Det mest positive med hotellet var fellesarealene i 1. etasje. Både resepsjonen, frokoststua, "baren" og bakhagen var innbydene og koselig, og var fristende å sette seg ned i. Frokosten var enkel, grei og god. Betjeningen var veldig forekommende og blide. Rommet var greit (men kun et vindu høyt oppe på veggen trakk ned), og badet stort og flott. Beliggenheten […] var super. Da vi ankom synes jeg gata så litt shabby ut - men fant fort ut at slik er mange av gatene i Firenze og at det har sjarm. Gåavstand til det meste innen ca. 10 minutter. Vil si hotellet passer spesielt godt for ferierende som ønsker hygge og avslapping. Les mer

The front lobby and lounge areas are lovely and exactly what you want in a small hotel in Florence. My room was a peculiar split-level affair, with a large bathroom on the lower level. The bedroom area was narrow and probably not to everyone's taste but I found the room strangely charming. I could not control the room temperature and the hotel did not […] fix the problem, despite repeatedly being asked. Overall, I thought the staff were a little bossy - the waiter refused to serve coffee in the sitting area, the front desk wouldn't allow my daughter to visit my room, that sort of thing. There were lots of things you couldn't do, and the staff were obviously not professionally trained in customer service. But I enjoyed the buffet breakfasts and the room rate was very reasonable. A really nice hotel, very convenient, friendly and full of character. Our only quibble was that having booked a de luxe room there was no comfortable seating in the room (No 6) only a chair with the desk. We loved this hotel...so much charm and personality. The staff was so helpful, the breakfast so beautifully presented, the rooms so open...we had a little shared porch with lots of greenery. The bathrooms were a bit dark but just went on the patio for putting on my makeup. Easy to walk to everywhere. The only hard part was having the taxi driver locate […] the hotel. This is and old house that has been converted. We were upgraded to a 2 story suite. The 2 issues I had was that i kept bumping my head into the door ways and we had to walk up some very steep stairs. It was further away than from the town center than i would like too, and it was in a not so great area.

Large rooms... lovely decor...each room unique...spotlessly clean. What a surprise to find a loft in our room with an extra bed above. This would be the perfect place for a romantic getaway. Beautiful formal breakfast dining setup. Outdoor garden and tables as well as tables inside. Walking distance to major sights. Small quiet boutique hotel.

The buffet breakfast could be a bit better but outside of that --EXCELLENT room and service

Beautiful, charming, great breakfast, friendly staff. Lobby renovated, but rooms were old. Very old towels, showers, n carpet. Inside the old drawers were dirty inside, could not use.

My stay in Florence was for business. My room was very nice and the morning breakfast was great. The free internet in the lobby/common area is very nice. The staff is fantastic. I arrived in Florence by unfortunately my luggage went to Paris. The front desk staff called the airport lost luggage department for me every hour for 2 days and when they finally […] recieved word that it has arrived they made arrangements for it to be delivered to another hotel that I would be moving to (for a business meeting). I am going back to Florence in September and I will stay at the J and J Hotel again!!! Les mer

Really enjoyed our recent stay at the J & J Hotel, the staff were attentive and friendly and the hotel atmosphere was very relaxed. Our room was comfortable, a good size and really liked the old furniture. The location was only a short walk to the main Florence centre, taking in lots of intereting shops on the way. Would recommend this hotel.

The Hotel is in a small street yet very good location in center of florence. chain style hotel do not go. the service was great. its a small hotel so if you expect we stayed 2 nights and would come back again.

Florence can be a bit overwhelming and being close to the Duomo it is a crowded area to stay in, but the J&J hotel is a complete oasis of calm. The hotel is quite and beautifully decorated. The rooms are enormous and you can't hear any street noise from inside. The rooms have the feel of an apartment, since they used to be apartments. The courtyard, […] vaulted ceilings and plush couches offer comforts of home away from home with a touch of luxury for an amazing price. My family was only passing through Florence for one night. We stayed at J and J and found it to be a hidden gem. Large, comfortable rooms. Very helpful, friendly staff. A beautiful hotel. Set outside the tourist section but an easy 15-20 min walk.

The impeccable service matched the charm and comfort of this delightful boutique hotel 5 blocks East of Piazza del Duomo. Our room was large with a comfortable sitting area and a large newly appointed tile and marble bathroom. Marco at the Front Desk made dinner reservations for us at 3 wonderful restaurants close to the hotel. It felt as if we were […] staying in someone's private home with a gorgeous flower filled center courtyard, and an elegant living and dinning area on the main floor. This is a unique place: an historic house impeccably renovated and decorated. The staff is very nice and helpful. It is simply charming and comfortable in the same time. Although on a narrow street of Florence, it is well located, within walking distance from most of the main museums and major touristic attractions

I have very high standards, very very few get a 5, so at a 4, this place is great. Highlights: unique rooms with a real period feel, great beds, good tolietries/bath accessories, great breakfast.. We had a terrific stay at the J and J Historic House Hotel in Florence, Italy. First of all, the lobby is understated and charming and very comfortable looking; classy but not ornate. The walk thru the breakfast room and patio was lovely airy and when we entered our room, it was just a very pleasant surprise! The bathroom alone was beautiful and then the veranda off the bedroom where we could sit in the garden and relax, eat, etc was just perfect. The location was also great - central to everything. Especially close to the Jewish Synagogue and kosher eateries. Great Staff so manyhotels can use a front staff like this one. Helpful polite friendly and informative. Alberto really makes a difference in the staying at this hotel. A quirky and very individual building. This hotel is the polar opposite from the faceless, identical and charmelss "chain" hotels.Super location in a quiet back street 5 minutes walk to the Duomo.

we stayed there ( my wife and i) for 3 nights. the hotel is in a good central location. it's not very busy in the near viccinity of the hotel which u'd really want i guees when u re ready to hit the bed. the staff are very friendly and helpful. although our room was very clen, modern and spacious, i 'd avoid staying in a standard room next time i stay […] there. 3 nuits avec chauffage bloqué et aucune solution. Éclairage de la salle de bain très médiocre. Nous avons passé 3 jours ma petit amie et moi dans cette Hotel, il est parfait pour les couples, très calme et Cosie. Un plus particulier pour la grande baignoire ! Au niveau de la situation géographique vous êtes dans un quartier tout à fait calme et à 5min à pied du centre historique de Florence.

Hotell i bra kvarter lite i utkanten av det turistiga Florens. Lite mer genuin känsla på kvarteren omkring än mitt i stan. Hotellet är vackert med en cool mix av historia och design, men lite "sönderdesignat". Till exempel var avloppen feldimensionerade så avrinning från dusch och bad fungerade dåligt samtidigt som handfat och toalett var väldigt snygga, […] men i princip funktionsodugliga. Servicen på hotellet var i princip oklanderlig. Väldigt hjälpsam och trevlig personal som hela tiden fanns att tillgå, men i bakgrunden. Typiskt "romantisk semester för par-hotell". Les mer

Mycket mysiga rum. Bra service från personalen som pratar bra engelska. Mycket bra frukost för att vara Italien, d.v.s. som en sämre Svensk hotellfrukost.

Aussergewöhnliches Hotel in einem altem Kloster. Wir hatten das Zimmer 19 zuoberst. Es war auf 2 Etagen unterteilt mit Klima und Balkon mit sicht auf den Dächer von Florenz. Zu Fuss waren wir in 5-6min beim Domsplatz... 1A

Otroligt vackert hotell med riktig historisk känsla. En hel del trappor finns så om du har problem med att gå i trappor kan det vara en idé att be om ett rum på bottenvåningen. Trevlig och uppmärksam personal som snabbt och effektivt gav den service vi efterfrågade. Liten men kvalitativ frukost med italienska delikatesser. Lite dåligt med frukt och […] grönsaker dock, som verkar vara fallet med de flesta italienska hotell. Ca 10 min promenad till 'centrum' men även den omedelbara omgivningen hade historisk prägel. Proche de tous les sites touristiques... confortable... décoration raffinée... accueil chaleureux...

L'hôtel est vraiment joli, cosy, bien décoré, le personnel est vraiment compétent et attentif, mais il y a quand même quelques petits éléments qui pourraient être améliorés : déjà, donner un accès internet wifi dans les chambres, et puis certains détails qui trahissent un certain manque de rigueur, comme des tablettes de nuit mal fixées au mur, un bac […] de douche qui déborde et inonde la salle de bain, un lit en cuvette dans une chambre standard (alors qu'il est parfait dans la junior suite). Dans un monde parfait et idéal, on s'attendrait aussi à un petit-déjeuner avec des spécialités locales ou des produits de haute qualité (mais le buffet proposé reste tout à fait correct avec ses sachets de thé Twinings). Heureusement, l'aménagement très convivial de l'entrée, de la salle à manger et du salon donnant sur la petite cour centrale fait qu'on se sent très bien lovés dans les canapés beige gansé de noir (sauf que les housses pourraient être mieux repassées). Notre junior suite était bien agencée et décorée, la salle de bain magnifique avec son lavabo de pierre inclinée, mais aucune patère ou crochet pour pendre sa serviette. La clim/chauffage est assez bruyante. Les chambres ne sont malheureusement pas toutes décorées en beige et noir, notre chambre standard était plus quelconque avec son tissu vert et vieux rose et la junior suite plus classe, mais toujours pas comme sur les photos du site... Le personnel de l'accueil est très bien et de bon conseil (surclassement offert car période creuse), le personnel de service qui n'est visiblement pas du métier un peu moins parfois (on ne renifle pas bruyamment toutes les 10 secondes en se raclant la gorge !). Bref, un bel endroit qui pourrait être presque parfait avec quelques améliorations... Les mer

Das J & J ist, wie der Name sagt , ein historisches Haus und gewinnt dadurch diesen speziellen Charme. Wunderhübsch der Innenhof !! Das Hotel liegt absolut ruhig - und doch sind es zum Dom nur ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuß. In nächster Nähe liegen nette Bars für den Absacker am Abend!! Das Haus ist sehr stilvoll eingerichtet - für ältere Semester empfiehlt […] sich doch eine höhere Zimmerkategorie - z.B. Deluxe - zu buchen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich - das Frühstücksbuffet für italienische Verhältnisse - üppig. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder hin! Les mer
