Snow King Resort Hotel - Jackson

We reserved a two bedroom suite and were given a 3 bedroom condo. There were crumbs on the couches in the living rooms and it wasn't entirely clean. The TV remote controls in two bedrooms was not working. I was traveling with my elderly parents and the stairs were a concern in the condo. The railings going downstairs could be shook by pushing on them. […] Wasn't the safest for older folks. Upon check in when I attempted to obtain a two bedroom suite, I was told they didn't not have this even though it was advertised on their website. The trim in the living room was also coming apart. This hotel is straight out of the 70's I'd guess? The only things I didn't like: the mattress was way too hard and the water pressure was ridiculously low. The staff was SUPER nice, the location was awesome, the maid service was very efficient and did a great job cleaning our room. We would stay there again, especially since the deal was SO good.

Very nice place to stay! Great staff! EJ took us down into town and picked us up later in the shuttle bus. Our room was clean and comfortable, although the lighting inside the room was a bit dim. Would have liked to hit the slopes, but didn't have time. (not sure why a resort with lighted slopes would close at 6:30)

I went with my daughter, brother, and husband and we had a great time! I highly recommend the pool and hot tub even if its 4 degrees outside! It was amazing! The snowboarding was fun and the discounted rates we got lift tickets for made the stay even better. This resort may be on the older side and have some flaws but overall it was amazing. Biggest […] complaints were that the hide-a-bed had a big hole and the bedroom where we slept didn't have a tv, but overall very enjoyable. Les mer

The accommodations were wonderful. The staff was friendly, helpful and the location was great. The shuttle service was so convenient. We would definitely stay at Snow King condos again in the future.

We stayed in a 1br condo with a fireplace and view of the tip of "The Grand". It was very comfortable and homey, but still a feel of the west. I would definitely stay there again. The staff was very accommodating. It was just a short walk to Jackson Square, or a short bus ride.

We reserved our room as a king, traveling with a pet. When we arrived, they had no king pet rooms available so they tried to put us in a double, pet room. After talking with the desk attendant they were able to accomodate our original room request.

I have stayed in hotels all over the world. The staff at the snow king resort in jackson hole had to be the worst I have encountered.

I have stayed here several times- Due to location and conference business, they can charge high rates, but the whole place is stuck in the 1970's. Updates to rooms are lipstick on a pig.

Rooms are very dark and not very clean. The carpets are dirty and the ice makers dont work. The location is perfect for ski in and out but not for Jackson downtown and all the restaurants and bars. Food at the restaurant was not very good.

The outside of the condo was very unkept. Inside was okay but many of the amenities that were supposed to be offered were not, mainly air-conditioning. The bed was horribly uncomfortable.

We started with a standard room which was located next to the laundry room, vending machines and foot traffic to the elevators. We turned on the air conditioner and found ourselves shouting above the noise. We went to the front desk and without much fuss they changed our room to a junior suite which was so much better in size and location. Snow King is located at the edge of the town of Jackson Hole. It has a lot of potential as a venue, a beautiful location, some fun services (mountain slide, mini golf, hiking in summer, all ski services in winter). It is also a terminus for the surprisingly useful Jackson Hole bus system. We stayed two times in two different rooms and, based on our […] experience, we found some real problems with the way the hotel is managed. Overall, it seems understaffed. For example, lunch and breakfast are served in a large restaurant; yet for each of the three times we we ate there, the same (single) person greeted us, bussed all the tables, took all the orders and the payments. As a consequence service was erratic at best. In addition, the bedding and other furnishings are showing some real wear and tear and in general the place needs updating. Finally, while technically helpful, virtually every encounter we had with the front desk left us feeling underwhelmed. It seemed like the questions we asked were a burden they had to endure. That was the biggest disappointment, since the reservations group and the ancillary staff were all pleasant and helpful. Les mer

We arrived early and we did realize that the check in time was to be 4 pm. Since we had arrived from Yellowstone Park, we thought they could have suggested something for us to do. We tried to occupy our selves until 4pm but finally at 3pm we went back to the hotel hoping that a room would be available. It was not. Fabulous! Wonderful! Wish we could have stayed longer.

The clerk checking us in seemed very bored. She offered no information about hotel or surroudning area. I expected so much more from a resort area.

We only spent 1 night (not even 24 hours) so we didn't get to enjoy all that this hotel had to offer. We had a hard time finding it at first, but then just headed toward the mountain. The lounge was ok. This hotel is older and to me, needs updating and decoration. Room was clean. The buffet breakfast (add'l cost) was decent. The hotel is very old, poorly maintained, and not clean.

We were very dissatisfied with our room and the accomodations. We were given a room next to the elevator . Very noisy. Room was a handicapped room and the shower sprayed all over the bathroom. Hand held shower head very difficult to use. No microwave or smal refrigerator. Very poor lighting in the room. Storage was adequate. Bed was comfortable. Small […] tv for the high price of the hotel. I wondered if we were given that room because they give Hotel.com the bottom of the barrel or inferior rooms. Stayed in Condo park of Snow King Resort. A little outdated inside, but very functional.

Hotel was comfortable and very nice. The lift is right there to go to the top of the slopes and get beautiful views of the Tetons and the town. The Jackson Hole city bus picks up from the hotel on a regular schedule and takes you around town for free. This was the third time we were in Jackson Hole on July 4th. The room was clean and spacious, the decor nice. Not right on the main route through town, but right next to the chair lifts. Would have liked a continental breakfast, but other than that, the room was good for what we needed it for, a place to stay passing through Jackson on our way to Yellowstone.

We booked 2 rooms with 2 queen beds in each. We were given 2 rooms with 1 king bed only. The staff was helpful and immediately changed us. However, the rooms we were given were awful. Our room had water all over the floor from the air conditioner. The other room had the controls on the a/c/ heating unit reversed so you had to turn it to heat to get […] any a/c. The a/c worked very poorly. We asked for new, maintenance free rooms. The rooms we were given this time were much better but still the blow dryer in our room did not work. Only the basement ice machine in the hotel worked. The food was awful. The staff was polite and helpful and did attempt to resolve the problems. This is an old hotel which has not been maintained. The location was great. The hotel is older and needs a litte work. Nice Pool and Lobby. Get a good rate if you stay here. I have seen much better.

We stayed at Snow King over July 4th weekend. We had gotten a really inexpensive rate through hotels.com, so the room location wasn't the greatest. However, we didn't care because we were out most of the time. The resort was close enough for us to be able to walk to town (complimentary shuttle also available). Room was small but clean. Beds were comfy. […] Tennis courts were fun and concierge had racquets for us to use. Alpine slide and mini-golf were fun, too. Short walk to 4th of July fireworks which were awesome! Only complaint is that we never got the refrigerator we requested. We had a great stay and would love to go back during ski season. Les mer

If you are not looking for anything fancy... this is the place. Great location, walk to town, if not they provide a wonderful shuttle(free) service to and from town as well as the airport. Nice pool and jacuzzi... both with great temp for water. Would definately stay there again.

We were only staying one night, in the summer, so very off season. We booked a hotel room and were pleasantly surprised to find that they put us in a very dated three bedroom condo. It was obvious that it had not been occupied in quite some time, as it smelled of mildew and must when we entered. We opened the windows to air it out, and so it was fine, […] but the upstairs bathroom was very moldy and had soft spots from water damage in the floor. We settled into bed, but were awakened at 2 a.m. by people in another condo screaming and yelling, apparently very intoxicated and they continued to be very loud for over a half hour until I called security to come talk to them. Closing the windows was not an option due to the smell and temperature in the condo (A/C is not commonly found in Jackson Hole in most housing.) We will not be staying there again. I frequently stay in condos in Colorado ski country, and have never had any problems like this. Each condo is privately owned, so I expected it to have some wear, but the beds were terrible, the furniture threadbare, and the amount of mold in the unit and the smell of stale cigarette smoke is inexcuseable. The resort managers could have at least had the place aired out in advance. Les mer

My wife and I booked a room at the Snow King Lodge for our anniversary weekend and were under-impressed. Upon arrival, we were given a room on the first floor by the guest laundry room and salon. We did not like the room because it was dark and noisy so I asked the front desk for a room in a quieter location. The front desk didn't hesitate changing […] our room (thus my high rating for the service at the hotel). The rooms are dark and the bathroom was in need of serious renovating. The tiles were cracked on the floor and the shower head was dangling onto the pipes. The location is great. It's only a 15 minute walk into town and there is also a free shuttle (much needed after a long day of hiking). The ratings of this hotel are generous and I will look elsewhere for my next stay in Jackson. Les mer

This hotel must have been awesome in it's heyday of the 70's and 80's. For 2011 it is outdated, needs some touch-ups and general cleaning but overall it's just fine. For the money it was great. We too, like another reviewer, had a room by the elevator and I was ready to request another room but it turned out fine. I could hear the elevator if i tried […] but never found it bothersome. Since the hotel is a bit out of way to downtown access to the SMART bus was nice. Les mer

Getting somewhat long on the tooth as far as room condition. Had to run A/C on max and barely cool. If windows would have had screens on them, could have opened windows at night and been more comfortable.
