This is a slightly upscale hotel, but price is to be expected in Napa. Few restaurants nearby, but OK. Good breakfast and Wifi, elevator in hotel. Very good pool.

Hotellet ligger midt i Sonoma Valley og er et ypperlig utgangspunkt for å oppleve flotte vingårder, drikke god vin og nyte deilige dager i solen. Servicen er korrekt og hyggelig, rommene store og komfortable, treningsrom, basseng og uteområder ypperlig vedlikeholdt. Restauranten er både koselig holder høy kvalitet. Spesielt vil vi framheve frokosten, selv om man faktisk må bestille bord og beregne litt ventetid om morgenen. For golfere betyr det også en del at hotellet ligger mellom to gode golfbaner og gjestene får rabatt. Den dagen vi ankom ble vi endog invitert på rimelig "farmers" evening, med ølsmaking, servering av lokale spesialiteter og deilg mat med masse øl til....

Dette hotelle overrasker, det er rent og det ser bra ut. Det er opptil norsk standard og man betaler litt over halv pris. Det er et basseng, og et treningsrom, men treningsrommet var ikke mye å skryte av dessverre, men det er en fin sti bak hotellet man kan gå eller jogge. Hotellet hadde meget bra frokost og den varte en stund. Det er kort vei til alt og man hører heller ikke noe støy utenfra, noe som kan være et problem ved andre hoteller. Det er kort vei til mall og outlet og det er i god stand. Servicen er også veldig bra her, de hjelper deg med det meste.

The host had a planning agenda that really allowed you to maximize your trip. The B&B has its own winnery as part of the experience. Great stay at the McClelland-Priest. Celeste was wonderful and SO helpful with recommendations on wineries and tasting rooms, maps, discounts, etc, and she cooked a delicious breakfast! Room was spacious and clean. Beautiful Victorian home within easy walking distance to restaurants, tasting rooms, etc. Would stay here again.

"Wonderful inn, sweet location, great innkeepers"
We had a great experience at Mcclelland-Priest. The inn is a beautiful Victorian and the common rooms and bedrooms are impeccably decorated. The location is so close to great restaurants and wine bars. When we arrived, we had a choice of three great wines in the parlor and we got a packet of information, maps, recommendations, coupons, etc. The innkeepers […] - Celeste and Bruce also make great wine and have a cool tasting room about 10 minutes away. A stay at the inn gets you a free tasting there and a free bottle of wine. The staff at the tasting room - called Uncorked - wad really friendly as well. "Lovely Bed and Breakfast"
Spent three nights at this lovely Band B. The whole house is decorated and furnished with antiques and still has a lot of it's original features. Our room was a decent size with a large en suite and had it's own balcony overlooking the garden. We sat outside in the evenings and enjoyed a glass of wine or two. Everyone sits at a large table for breakfast […] which is served at 9.15 am, we enjoyed this as we all chatted together about our plans for the day etc. There was no choice for breakfast however and it was similar each day, a small bowl of fresh fruit pieces and yoghurt sprinkled with cereal, followed by a portion of savoury or sweet souffle. We enjoyed everything we had so this was not a problem for us but some people may prefer a choice. Coffee and tea was available from about 8.30am in the sitting room to serve yourself if you needed an pre breakfast drink, and this was replaced by wine and chocolates at about 6 in the evening which was a lovely touch. We were also invited to free wine tasting at Celine and Bruce's premises downtown which was very enjoyable. We enjoyed our stay, and would recommend this Band B to others. Les mer

The old Victorian house was a pleasure to those of us that like old houses. Our room was nice and comfortable. We like to visit with the owners or proprietors. McClelland-Priest B&B is located on the southern side of the town of Napa, a short 5 minute walk to city center. Inside, it's a beautiful, Victorian-style home. Our room was huge, including a comfortable bed and jacuzzi for two. Breakfasts were delicious!
"A wonderful home base for a Napa honeymoon!"
We stayed here for four days of our honeymoon and we had a fantastic time! First off - Celeste is phenomenal and she can really make a good trip great through her hospitality and her connections in the Napa area. She left us lots of information on the area's restaurants, wineries, and attractions so we could start touring right away. Many local wineries […] offer complementary or reduced-rate tastings for guests at this B&B. She also set out some great breakfasts (french toast, fresh fruit and yogurt, quiche, etc.) and wines were provided in the evening. Not only is Celeste knowledgeable about hospitality, she's also clearly passionate about ensuring her guests have the best possible visit. In a stellar trip, Celeste still stands out! We stayed in the Puccini suite - which was beautifully decorated in the same style as this turn-of-the-century house. The room was spacious and had lots of storage for our clothes, a beautiful bay window, fireplace, and adjoining (private) bath. Of course, with an older house, the drawback is a few less modern comforts - we had an in-window air conditioner and the room wasn't very dark at night due to the sash window, but these minor drawbacks didn't diminish our experience at all. We'll definitely stay with Celeste during our next Napa visit - and we think you'll enjoy visiting with her too. Les mer
"Quiet, Comfortable."
Celeste does a great job of welcoming you into her home. When you arrive she has a welcome packet ready for you. The house is in a quiet neighborhood and is a great opportunity to get away from the business of a hotel. Breakfast is a wonderful event with the chance to visit with other guests. "McClelland-Priest in Napa - Evaluate the trade-off"
The B&B is right in downtown Napa, a short 2-6 block walk to lots of great restaurants, Oxbow Market and other goings on. The Innkeeper is also very well connected throughout the Valley because she and her husband have their own winery and tasting room so you get lots of 2 for 1 or free tastings all over Napa with her card. This is a substantial cost […] savings if you don't have a particular itinerary in mind and are flexible about wineriers you choose to visit. That said, you are staying at the far southern end of Napa, so if you want to to to Northern Napa wineries, its a 45-60 minute drive. Also, the B&B has window unit A/Cs which don't really cool the rooms off very well in the summer, so take note if you get hot easily. The breakfasts leave something to be desired if you go to B&Bs in part for the food. There was a lot of repetition from day to day in what was served and the food was very mediocre. There are so many great places to eat in Napa, I'd skip the breakfast if you stay here. Bottled water is provided daily in the lobby. Coffee and tea in the morning, wine in the evenings. Les mer

when I stay at a B & B. I expect breakfast at a reasonable time in the morning. Instead of a time range, breakfast is at 9:15 for everyone. Make sure you check your schedule to fit with hers. "Amazing Stay!"
This was our first experience at a b&b and also napa valley and we really enjoyed it. Celeste and Bruce were very accommodating. As everyone else mentioned, the savings they offer at the wineries definitely allowed us to splurge on a lot of nice bottles of wine that otherwise we wouldn't have bought due to the tasting fees. Do not miss Rubicon. This […] was definitely one of our favorite wineries. Not only were the grounds gorgeous and they have a mini museum inside, but the Rubicon bordeaux and cab were phenomenal! Through Celeste you get a free tasting, that otherwise would be $25+ for one person. Had amazing dinners at both Celedon (the duck dish was wonderful!) in dtwn Napa and Bottega in Yountville. Also, really great burger and fries at Gott's in Napa near Celeste and Bruce's tasting room at Oxbow. We didn't figure out what we were going to do with shipping our wines back until the morning of our flight and luckily Bruce got us a shipping carton that we could check at the airport to save us the shipping fees. He drove and got it for us early in the morning, it was very sweet! Celeste and Bruce make you feel right at home and you cannot go wrong with staying here if you are staying in the dtwn napa area. This is a great B&B when you want to get away from it all and just read and relax. Gail the innkeeper made wonderful breakfasts and every night they had wine and cheese in the parlor. We travelled from Michigan to Napa for the Harvest and winetasting . Celeste and Bruce were warm and friendly and had lots of great info and a packet of information and discounts for wine tasting . The B&B has beautiful Victorian decor and the rooms each their own charm with lots of space and high ceilings .We stayed in the Carducci suite with a comfortable […] 4 post bed and nice jacuzzi tub . The winetasting/cheese gathering each nite and the scrumptious breakfasts shared with the other guests created new friendships and shared info of winery and restaurant experiences . 8 of us guests all went to dinner together our final nite there ! This is a wonderful B&B at any price but it was a bargain as well. Hostess Celeste was so warm and welcoming as well as a font of info about the wine country experience. Walking distance from downtown Napa, this B&B was an incredible find!! Very well kept, the decor is elegant and inviting. We stayed in the Roma Suite which was spacious and comfortable with a high vaulted ceiling, and featured a jacuzzi set into the windowsill - very romantic for a soak by moonlight (a roomy shower is also included). Breakfast was prepared […] by the owner, Celeste, who is charming, efficient, enthusiastic, and a fabulous cook. Rather than the spare continental fare that we expected, she made a fruit/yogurt medley and rich, crispy french toast that was delectable. She is also well-connected with the surrounding wineries and offers invaluable assistance with tasting, tours, etc. Extremely well-priced, the McClelland-Priest is a five-star best bet! Where to begin from the teephone call the week before our stay our host and owner (Celeste) could not be more helpfull she treated us like family.
