendly, helpful and accomodating. There was a yummy breakfast buffet with a lot of variety and housekeeping was very generous with towels! We spent nine nights in this suite. The room was awesome, except we were right next to the elevator and it was annoying hearing the ding and motor when you were trying to fall asleep. The breakfast was amazing everyday. I thought for sure we would want to go out some place else a few mornings but never even consider it once we were there. The pool was […] clean and warm. The hotel was great - but probably not the best or even in the top ten for convenience for visiting Disney. Although the hotel information lists the hotel as 1/2 mile from the Disney parks, it took 20 minutes to reach the Magic Kingdom and closer to 30 minutes for Animal Kingdom. The hotel also lists a free shuttle to Disney, but the shuttle also services […] several other hotels and runs on a fixed schedule (and allows NO STROLLERS)...so, what could take 20 minutes to travel to Magic Kingdom in a cab could turn in to over an hour on the shuttle. I was very disappointed in the convenience to Disney parks as this was the main "selling" point for me to stay at this hotel. The continental breakfast was very poor quality and selection. Great size rooms with a great location. Hotel very dated but acceptable. Disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. In my opinion not cleaned very well. Breakfast basic, not brilliant quality but you get what you pay for.

I have had great luck with Wyndham properties. This is not one of them. I booked the Executive King. The room was small, the carpet was not clean, and I just did not feel comfortable. The business center is a joke. You have to pay for internet time, and for copies. I cancelled my reservation, and went elsewhere for about the same money, and got a suite. […] I think this was a Wyndham when originally booked, and was downgraded to Hawthorne prior to arrival. Felt very at home throughout our stay. Staff very friendly. Hotel in ideal position for all Orlando theme parks. Comfortable rather than plush. Would recommend these suites to anyone wanting accomadation that is good value for money in a peaceful but good position.

pretty, but looking maybe a bit older.....the sheets were very rough, zero water pressure in the shower. The room was clean and we enjoyed the complimentary Starbucks coffee in-room. Only there one night and had no chance to enjoy any other amenities the place had to offer

Great hotel for a family or single person on an extended stay. The rooms could use some updating such as newer TV's, and some new linens. The room and hotel were clean and well kept. The staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful. Hotel is perfectly situated for access to all attractions but is far enough away from the roads to be free of noise and bustle. Breakfast is great value - sets you up for the day. All in all a really good choice.

Great pool and hot tub. breakfast buffet included pancakes, sausage and eggs. The cleaning staff forgot to clean our room one day, but otherwise things were great. Louis the Manager is helpful and friendly.

Great room for a family with separate living and bedroom areas. Much better than the usual units with everything in the same space. We stayed for four nights in December 2012 as we visited the Disney parks, which were 15 minutes away. We enjoyed the size and overall comfort of our King Suite (room # 300). The breakfast buffet was varied each day and we enjoyed the selection. Parking was easy, the staff were pleasant, the room's kitchen was useful and functional, and the manager's […] reception on weekday evenings was a bonus (free hamburgers/hotdogs, wine, beer, and soft drinks).The only issues we encountered: very loose toilet seat, worn/broken livingroom furniture, and a little spider which decided to visit the bed top.
