Vi bodde 5 dager på dette hotellet. Rommet har atkomst fra svalgang og er av vanlig amerikansk standard. Hotellet er beliggende i annen rekke fra stranden, litt langt mot nord, men med hyggelige omgivelser. Bassenget er lite for voksne, men ok for mindre barn. Rommet inneholder mikrobølgeovn og kjøleskap, men det er dårlige muligheter for å spise på rommet.

Det var stor forsell på rommene vi fikk. Det ene var ok på alle måter, mens det andre hadde en inngangsdør som så vidt lot seg åpne og lukke. Og i gangen var det litt dårlig lukt, samt at det ikke var særlig varmt på badet. Rommene er utstyrt med lokalt aircondisionagregat, og dtte medfører endel støy. Videre virker restaurant og bar "litt kalde" og ikke så alt for trivelige. Et pluss for gode senger og masse puter for dem som liker dette.

Hotellet har en fin beliggenhet nede ved sjøkanten og i direkte forbindelse med et fint gangsystem langs bryggene, og samtidig nært til Norfolks trivelige bysentrum. Betjeningen er hyggelig og hjelpsom.

"You get what you pay for..."
Room had an amazing view of the beachfront, it was very roomy and was comfortable (except the pullout bed was horrible and the toilet was too close to the tub so it was not easy to sit on). Room had a nice size fridge which certainly comes in handy. Two complaints I had are 1) the airconditioner in the bedroom (when not turned on) let in a lot of the […] outside noice into the room. Also, affortable hotels of this kind attrack a lot of undesirable "kind" of people and there were a lot of noisy parties around us, there were two instances where these party patrons even tried to get into our room thinking that it was the room where the party was at. "The Maid was wonderful!"
The location was great. The maid checked every day to see what we needed and so cheerful. The rooms are older and the bathroom very tiny and hard to turn around in. For the price it was pretty good. The water was freeaing.

"bathroom impossible"
plenty of room in the living area ; but no dsihes pots or pans , silverware etc. the bathroom was mildewed and the toilet was angled and awkward to use. upon arriving the elevator slammed me as I was attempting to enter with luggage; large scrape marks on doors where it struggles to open and close; may be dangerous. Front desk staff rather remote and […] indifferent to guests. When we checked out Saturday morning no one at desk people waiting for 15 minutes till someone was supposed to come back. "Travelodge Suites VA BEACH"
The property is older, but nice. And the location is superb. We had a couple issues with our room, One AC unit was not working, but the staff was quick to assist and remedy the situation. The staff was caring and truly wanted our stay to be an enjoyable one. They did everything in their power to make our stay comfortable.
"Quality Based on Cost"
The hotel was just average, my husband did not feel particularly comfortable. This hotel could really use some renovations. The parking was very inconvenient, we really stepped out on faith with this one!
"It's on the Beach, what more could you what"
The hotel sets at 19th and Atlantic Ave. The middle of the main drag! Perfect location! Parking sucks really bad and there is no handicap parking. For the most part it is a clean place, just the age makes it look a bit run down. A little fresh paint would go a long way. Over all I would stay there again, its not a five star but you are not paying five […] star rates, which is still crazy expensive. I guess because it is the beach! "Very cold loud hotel"
Hotel is not for families, very loud at night. The room was very cold because the balcony door did not close all the way, it was very drafty! Walls seemed very thin you could hear your neighbor talking as if they were in your room. We were in Va Beach for the weekend for our daughters Dance Competition and we stayed at the Travelodge on Atlantic Ave, it was a Great location and very nice staff, the only minor problem was the bathroom it was rather small but as for the rest it was great and at a great price. "Not a good stay"
I was expecting it to be a little rough based on the other reviews and price, but I didn't expect it to be that filthy. Bathroom was very tiny and dirty in all corners of floor and drain, ew! Stains on furniture, cigarette butts on balcony floor, the furniture on the balcony was exceptionally dirty. Every outlet we tried to plug in our phone charger […] was dangerously loose. TV reception was static/poor. Heard every noise from every guest, walls must be made of paper. Kitchenette stovetop was broken and when we opened the kit cabinets, reeked of mold inside. I would say the ocean view would have made our stay a little nicer, but the guests on all sides of us were smoking, so we didn't get much fresh air, but that could happen at any hotel. Les mer

The view is excellent........ from the toilet seat directly into the shower, they should have just been connected. Had to sit diagonally on the John in order to be somewhat comfortable, or just put one leg in the tub. Whichever works. "Travel Host"
Bad timing "Spring Breakers" doing their thing caused the police to come and knock on doors. They kept me up until 3:00 am and I had to get up at 6:00 am with an all day event and a 7:00 hour drive home made it a long day. I had to get some air freshener for the room.

Nice if you're not expecting much. Clean room. Slow, old elevator. Nice view. The bar across the street is really noisy and I could hear it in the bedroom (which is on the street side). My balcony didn't feel particularly secure because there was just a board between my neighbor and me, so I'd suggest locking your balcony door. "Never write a review but..."
Where to begin. I travel to Virginia Beach a few times a year and thought I would save some money and stay here. Bad idea. Here is why: 1. Bathtub didn't drain. 2. Closet collapsed when I hung shirts. 3. Tile was broke. 4. Carpet torn back so much I kept stepping on the tack strip, kind of hurt. 5. Room was not really clean. 6. Had to hook the cable […] cord up to the tv (don't ask) 7. Elevator kept waking me up (thin walls) 8. Non-smoking room smelled smoky. 9. Heavy construction in the room next to mine so I had to call at 10PM and complain. 10. Not sure if they rent by the hour but there was some funny business going on in the room next to me. I don't really mind staying in a place like this if I am in Mexico or some other developing country. The staff was extremely nice but clearly inept when it comes to running a hotel. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra bucks on some place else. Les mer

"Just looks old and moldy"
I recently stayed over the weekend only because of the oceanfront view and cheap rate but do your research because you will probably find something cheaper with the same views. Elevator sounded like it would break down any minute, no breakfast, room was old one of the AC units was broke. "Travel lodge oceanfront"
Our room was oceanfront top floor. Amazing view. Huge room. Much bigger than I expected. Elevator was a little ghetto as was the ceiling in the room but other than that it was perfect. I recommend this place to anyone. Great location too.

"Went Down Over Time"
For the last 6 years when I would visit my home town in Va Beach, this Travelodge was the place to stay. Over time it went down on everything from maint. to just being clean. There are bugs and the elevator alone is annoying. This last time, we literally had to switch rooms 3 times. Fridge broken, no shower pressue and then sink didnt drain. I no longer […] recommend this location. This year I tried a new Hotel and will not go back to this location, which is sad. The rooms are laid out like suites; the location and oceanfront rooms are completly wasted here. Les mer

Overall, it was a nice stay overnight with a wonderful view of the beachfront. Bathroom was on the small side with toilet turned at an angle but still fully functional.

"Travelodge VA Beach - great in December"
Great place to stay in December, with the Christmas lights on the boardwalk and great views of it from the suite. FYI, just about all the rooms in this hotel are oceanfront. The hotel is older, but our room had been refurbished in the last two years and was in decent condition. Very comfortable beds.

"Travelodge on Virginia Beach"
As with other reviews about this hotel, it is old and in need of some upgrades. The door to the balcony needed weatherproof stripping to prevent outside air from coming in. The shower curtain rod was not tight and sinking down which made the curtain slide toward the middle and not stay against the wall. We had to ask for extra towels even though I booked […] it for 4 people (we only had one bath towel, wash rag, and hand towel upon checking in). I had to go ask for restock of soap and shampoo. The coffee maker stopped working on last day of stay. However, the staff was friendly and accommodated us upon request of the needed things above. Check in and check out was fast and easy. The cheap rate we got (off season) was very palatable, and helped us overlook the inadequacies of the hotel. Great location right on the beach with every room having an ocean view. Parking was adequate, but confusing as some could park under the breezeway which could have blocked us in or out depending on which way we went. Also, the elevator door made a terrible screechingn sound when opening/closing. Hotel needs serious repairs for me to stay again. Still, it was a good price and location if you want to be on the beach. Les mer
The staff is very nice and friendly. The hotel rooms need updating/remodeling. Some rooms had some remodeling done. I like the oceanfront view and price. The beds are comfortable. I would stay again.
